I stopped playing HS about a month ago, because i got bored by the paladin meta. now i'm looking for a fun deck to play, that can manage a ~50% wr. my current elo is 9 bonus stars at bronze 4 (=10 at end of month).
i played a slower elemental shaman list i saw on hsreplay, but i didnt really enjoy the way it played. i played 11 games, 7 of which were vs Aggro Shaman, 3 Face Hunter and one random mage deck. i've beat one hunter, lost 6/7 shaman games. (naturally when i finally swapped to rush warrior because i got fed up with shaman, i immediately faced 2 ramp druids in a row and lost to 8/8 clowns on turn 7. made me feel a bit salty ngl)
did i just get unlucky or is playing a deck that ends the game before turn 6 the only way to win in the current meta?
fighting cancer with cancer is does not sound very appealing so i'm looking for recommendations for decks that stand a chance against shaman and are actually fun to play. are there any decks that are neither hyper aggro nor high roll, or are they simply too bad for the current meta?
What rank are you at? Slower decks are generally more viable at higher ranks. I was playing Kibler's frostfire mage at Plat last month with about a 55-60% winrate but I could not win a game in Bronze this month until I swapped to Face Hunter
Yep - braindead and broken. Perfect deck for the masses. Its so ridiculous. It has unlimited everything. Easy wins and no thought required.
Ok so as a Deathrattle DH player, it isn't the most complex thing in the world but it's a lot of fun! Varied enough to keep you engaged, keeps up with so much of the meta, and overall is a flexable deck archtype that you can combine with other deck types! (Meagerie, Token, Big Demons, etc.)
If you're worried about it being too strong, then while stats and research makes it feel op, in practice it seems to net a positive WR and (even better) it isn't completely braindead and can sometimes run into walls, which is great!

I got 3 words for you, Deathrattle Demon Hunter
thanks for the tip, i'll give it a try!
5 more games 5 more shamans :) this is even more fun than the 75% paladin meta
Moved to Standard Format forum -- as this doesn't appear to pertain to Classic.

Play with some Control Warrior decks. There are a couple different archetypes to try out and they absolutely feast on the glut of Shamans on ladder.
