There is a reason the same players percolate to the top of tournament leaderboards, GM league, ladder finishes, etc. etc.
And I think this is the shittiest argument, people got rekt on packs when they picked ex-champions as their champion many times (actually always). What actually matters is how many players compete for that scene? 100? 200? What do expect to see, there are not many so you will see almost the same people every year. That's all.
It's not an argument, it's a single statement of fact.
You're just provably mistaken if you think there is somehow a lack of players trying to break into the professional levels of the game. As for individual tournament results by individual players, I can't bounce back and fourth between this and the other thread on the same topic, and I'll get in trouble if I repost. Go to the other thread if you want; I wrote a long explanation of the poker scene clearly illustrating the difference between one major tourney win each year and consistent career performance.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
Hearthstone could learn alot from the early days of the Pokemon TCG. Players got tired of the random coin flip mechanics to the point where they were quitting the game. So, in turn they eventually moved more and more away from random coin flip effects to make the game more fair and less luck dependant. And of course players embraced the change because it was healthy for the game and made the game better.
Hearthstone needs to do the same in order to make the player base happy. They have needed to move away from RNG for a while now but for some reason can't seem to understand that. This is why the game is dying. No one wants to constantly lose to bad luck or random effects over and over again. Players want skill to prevail and this game just doesn't showcase that enough.
Dear friend, I and most players don't enjoy RNG bullshit anymore. This has nothing to do with pro players or streamers. And I don't think lackeys or Puzzle Box help this game be more competitive.

Other than it's not a fact at all, it's pulling one example and claiming it as fact.
I agree a small % of skill will eventually outweigh RNG over 100s of games if not more. However, anyone can go on Youtube and look at Master tourney's where the better player lost to absolute insane RNG. I can think of one Russian in particular who is the GM King of RNG.
The problem is that while RNG is healthy in any card game what is the correct level? When does the game become so saturated with RNG its no longer fun and the strategy/skill matters so little. When GM streamer' are playing Mage casino to top 10 Legend. When 3 of the top tier decks in the meta are casino, when control is out because of infinite card creation/casino.
You have lost balance.
And just so I'm not speaking totally out my ass, I've been playing since beta, have consistently hit legend (have a top 10 finish even). And have won local qualifier tourney's.
And imho feel RNG is out of control. Ladder is the easiest it's ever been to climb and half the losses I sustain are being bitch-slapped by a Yogg box (probably my fault for not playing around or prepping for it right?). Lame arguments aside, when you're nearing the 50% of matches on ladder decided by RNG (not card draw or match making, pure unfettered RNG) RNG is a problem and its not even fun to win with, because it doesn't feel rewarding to win. If I wanted pure RNG, I'd play dice.
Jesus Christ, this internet argue-basic-definitions shit never ends. I didn't have an example. If I was using an example, I'd have said Hunterace or Kolento or some particular . . . well . . . example.
I stated the FACT that there is a relatively small number of players who occupy a highly disproportionate number of top finishes in major tournaments and other events. Why are we arguing that which can so easily be proven?

Yes players who have above average skill, whom play solely T1 decks and spend 8-10 hrs a day grinding. Dont kid yourself.
Also, alot are by invitation since Blizz wants to maintain a recognizable base. Haven't seen Fire at at too many tourneys lately... Purple? Players come ago every year. And the ones who are the same are often by invitation based on a previous years performance. I. The last 3 years there's hasn't been much consistency at all of top players. Every tournament there's half a dozen players I have no clue who they are, how could that be? RNG happens. At the lowest ranks and highest ranks. And when it's too much thins get inconsistent and unenjoyable for all.
