I'm sick of losing games to one random Zephrys against a deck with mostly duplicates until they run out of cards. makes control matchups incredibly frustrating when logic should dictate that they don't run Zephrys - with how many duplicates there are. This change would retain the power of Zephrys while enforcing the restriction he should require.
No. Imagine playing against highlander decks without any options for disruption whatsoever. In wild, raza priest would become more prevalent than it already is. It’s already enough of a restriction to have to draw most of your deck to play him. That’s why not every deck just throws him in as the last card.
Zephrys won’t ever be changed, it’s Team 5’s baby. It’s an insanely powerful card and a really neat design. That said, I won’t be sad when it leaves standard, Highlander decks with their one-card swing turns have worn out their welcome for me.
Then bombs, allbatross would be useless and rogue could scheme 100 zeps in their deck
It should ADD the requirement. No duplicate in the deck AND no duplicates at the start of the game. And it should apply to DQ as well. Nothing infuriates me more than a braindead Galakrond warlock vomiting cards out each turn and then unleashing those at the very end.

I'm confused. Scheming DQs into your deck shouldnt work the same way that wouldnt work with reno. Or do you mean a normal gal has dq to just hold until active?

Then maybe you should get good and fucking plan around them?

Zephrys didn't offer me a Flare against a Secret Mage with 3 active secrets, and 2 mana available, so I'm still mad at him.
Take a walk on the wild side...

But what if he did and one of the secrets was Counterspell ;)
One was probably a Counterspell anyway.......
