First up, apolgies for saaying the persons name in this Forum ( should have read the rules )
but Secondly, encountered the same toon again tonite (third time), warrior spamming taunts onto the board and roping every turn, have reported this guy twice already and nothing is being done.
To be fair, I wish I encountered bots on EU server. I can't really say that I have. Probably they are only in the lower ranks, since they won't win. If I were you, just see it as a free win, despite it's annoying to have a long game. And hey, it also gives YOU more XP ;-).
I just played against the most terrible warlock player on ladder, or its a bot. Played a random deck that had no purpose, did not attack with units sometimes.
the name was [MOD SNIP]
Interestingly "it" accepted my friend request, but then did not answer to any of my questions. I didnt know that there are bots in HS. Just thought "wow, you are so bad. You play like a bot"
Well...
Btw: I was Diamond 2 last season and i play on EU (just mention it, bc here was written that you encounter bots only in lower ranks...ok, not legend, but also not a "low" rank)

Lol, bots are smart enough to reach legend, so you might've run into some.
I played against an odd warrior with a control deck: it took about 20 minutes to finish. It had only taunts that were played randomly.
I am facing this exact bot right now. I am playing a meme deck trying to get one of the achievements (the Greybough one) so I don't mind, but otherwise it would be quite annoying. Not sure it is a bot though as at same later stage (after I kept leaving him with 1HP and killing my own Greyboughs to summon more) he even quit.
Not sure that everyone here is seeing actual bots (but then I dont play casual or wild). In standard its as plain as the nose on your face when they turn up and they seem to be most prevalent in the APAC region.
Usually War, Hunter or DH
do nothing but hero power every turn and then rope ( warrior variant plays random taunts)
if I can spot these in like 3 turns in I cant see why an auto monitor bot program cant............
When you can get max level (and 50g per level) before the season is over and not have to be at your computer to do it, that's money they don't have to spend on a preorder pack purchase. So literally time is money here.
It sucks for the other person though. Not everyone has the same goal of maxing levels for gold.
have heard reports from Blizz saying "its hard to spot the bots"
well try asking your programmers to spot what I have encountered this last week........
1) Warlock with 10 cards, burns his draw then HPs to burn another card, rope ropey
2) DH who uses his hero power but never attacks with it - even when the board is empty, ropey ropey
3) Warrior who plays all taunt minions and ropey ropey,
this isnt difficult, they managed it with WoW
I play like this and I'm not a bot rs I guess there's no bots...only kids complaining about legit players farming like blizzard intended to them after new reward system. Some stuff always come to bite us in the ass in the end.
no my friend you do not play like that, there is a difference between taking time to play your move and the bots....
do you play DH, use your HP but never attack.....
do you rope when you have 10 cards so you burn the next one when you have like 7 mana.....
do you rope every turn ....... every turn not just the first few just to con the gullible aggro decks that you are AFK (BTW the bots dont do that they use their HP to avoid the 15s so the game lasts longer for extra xp)
if you are on 2 life with no clears and your opponent has 20 attack on board do you rope again instead of hitting ESC and GG concede
Meanwhile I would love to face a dozen or two of those when trying to reach legend every month. Unfortunatelly I haven't seen any on EU server in months (at least not the stupid ones).
It makes sense that people would bot if even the moderators of this site would protect them.
Why not do something if it is so encouraged?
No one is protecting anyone genius. Naming and shaming is blocked on literally every major site to prevent witch hunting. What's to stop someone from just posting the username of someone they dislike and just saying "this guy is a bot" and getting them trashed?

But man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated.

1 week later and am still seeing them
TBH I think they are all in APAC region now,
easy to spot when they do nothing but HP and rope - time for Blizz to make a version of Warden for HS
Its really annoying when you mulligan against say a Hunter with early tempo removal and then watch as they play nothing on board.......
OK 3 weeks later and nothing from Blizz about this, still seeing them (again mostly on APAC )
got the "play all crappy taunts + HP and rope" warrior tonite, plus a shaman that was so badly programmed it lava bursted its own face.
I guess blue dont much look in here - but then Ive posted the same issue on Bnet :)

Encounter 1 bot warrior last night. Felt like conceding when he ropes every turn.
"On her first day on the job, Myra removed the smoke detectors."
I got a really "clever" bot last night, a mage. as per usual every turn to the rope.
Turn 1 coin apprentice (my turn 2 I backstab it)
Turn 2 .... Evocation..........

Still haven't faced a bot. Surely it has to be that your MMR is so low, that you're facing people who lose every game.
It kind of depends which region you are in, they are way more prevalent in APAC I dont know why.
as I write this post am playing another one the HP ropey warrior one. Its the less imaginative version of the genre.
You sure about that? Bots are capable of reaching legend.
