yeah I gotta agree. Would be bada$$ enough if it just hit minions.
Why do people keep mentioning this like it would be a nerf? It would actually make her more consistent at clearing minions and a buff in most scenarios...
When DH plays an early Priestess I'm usually PRAYING that she mostly hits face and leaves alone my 3/2s or whatever, so that I can either trade into her or remove her with a spell while keeping my board. Or when I force a DH to play a Priestess onto a board with something like a 4/4 or a 5/5, which are basically guaranteed to survive, that's usually a game I'm gonna win. If she targeted only minions, she'd clear those 100% and would be much stronger in those scenarios.
The only nerf that makes sense is making her effect one time only, but I think the real problem is the ability to cheat her out on turn 5. That's just unmanageable most of the times.

Because this way the card become a control tool vs aggro matchs but a lot less scary in other matchs.
Imagine a highlander agressive mage playing a Reno and giving a Pyroblast to opponent face.
If you playing control vs DH the opponent play this in turn 5 (discounted) and give 6 damage in your face you can't avoid, if you are not able to deal with then is more 12 damage in turn 6, hit only minions is a huge nerf in this matchs.
That said, a much better nerf is just restricted the card like Ragnaros, can't attack.
BTW, not broken enough though. Give this minion Rush, then I would classify this as the most broken card in HS history.
Still, far too powerful on turn 5 when discounted. If you don't have an answer in hand, then you lost that game for sure. As your board is mostly gone at that point.

Great analogy, imagine the opposite now, making her an infinitely better Reno that shoots 6 only at minions at the end of every turn and with no deck restriction required... while being a 6/7 instead of a 4/6. Basically insta-concede for every board-based non-control deck as soon as she hits the board
DH is so overpowered that any random who makes HUGE mistakes can get high - mid legend with it. I just played a guy who played satyr into imprisoned observer when it was due to go off that next turn. Therefore, he just wasted it and played it for no reason since it auto dies. But nope lose anyway since he 7 damage to my taunts (after kayn was dead since he coined it out and wasted it) killing them while getting 7 damage on his weapon to go face for a total of 14 face damage while killing my entire board. A stupid retard who plays satyr into a second turn imprisoned observer wins. That mistake should be so game ending that it should be auto concede but nope, not when you play DH. In DH you can waste cards and get high legend.
The card should either only work once (battlecry), or it should only activate at the START of your turn. Thus, giving your opponent one turn to try and remove it.
Okay, if priestess only hit minions, it would NOT be a buff... That's one of the silliest things I've ever heard... Right now, DH generally clears your board with other resources when they get her out, so you take 6 to the face. If you cant clear her, she does 6 attack damage to the face, and 6 more to the face.... Right now, if you need the turn after her for setup... You're finished. 18 guaranteed face damage...If she only hit minions, you have 2 turns to take care of her, only taking 12.
If you don't take care of her the turn she is played, and get some minions out, DH is usually going to kill those minions, so that her after turn affect goes all face... Same scenario with her only hitting minions, your minions get cleared, you don't take that 6 face damage and you get another turn to deal with her... At least this way DH has to work to get your minions down to 6 health through their turn to make her most effective.
Look through past cards... One's that always hit minions have lower mana value than ones that can hit face... There's a reason for that.

No it's not the same scenario, your initial assumption is completely faulty because DH can't ALWAYS clear your board on the same turn she's played. I'd be careful of calling "silly" other people opinions when you're completely overlooking some obvious facts yourself and only considering the best case scenario.
Again, DH right now can't always clear your board on the same turn she plays her. He can only do that with previous board presence OR a previously equipped Warglaives most of the times. So your minions don't always "get cleared anyway" like you're implying, not just by Priestess, if you were ahead and could somehow play around it by putting at least a 4+ health minion on the board, and that's a BIG deal. Also because 1) if he wants to clear the way for Priestess to go face and doesn't have a weapon, he'll at least need to trade some other minions and 2) in the Warglaives case, DH is often forced to take a crapload of face damage in the hope of closing the game with Priestess faster than you can, which is something that can actually backfire against other aggressive classes (especially Hunter).
If Priestess only hit minions, she'd be weaker in some scenarios sure but absolutely bonkers in others. She would basically be a lot better played from behind, a better Reno the Relicologist shooting 6 at minions at the end of every turn and with no deck restriction required. And she'd be WAY more difficult to clear because you won't be able to like trade your surviving minion(s) + a spell, you'd need way more often to remove her completely with cards from your hand.
Any deck that is based on having a board would die more slowly to face damage sure, but it would completely be cut out the game by what's essentially a constant barrage of infinite free board clears every turn, and could basically concede the moment she hits the board.
I personally want her to cost either 1 or 3 more mana, so long as she's taken away from odd dh; it's bad enough as it is but dropping two of those one turn after the other and dealing humongous amounts of face damage is just obnoxious.
That card might be the most broken card I've ever seen. That's all.
yeah I gotta agree. Would be bada$$ enough if it just hit minions. Altruis is better at 4 now, but I'd still like to see it do damage to everything.

If priestess was supposed to be vs aggro it would not be able to attack and only hit minions.
Not sure if Blizzard is still interested in fixing DH or if they're just on vacation after they cashed out from AoO.
I'm phoning my hitman right now to take care of the bitch

I hope they nerf it. It's the only card I've not dusted my extra copies... I've got ten or so. Would be sweet.

OMG... THE PROBLEM IS RAGING FELSCREAMER! NOT PRIESTESS!
The proper solution would be to make the effect "at the start of your turn"
hopefully that will destroy that shitty designed card
Yep. Keeping all my Golden ones...only 3. : (
"There is no spoon"
Slice, Twice, Thrice !!
Before you start nerfing Priestess, there are a boatload of busted Rogue cards to get rid of.
