..... Or you could just play a brainless aggro deck (shaman or hunter) that doesn't care about what your opponent is playing, play 5 minute games and just go legend immediately. Works since the launch of HS.
Any monkey with Hearthstone on their phone can reach legend if they just copy the decks posted by GM competitors. Eventually you'll get there even if you don't know what you're doing.
Why not challenge yourself and play something different? Make up your own deck to beat mages and warlocks if that's what you're seeing a lot of? (hint: Crossroads Watch Post and Ogremancer can win these games alone -> build around them)
I mean, if you enjoy those kinds of fast decks with short games, then that's a bonus for you, but I wouldn't play just to reach legend rank as fast as possible and then put the game down. Enjoy it a little bit while you're here.
crossroads watch post is a pretty epic card really. Mages and non-aggro druids get absolutely shafted by it and warlock has a hard time dealing with them. Big warrior is also doing fine despite all the mages :)
All the hottest WILD decks suffered, in fact even the crazy Pirate Warrior seems slightly unfavoured. Should I remind you again that I'am dominating Wild with a PURE Standart deck ? xD
Needless to say this same deck is High legend ranked in Standart, in fact I got so bored of it doing so exceptionally well, that I had to switch to Wild, and wasn't even challenged there. (I usually never play Wild and used to be scared of it)
Conviction and Battleground Battlemaster is just such a outrageously absurd combo, honestly both cards should have been banned from Hearthstone altogether, and I'am saying that as a Pala main. Those nerfs to them did little to nothing, when you can consistently win on Turn 8 or 7.

I mean, putting your kind of silly grandstanding aside... this part is a true fact.
You can't let a paladin keep even the smallest minions on board or else this combo will punish. I mean... after 5 mana.. or let's say at 8, because conviction costs 2 now, and battlemaster is 6 mana... if the paladin has 2x 2-attack minions on board, they can suddenly do 20 damage out of nowhere!
And that's a pretty low number, chances are they have minions with more than 2 attack, sitting there, behind a divine shield or something.
No amount of health total is safe. o_o

From rank 5 to rank 4 just play face hunter because it's full of Mages and Warlocks that are stuck at rank 5 with garbage decks.
After you reach rank 4 and just play control warrior since it's only Aggro decks
I played face hunter to rank 3 it works fine.

EVERYONE , GET A BEER!
Honestly, here is the dos and donts:
dos:
- ANACONDRA DRUID !(i have 80% winrate with this deck in 70matches)
- FACE/AGGRO anything
donts:
- never play control
- paladin is a lie.

This post is complete bullshit ,.... but as bad as you are you didn't check it.
went on to a 33-1 roll (one loss to Pirate Warrior) in Wild with my STANDART Mid-Range Aggro "sticky-brothers" Paly deck running Robes of Protection, Kazakus, Golem Shaper and even Moonfang
