I'm curious how spellburst will work with resummoning. My understanding is that it is similar to divine shield and therefore should be active again when a minion is resummoned.
Somewhat similarly, if I cast Psyche Split on Onyx Magescribe, will I get the duplicate with or without spellburst active? Will they both activate off the Psyche Split giving me 4 spells to hand or do I get 2 and need to cast a second spell to proc the second Onyx Magescribe to get the remaining 2 cards?
Or if I Soul Mirror an opponent's unused Headmaster Kel'Thuzad will I get all the minions that die back after the cast or simply have his spellburst for my following spell cast?
We can only go on speculation at this point but I would expect it to work as a triggered check when the spell is cast.
So yes you would need to cast a second spell as those minions weren't under your control when you cast the spell. Shadow Madness
The split is a thinker but I would think that the duplicate would not have spellburst activated. The first one see's the spell be cast and the "trigger" is set to be activated but not yet completed. The copy is created in it's current state without the spellburst completed then the first minions spellburst goes off after the spell is completed but the copy never saw a spell being cast so it would still be ready.
Based on what I set out above their Kel never saw you cast the spell, so no you wouldn't get the minions back.
We don't know. My understanding is that is more likely a battlecry and not like a deathrattle, so it will not work with resummoning, like deathrattle. We will see.
I'll give my two cents here, but this is mostly speculation.
1) Any guy that resummons a guy will resummon the vanilla version. So, resummoning somebody that has had their spellburst active - or inactive - will summon an active form.
2) Speaking of shadow madness and mindgames, it's difficult to say, but I think it will work just like with Wild Pyromancer after it has been changed. So I feel like the spellburst effect won't get triggered. Not sure tho.
3) Same problem with Psyche Split, so taking in the assumption with wild pyro, if it was your onyx that you copied, only the original will give you two spells; if you copied your opponent's onyx, you'll get none.
4) Similar case with KT. It would be weird if he worked differently from other spellburst cards, sooo, in the same manner, this newly summoned KT would be with active spellburst and he would not summon minions.
Why, that's actually correct! KT's text specifically states that if the spell itself kills any minions, and all Soul Mirror does is summon minions that will attack their copies, which does not qualify as a spell-related destruction.
Why should KT summon the dead of soul mirror? They do not die from the spell, but from attacking
The spell is what makes them attack. Has there been confirmation that this doesn't count as the spell causing them to die? Before spell cast they were alive, after the spell they were dead. Seems like the spell caused them to die imo. I could see it either way but don't know if they officially confirmed it won't trigger from any spells that cause minions to attack like Ramming Speed, Duel!, etc.

So cards like Wretched Reclaimer, Catrina Muerte, Mindflayer Kaahrj, Grave Rune, and Psychopomp should work great at getting as many procs of the spellburst as possible.
However, spells themselves that bring back a spellburst make me unsure. If I Shadow Madness a Wretched Tutor or Diligent Notetaker or if I Mindgames a Goody Two-Shields does that spell cast count as the bursting spell or do I need to then cast a second spell?

edited a typo

Lakkari Sacrifice is good now.

The spellburst is still wasted tho lol
Its a baseline counter, once a valid spell is played, the counter is removed, and the effect triggers.
Think of it like how Wild Pyromancer works (but only once), anything that would trigger pyro would trigger the spellburst.
