I'm honesty just gad this doesn't make you DRAW cards, so once you hit fatigue, if you saved your value or were luck enough to draw them at all(or mass removals, such as TA Reno/Priest Gala, Plague of Death, Brawl) you stand a chance once they've destroyed your deck....and with all the draw they themselves are doing you'll only hit it about 2-3 turns before them.
Since the new expansion i played only once against Tickatus. Is this deck/card really so popular and a problem?
It’s more of a problem in theory that it hard counters control and combo decks and contributes to the aggro meta. The joke is that the aggro meta needs no help, it’s still bonkers even after nerfs.

Does seem to be on the rise since the patch. I played against it a lot last night, more than I have seen it in the last couple of weeks combined. It really punishes control and part of the problem may be people building quite heavily against aggro due to the meta pre patch and those decks now need to adapt a bit.
It does feel like it should be an 8 cost card. It's stats and effect can come fairly consistently before turn 10 but I guess a problem with it being an 8 cost card would be that it's a bit difficult to corrupt consistently and potentially just destroy the card.
Another part of the problem is it feels horrible to lose to and if you're playing control and warlock comes up then you know your chances are far slimmer. Just have to hope they draw him in the second half of their deck but the targeted draw warlock has seems to really help with the consistency of getting him out by turn 10
I dont mind playing against a tikatus deck even when I am control. That's the fun. I even win some... I dont whine about losing. I treat tickatus as a combo deck.

Yeah I'd agree there. It's a kind of hybrid in a way, lots of removal, decent amount of healing etc. It can be fun in a way that you know pretty early that you need to get a rush on and the first Tickatus is fine, even if it kills my C'thun etc. The second one though on the Y'Shaaj turn does feel a little cheap and like there's very, very little you can do. It's a huge swing turn that is incredibly difficult to come back from.
Deck of lunacy actually fairs quite well against it though because there's no actual game plan to destroy. Plus if you pop it early you do usually get a fair amount of card draw in the upgraded cards so you can sometimes race through your deck and it's tough for the Warlock because they can't plan for anything really. Your whole deck is now completely random and consists of zero minions so their clears can be totally redundant. I've beaten Warlock by just smashing fireballs, negrand slam, power of creation etc so you don't rely on ever building a board.
I said it before about Glide - it's not about whether it's too good, it's about whether it's fun, and whether you can do anything about it.
There is nothing fun about your opponent removing half your deck, and, other than playing aggro, there is nothing meaningful you can do about it.
Blizzard has released far too many cards that the solution appears to be "play aggro and kill them before the card matters". An engaging and thought provoking game design if ever there was one!
It might not be tier 1 and you might not see it every game but this card casts a shadow over the whole game at the moment. As a card that can remove 5 and not be duplicated it's fine, but the corrupt and demon tag just make it far too easy to abuse. I'd rather have it as a card that can just be played to remove 5 without having to corrupt it if it meant it could only be used once a game.
Archivist Elysiana is the perfect late game counter for it and available to all classes
Also, as mentioned, most aggro decks deal with warlock comfortably.
Maybe a decent counter but it's not perfect. It isn't that hard for warlock to burn 10 of your cards by turn 11/12 and of she's in that third then you're stuffed.
I also think you're missing most people's point. It isn't that it's tier 1 and oppressive in that sense, it isn't dominating the game but it just feels bad to encounter. I'm not saying it's a bad card or a badly designed one, I actually think it's a great design but the opportunity to play it multiple times just takes your legs away. Burning 5 of your opponents cards is really strong. I've seen many a person cry for a dirty rat style card and this is far more powerful than that, just based on burning 5 cards. That is in itself a very strong effect and one that can completely swing the game. Being able to do it two or three times just feels cheap.
I don't mind losing to a game plan, even if it frustrates me at the time I almost always come around quite quickly and that's how I'll be about Tickatus being played. It quite often kills off something important and that's fine, it's the point of the card but I'm not sold on it being good to be able to generate it again and the fact you can play it for 0 mana the second time is a bit much.
The only thing stopping you burning 10 cards by turn 10 is not drawing 3 cards which in any other class might keep it in check more but draw is very easy for Warlock, not drawing a card often isn't the issue that class has whereas its a very real struggle in a lot of other classes and possibly keeps and has kept certain decks in check. Tickatus, Y'shaarj and a 7+ cost card. That's literally all you need and Tickatus having the demon tag means it can be pulled fairly, copied and/or discovered fairly reliably.
Say all you want that it's there to punish greedy decks but we're not saying the game should consistently get to turn 20 and beyond, that's a reasonable time for this sort of thing to happen, it's the way it comes out on turns 10/11/12 which is hardly what you can call a long game.
At least play devil's advocate, if you're an aggro player that's fine, not my thing but not a problem. Now imagine a class being able to slam down multiple taunts on turn 3/4 and then again on turn 6 only this time they also get a heal along with it and it basically shuts aggro down completely. I think that's sort of how some people (myself to a degree) find Tickatus. It's also a very low skill combination to play which I also don't think helps with the bad feeling. Etc for example requires decent planning, setup etc and can very easily be completely messed up by a bad decision but this combo is just so straight forward it feels cheap.
Rogue solution: cycle Ethereal Lackey early so you can fish for Togwaggle's Scheme. I had a fun game the other day where I was at a 10 card disadvantage but cycled 10+ Kronx Dragonhoofs into my deck right near fatigue.
Next turn, Galakrond + three 1 mana Kronxes. About as swingy a turn as there is.

Tickatus
And they get to copy him and then he comes back with
Y'Shaarj, the Defiler
WTH Hearthstone ???!? How am supposed to compete w 15 cards?
aggro... :)
To live is to suffer, to survive is to find meaning in the suffer!
Agree. You should not mess with your opponents deck, no disccusion.

Yeah this card is insane. The introduction of this card makes comp standard a game of rock paper scissors
Aggro>Tickatus Warlock>Control>Aggro
Love the card... Recently an opponent played tickatus against me... I still won... Was playing control deck.
