Probably not at legend rank or between diamond 5 and legend. And believe it or not: You actually have to plan and think through your turns with owl lock, it's not auto-pilot like many blame it to be.
Shouldn’t be possible except, it was one game. Even if a deck has an 80% win rate against another deck, it loses one game out of five. Also, hunter has been a pretty good counter to warlock for some time. This isn’t news, this is expected.

Ok thats a point.
Maybe my experience from other card games just don't fit with Hearthstone. Because in other TGC´s its impossible to win with a basic/beginner deck against a constructed deck with thoughtful synergies.
Might have been your opponent's first time tackling the OwlTK deck, it's not the easiest to 'pilot' at first. Still, anytime it loses is a win for the game IMHO, so GG.

Well, you have to look at it this way: warlock's synergy is using the Rod and card draw to create massive discounts and card advantage, but it comes at a price.
Every hero power is a free hero power for the hunter, narrowing the gap it takes to kill the warlock.
So if the warlock isn't careful, clears the board and heals up, there comes a point where the hunter will just push through.

What TCGs are those? Because, for example, in MtG, even in the highest level of standard constructed, a solid percentage of the games is decided by mana screw or mana flood and has nothing to do with decklists.

That sounds really unpleasant. I'm not sure how long I'd stick with a game that had such a hostile approach to onboarding new players.

Wow, such a good statement after one match. Keep us updated, please!
Det är bättre med en fågel i hand, än tiger i träd!
I ate a brownie once?

Yeah, but first try or not?
Was between diamond 5 and legend.
And my point is just that its possible to play a free deck and win against a meta deck. Shouldn't be possible in a competitive game imo.
Why shouldn't that be possible? Isn't that what players want the game to be? Balanced?

Heck yeah. I defeated that brownie with a bloody basic skinny white boy build. It was funny and sad at the same time...
Damn, that's nice! Good job!
Last time I tried to eat a brownie RNG screwed me over and I fell and hit my head on the kitchen counter.
Stats show brownies are a bad matchup for me, so I usually just concede as soon as I queue into one to save myself the trouble.
Life, huh?
wow some funny little bastards here. fuck you
