Wow, an honest to God argument that Tickatus is BETTER than Jaraxxus in a control v control matchup. I knew the Tick naysayers were dedicated, but now I have truly seen it all.
Sitting here arguing about tempo considerations . . . we clearly need to get back to basics on tempo vs. value. There was an 8/8 charge minion in the old Deathrattle Hunter decks, but it was Rexxar that made the deck unbeatable to all control decks at the time. Well, all control decks except the Big Spell Mage that ran Frost Lich Jaina . . . but she's 9 mana too so clearly she's way too slow in a control match.
I hope to God those posts were just trolls.
What's really funny about that debate is what happens this time next year. After a year and a half of non-stop Tickatus bitching (assuming of course the mob is unsuccessful in getting it HoF'ed or nerfed to oblivion before then), the Tick will rotate out of standard and THEN everyone will suddenly make the surprising discovery that ALL CONTROL DECKS ARE STRANGLED BY . . . JARAXXUS!!!!! And round and round the bitching carousel goes.
Meanwhile, Silas Warrior continues to maintain a commanding win rate against the Tick, and I'm up to almost 70 games now. When I hit 200 I'm just writing up the stat report and spam-linking it in response to every Tick post.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Having played mostly control priest this entire meta, and having Tickatus warlock easily be my worst matchup, I'm actually reasonably okay with the relative power level right now. Mainly because warlock gets sh*t on by so many current meta decks that you just don't see that many in high legend, giving me free reign to play my priest that has a favorable matchup vs the current popular decks. And sure, if I match up against a control lock, I'm certainly not favored to win that game. I can and I have, but I probably have less than a 40% winrate against them. But, my deck should have weaknesses and I'm okay with one of them (a big one) being Tickatus, especially when I literally haven't seen one in over 10 games.
That being said, Tickatus is a problem card. It might not be as big a deal right now because there's plenty of decks currently being played keeping it in check. However, eventually it'll need to be addressed. It's a card that severely limits design space because the very moment that Blizzard gives warlock the tools to mitigate their current weaknesses, Tickatus warlock will become the most oppressive deck in the game. To prevent that, Blizzard has to either A: Never give warlock the tools necessary to make up for their weaknesses (thereby limiting design space) or B: Eventually nerf Tickatus.
My prediction: I suspect that sometime after either the mini-xpac (that we'll see in another month and a half) or the next full on xpac, Tickatus will see the inevitable nerf. Eventually, warlocks will simply be given the tools to makeup for their current shortcomings and when that happens, they'll become too oppressive and the card will get nerfed. Until then, I wouldn't hold my breath on there being any changes or nerfs for warlock.
You can't talk about how people don't understand the game when you argue Tickatus gets kept in check because of aggro. That's not a real counter for control decks; in a healthy meta you'd have aggro-control-combo but since Tickatus is both the best control and combo deck and counter, it only loses to aggro. The card solely makes people create more aggro and there you go; unhealthy and annoying meta.
If the card was fine, they'd print a neutral counter for control decks to run that basically removes Tickatus from play. It's not; it pushes the meta in a bad direction and prevents cool decks and cards from being playable.
Tickatus corrupt should be both decks. Mage cards that are the real issue are refreshing water and incanters flow. Cant believe they aren’t getting more attention with how insane they are.

If burning cards from both decks is good, why noone is running Altar of Fire? 1 mana without any setup is so strong, right?

Tickatus could be changed to 3 cards, same effect.

Ok, seriously, Warlock is overhyped and if you want to play good deck you need to go Warrior or Paladin.
One serious nerf suggestion is new Alex. This card is played everywhere and rightfully so. Neutral Pyroblast is not funny.
