Sometimes i feel like i have nothing to do against those decks, i know is rng based and is a 8 cost. But idk i dont get whats the fun part of mixing duel cards in standard.
Dont get me wrong i apreciate the new mechanics and that stuff, but i think that the battlecry efect should be chnaged with a more restrictive condition, like after u play 5 dragons or whatever, something that makes all decks can play It too, to be fair theres only 3 clases that can use It consistenly.
Maybe im salty idk im at d2 rn and 8 out of muy last 10 games was against druid, priest, and warrior.
I just wanna know what do you think.
Edit: i enjoy control decks but i think that we are on a point that is not about play your resources in the BEST way, just get kazakusan and pray to get good stuff
Fun design card which unfortunately leads to very polarising meta. Meta is now Kazakusan druid beating all slower decks, agro decks trying to rush druid and control decks farming these aggressive archetypes.
In the last VS report was said that it is probably the most polarised meta since quest rogue Ungoro meta. The matches are like you either win or lose (30/70,70/30). Stormwind questlines were even less polarised.
I like Kazakusan, but I don't think the current form of this card or druid, in general, will keep fun for me for a long time. Hoping for some changes in a week or two.
I like the card itself but dislike how its being used/abused. Some of this will fix itself when rotation hits, but I still think too many of the treasures are overpowered and go face.
If I had to suggest what would feel better to me it would be either you only get 5 cards from it \OR the 10 cards given were randomly chosen. The power level of a few of the treasures are simply too good and frankly not defendable.
Kazakusan is a problem when it comes down to the board too fast. The card itself is not a big problem. They need to nerf some mana cheating / cost reduction cards before touching the card. It is also their preferable way to nerf older cards instead of the new one.

I have to agree - this is my feeling too. When I originally saw it I thought that it will be a cool card. In practice most games are now a race - either to play Kazak or to kill the opponent before they play him. Druid is clearly the worst offender as they have insane mana ramp, can easily tutor him, and assuming they get Guff as well, they can do some seriously OP stuff with the excesss mana.
There's also nothing fun about being hit in the face with 6 mega fireballs in one go.
Maybe Warlock will come up with a deck which can reliably burn stuff, but in all honesty that isn't going to make the meta any more fun.
Edit: Not that it would make things much better with respect to druid, but you have to wonder if he should be a 10 mana card. A late game, "do nothing now" card that would normally be seen as a "win more" card and (again outside of druid) couldn't be combo'd with anything else on the turn it was played.
Some of the treasures probably need a touchup regardless of druid. And the relationship between ramp and Kaz is difficult to disentangle. Hitting the ramp this close to rotation might be a way, but the way I see it, Guff himself needs a nerf, he will eventually get one anyway. And then Kaz or the treasures need to be changed somewhat.
Other than that, it kinda blows playing Duels in standard, not what I queued for. Best example is a game from the Masters tour, board of boom bots into rancor into double book worked as a one-turn-kill. Not to mention solar-embers, etc etc. That's just stupid.
Druid is the reason we cant have nice expensive things. Kaz is perfectly fine in Warrior and Priest, cheap and unconditional ramp in Druid is the true culprit.
I really hope they start making ramp cards with more restrictions like Breath of Dreams, that was the best example of a balanced and good ramp spell imo.
I’ve been trying to Play disruption warlock, tickatus, 2 alter of fires, yash, it is super hilarious when he plays kazakusan and I immediately kill the entire deck, but more often then not he can play it turn 5-7 when he has 10+ mana and I haven’t seen those cards yet so it’s an auto loss. The problem if that by turn 6 a Druid is almost guaranteed to have kazakusan. And even though I’m drawing cards I cant just pick out tickatus or mutanus. Like Druid can for kazakusan.
It seems we're headed toward a control vs aggro meta with Kazakusan druid and some of these other decks. I'm 1000% down for it. It feels fresh to not have to deal with so much 'from hand' OTK and aggro. We've needed this for so long.
I would love an explanation as to how Kazakusan Druid would qualify as control. A win condition that can be tutored and comes down on turn 5 is not a control deck. Just admit you’re running the card and move on instead of attempting mental gymnastics to explain how the deck isn’t busted rn.
Every time there are new powerful cards, people need time to adjust.
This is even worse with Kazakusan because a lot of people don't even know what options there are. It sure doesn't help that the card is presented in a lackluster way by most sources - including Hearthpwn - and you have to go information hunting to find out.
The meta should slowly adapt and Kazakusan should be fine. If an 8-drop with no immediate impact is too strong, then the problem is not that card's power, but the other cards' lack of it.

This was valid criticism. We had the information about the threasures in the Reveal post, but you had to actually know it was in there and find it when it is nto current news anymore.
I have therefor added all 29 treasures that Blizzard listed in the reveal on the Kazakusan card page, in the description. Including a note about Quel'delar. I hope this satisfies the need for this information and puts it in a place where people expect to find it.
In future if there's something like this where you feel information is missing, feel free to contact anyone on staff and bring it up. I wanna know your opinion.
I mean how do u think the standard meta is rn?

Kazakusan would be fine if druid was prohibited from playing it. Now it makes meta unbearable.

Druid ramp cards are the biggest offender here.

Editing out my last comment, not accurate
I'd say the card itself is fine.
Druid having 20 mana to cheat out some insane combos that is the problem. Play it in any other deck it will be a decent card .
prizes and manacost need to be changed, that's it
The other problem with Kazakusan is that even monkey can play it, choose book of the dead and embers of ragnaros and play it in right order.

Was also the most OP one , 1 mana ramp+draw a card for 2 ..

It probably came too soon.

It's a finisher played on turn 5-6.
Only aggro can beat this. And not without some luck.
It should cost 13 and reduced by 1 per dragon played from hand.
