My opponent was DH and he had 4 atk with his hero. He played glide and pulled the wife from my deck. The 3/7 attacked his face and took 4 dmg from him and then he could cleared it.
Was this always like this or iam just dumb?

Once upon a time there laughed a man. He had a great big beard and a company he ran. He rapped better than most. He memed harder than Toast. Now he’s embarked upon a new road. Goodbye, goodbye, we love you Ben Brode
Heroes can only have attack on their own turns, but if something somehow attacks them while its their turn and they have attack, the minion takes damage in return, like it would trading with another minion.
There’s an article on the wiki somewhere saying this interaction has always been in the game. I had the same thing with the frenzy minion that attacks a random enemy after taking damage and looked it up. I guess it’s such a rare interaction that it takes you by surprise when it happens.
Weapons are "sheathed" during the opponent's turn, bringing hero Attack back to zero during that time. Therefore, minions only take retaliatory weapon damage in the rare case of hitting a hero on the hero's own turn - currently only possible through Misdirection.
