It's a nerf because an experienced demon hunter would use his 0 mana Twin Slice to trigger Glaivebound, Satyr Overseer or Battlefiend in a mana-efficient way. Blizzard intend for Twin Slice was to emphasize class identity and as such, it is a trash card. It's basically a Heroic Strike, no one puts Heroic Strike in their deck but I wouldn't be suprised if you do. xD
What are you talking about? Heroic Strike always used in agressive warrior builds since forever and the DH card is better because is more versatile.

Seriously? If you can't see why being able to divide heroic strike damage among multiple targets without having to saturate your deck with more cards is good, then that says more about your skill at the game than the OP's.
Now, whether it's actually a nerf, buff or equivalent is still up for debate, but pretending it's just as bad as heroic strike is just an opinion from ignorance.

I never struggled winning against one. You know taunt is still a thing right?
Damn it, all these years no one in HS community thought of playing taunt minions against Pirate Warrior. Thanks for the suggestion, I will dm all wild HS pros about this new revelation.

Jokes aside, pirate warrior is the weakest in the current meta out of them, period. I play off meta decks and still ez win no biggie. Thats no surprise to a player like me who has played since vanilla, warrior has always been underpowered compared to other classes. The only 1 time he shined was where grim patrol combo was a thing. Then he was trash until doomsday where he was literally the most annoying class to play against. No shade but shade

Pirate Warrior is currently tier 1 in Wild. Aggro Pirate Warrior was tier 1 from MSOG up until the nerf of Fiery War Axe. That's one whole year. I don't think you can call Pirate Warrior bad deck and Heroic Strike bad card.
You have missed quite a few meta Warrior decks over the years:
- WoTOG was called Warriorstone because of decks like Nzoth Warrior, Cthun Warrior, Tempo dragon Warrior and Worgen OTK Warrior
- From MSOG till War Axe nerf, Warrior had Pirate Warrior.
- Warrior was then quite weak until RR nerfs, after which Odd Warrior was one of the best T2 decks.
- From RoS till the Uldum nerfs, Boom Control Warrior and Bomb Warrior was top tier.
- In DoD Warrior had Galakrond Warrior.
- Now Warrior has this Combo Enrage Archetype and Bomb Warrior.
So yes Warrior is not always the best class like Rogue or Druid but they are far far better than Priest, Shaman and Paladin.
It's rather a tempo/curve nerf than a functionality nerf:
DHs can no longer have a 2/2 Battlefiend at turn 1. DHs can no longer trigger Glaivebound Adept at turn 5 (unless they previously equipped a weapon). DHs can no longer deal 1 AoE damage twice with Altruis the Outcast at turn 4 (now they have to wait till turn 6). DHs can no longer summon an Illidari Satyr (through Satyr Overseer) at turn 3 (unless they previously equipped a weapon). DHs can no longer play a 4/2 Furious Felfin with Rush at turn 2.
It's a nerf to the early game and a buff to the late game. They lost quite a bit of their early snowballing power but the extra damage gives them more reach for finishing off opponents. In the end, this change won't matter as they will find a way to adapt to it pretty quickly. It may actually make things worse. If they discover a new way of creating an early game snowball then the "nerf" will become beneficial to them. The situation for standard seems completely hopeless, at this point. I have moved to wild already. Despite Odd Demon Hunter being strong (and probably benefiting the most from this change) i barely see any of them while climbing. Priest and Warlock are way more common which is fine by me. DH is probably more common at higher ranks but i just stop playing after reaching Diamond 5.

I've seen ONE Odd DH climbing to Diamond 5. But then at Diamond 5 I was instantly greeted by 2 in a row. Pretty much the same situation I had with Secret Mage and Odd Paladin. Wild is a weird place. You see a lot of lower tier decks during the majority of the climb, but then on Diamond 5 and higher it is a full tryhard just like on the Standard ladder.
It's a nerf to Tempo DH as it slows down its early game a lot, but a big buff to other archetypes that are starting to emerge (like the Magtheridon one). You are now almost guaranteed to get more copies of Twin Slice from Cobalt Spellkin and the 'nerfed' twin slice has insane synergy with the lifesteal weapon right now.
Alot of Demon Hunters just go face now, i've noticed a massive uptick in people just ignoring trading in and opting to go face with Demon hunter. Spamming Second Slice and Cobalt Spellkin
If you're lucky you'll get Twin Slice from the dragon and scoundrel and pull both your own Twin Slice from Skull of Gul'dan. At 10 mana with weapon already out you can do 27 damage to the face.
Have you not played against Pirate Warrior?

Wait... Are you suggesting you've never lost against Pirate Warrior?

N
Cobalt Spellkin x2
Vulpera Scoundrel x2
Twin Slice x2
And have a weapon out like Warglaives of Azzinoth

Just a theorycraft event.
Yeah it was actually a hug buff for warglaives.
