Guys just make a coalition and all play face hunter until nerf pops in. It doesn't matter the other matchups, just kill all mages.
This is what I am doing, my only enjoyment playing now is to kill mages at turn 5 and frustrate them like they do with the community, I'll do this until nerfs and I invite you to do the same.
Do you prefere facing 5 mages and 1 paladin, lose all 5 games to deck of lunacy,
or play face hunter, lose vs paladin, but destroy all 5 mages? you have the answer
Tickatus isn't as OP though is he? Annoying yes. But not on the same level as DoL, you don't play Tickatus on curve and win the game. Last time I checked his stats on Hsreplay his played win percentage was less than 50%. I don't really care if they nerf him or not tbh, not a meta breaking card at all.
Lunacy on the other hand is a different matter all together - its not about the fact that the card is so strong because at face value DoL isn't a great card, its the fact the pool of spells available is so good that when you play it after an incanter flow you consistently get good spells which are discounted (and then normally discounted further). Whatever way you look at it, DoL is bad for the game. There's another thing I've noticed (and I don't mean to come across as rude here but it has to be said) is that there seems to be a lot of players who are performing above their skill level because of the DoL mage. I see so many people making terrible plays with this deck, not even thinking ahead to the next turn they just burn and hope for the best, then they still win the game just because they have an endless supply of discounted powerful spells. You'd expect to see that level of playing on the silver ladder or maybe gold but never at legend or > d5 Its stupidly easy to play.
I wonder how many players made it to legend or d5 first time ever with this deck? It will be interesting to see the stats behind it. Its not even good for those players either because when it gets nerfed they aren't going to be able to keep up with better and more experienced players and I bet a lot of those players wouldn't have made it to legend playing control warlock and tickatus, I think that in itself should tell you all you need to know.
The problem with Warlock tickatus is that it's almost a no match against any slow/control deck that could destroy Mage. Just nerfing mage will change nothing as Warlock will be all over the meta because it's completely busted and it's only counter by agressive deck
I found weapon/soul demon hunter. So much face value. Plus the new inquisitors are so busted. I hated playing any demon hunter (only have like 70 wins with them) but loved soul shard demon hunter right before the rotation. It only lost 4 cards (2 blade dance and 2 twin slice) I replaced them with 2 inquisitors and 2 Fury.
The whole point of Tickatus is to counter combo decks. How can it be considered fair for a deck to do nothing every turn and just draw alls the cards then combo the win in one turn without the other player having any opportunity to react?
There's a reason all the pro's are saying the DoL is OP and not Tickatus.
There's a reason why mage is banned from the upcoming tournaments and Warlock and Paladin aren't.
If you're looking at HSreplay and seeing Paladin as the Tier 1 deck and assuming its OP based on that, you don't understand the game. Paladin is the number one deck because its the only deck what can compete with DoL mage and it isnt even a hard counter, people are only playing to counter mage. Paladin isn't an issue for most other decks - I've never considered paladin OP when going against them with Warrior, Warlock, Rogue and Druid. The secret are easy to play around, the weapon is a little strong but not game breaking. You cant play around DoL, if its played on turn 2 I lose, doesn't matter what deck I'm playing because the only chance that I have to win is if the mage misplays. There has never been a deck that can put on this amount of burst damage, draw this amount of cards and also put up an endless supply of strong minions on the board.
There’s always the “Go On Strike” strategy that was popularized during the outlands Demon Hunter banana fiesta..
Nothing to it, just rope every turn when you face someone playing lunacy mage. Turn their abuse of a currently broken deck awaiting nerf into agonizingly drawn out matches that may cause that player to stop queuing for games in the immediate future. It’s toxic, it’s maladaptive, and it works. It’s a serious small-dick-energy strategy, but then again so is abusing lunacy mage right now so you end up net neutral. They’re willingly fuckingup the fun of the game for you without a second thought, so you might as well drag them down into the septic tank with you.
It’s negative sportsmanship to be sure... but to willingly play fairly in a game where the odds are stacked so heavily against you is accepting the condemnation to misery... and that’s a big ‘No’ for me, dawg.

Most of the decks mentioned, won't get a high winrate either, because they lose to Paladin.
Does it matter losing to paladin when the majority of the deck you face are mages? At the moment is more important winning vs mages than paladin

paladin is much more cancer so stop posting what to counter mage, any aggro counter mage
I'm doing the exact same thing and I've never been a DH player either. This is my list: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1384597-barrens-soul-dh
It works great as long as they don't play deck of lunacy on turn 2. Other matchups are going well so far, the damage and healing outputs are insane.
Went from diamond r5 to legend with a 90% win rate ( more like 87 but ye ) with a modified hunter, let me know if it works out for you.
