Paid for mini set crafted warrior quest and barov. I'm ready to try.
First opponent: nzoth priest. I lost. I think I need to play more aggressive than I did. Loss could be a pilot problem. Next time I will flood board every chance.
2nd game evolve shaman . Another loss. Not sure I could have played more aggressive.
Game #3 claimed my first victory vs. quest mage. Felt like my deck was just faster.
#4. Mirror. Lost. Going 2nd seemed a big disadvantage.
#5 some weird hunter. Easy win.
#6 lost to handbuff pally. Seemed very strong.
#7 won mirror going 2nd. His list vatied from mine.
#8. Beat quest mage.
#9 lost mirror going 2nd
#10 won vs quest mage.
After 10 games a 50% win record. Built mostly on the back of quest mage. Not terrible, let's see if I get better with the next 10.
11 beat hero power mage. Easy win
12 eeked out a victory vs. face hunter on the back of cargo pirate.
13 another quest mage, another W.
14 loss to nzoth pally. I had a bad draw
15 loss to quest rogue. Felt like I was losing entire game.
If you think that a “top tier” deck will easily get you to legend you are either new to the game or quite naive… the matchmaking will make sure your win rate is kept at 50-52%. You win 9 games on average and lose 8 and the endless boring grinding begins
Don't chase losses if you're tired. I generally find it's best to take a break after three losses in a row, both for your mental health and to give the RNG machine a chance to bully someone else.
Assuming you have a reasonable chunk of bonus stars, aim to get to Diamond 5 around the middle of the month. The hardest part of the climb is from this point onwards so you want to have time for it, but also... it's December. There's gonna be irl stuff you want to do as well, so you NEED more time.
You're already doing the right thing playing a proactive deck, but don't be afraid to switch it up if need be.
Remember the new set comes out in a week or so. This works both for you (because you can get easy wins from people trying new things and building inefficient decks) and against you (because you'll have more cards to consider).
You should take more notes for the games that you lose. For example, on which turn did you start losing in tempo? Did you make any mistakes? On What turn did you have to make a serious decision and what did you pick? Would your second choice have prevented you from losing? etc. When i first grinded for legend i would write (brief) notes of all my turns and highlight when i lost or gained the upper hand. I learned a lot by reviewing my playstyle like that.

Yep. Only when I started to analyze my games turn-by-turn I made that final push from D5 to Legend. And as a bonus by doing that you gain confidence and losing anxiety as you switching your focus from results to making the best moves possible each turn.
its not that big of a deal. im playing HS next to netflix and i made it today. yesterday i had 2h winstreak from bronze 10 to d5 with 10 stars and today i made it. wild pirate warrior.

True. But I've been playing for what? 6-7 years now and never done it. So it would be a big deal for me personally.
That being said, I've never played enough games in a month to make it possible either.
Sadly I don't think I'm going to make it. Already getting bored of the deck. I'm pretty sure I -could- make it. Deck is strong enough. I'm good enough. I Just don't enjoy the play style. I haven't really enjoyed a deck since Galakrond Priest.

Yes. I expect to have to play in the neighborhood of 300 matches. Should be extremely grindy.

Thanks. Hopefully my deck won't be trash in a week, I didn't consider that.
16 beat quest priest. Badly.
17 beat quest mage
18 beat mirror

Sorry to keep spamming this thread. I was hoping to keep editing one post with my notes, but it seems to not let me.
19 - Beat libram pally. He never mounted much of a defense.
20 Beat Quest WArlock. Just crushed him. I had a 5/5 weapon on turn 5.
AFter 20 games 13-7. Up to 65%. Not bad, but currently playing in Silver. Started my climb from the very bottom.
21 Lost to Rez Priest. I'm not sure I can beat that deck.

Needed 80 games to get from bronze to legend this season with Quest Warlock. Warriors are overhyped.
Did it with Elemental Shaman this season. Had a very good winrate vs Warrior.
