Yea to me I agree about the card generators. It’s no particular deck but the RNG factor of any given game is nucking futs. The discover/generate dragon into Alexstrasza and zephyrs or even the RNG of drawing Leeroy with +4 stats or for 0 mana. Every class and every game it seems can not just swing tempo but full game ending swing regardless of any prior rounds
Game is literally unplayable for me for the first time ever any mode, arena, standard, brawl lol, WIld, battlegrounds everything is just pure garbage, sadly.
So if people started playing your decks, would you change just to be different? I make my own decks, and tweak them. After about 2-3 weeks into a meta, I run into lots of other people playing the same deck... Are they copying me? There will always inevitably be best ways to build a deck for each hero. Am I a "net decker" because my decks end up being used by lots of people? Should I just close my eyes and randomly select cards? That's basically what arena is for. In constructed ladder meta, people competatively use the "best decks", regardless if they tweak it themselves, or copy and paste it. Every expansion, the deck I end up using most often ends up on the list of tier 1 decks (with a few different cards inevitably), but I have never copied and pasted a deck for main use in ladder (I have copied and pasted decks to play, usually memes, for quests, or just for fun). People get so upset that people use top tier decks to play a competitive game. There's decks I hate. I've been guilty of it. Now, I roll my eyes, and grind my teeth a bit whenever I face a Res Priest or Face Hunter, but that's just part of the game. You will never be in a meta where every game is exceedingly fun AND you win alot. Competitive decks are for winning, Meme decks are for messing around and having fun.
I agree that Hearthstone should have a plan mode, where you can 'ban' certain cards, and it matches you with players that match your criteria. People will still complain about ladder, but that just seems to be human nature. I've had people add me, and call me a "netdecking *expletive*" even though I made that deck on my own.
The most apt analogy for this is always, would you grab a pool noodle, go play some hockey, and complain about those "store bought stick using *explatives*"? Over the last 102 years of NHL history, stick technology has drastically changed. You won't find a player using a wooden stick crying about other players using graphite. You use the best available options to tweak the game to give the edge to win. This applies to every game and sport in the history of games and sports. Why would people who want to win NOT use the best combination of cards proven to win the most. I happen to like building decks almost more than playing the game. Every week or two I delete all of my decks, and remake them. I guarantee that at least 2 or 3 of them are not more than 4 cards off of 'net decks'. Is this somehow "unsportsmanlike"? Should I just not assemble these decks because they could be percieved as "netdecks"?
All I'm suggesting is, don't just complain, offer a solution. I agree that the game would be MUCH more fun if you couldn't copy and paste decks, but it wouldn't really take long for someone to just copy the cards of their opponents. Almost daily, I see a card interaction that an opponent plays and say to myself, "oooh, I should add that!", and I often try it out... So, what's the answer? You cant play the same card combination as anyone else? There's only 273 cards each class can choose a 30 card deck from, and 99% of those random combinations would not create viable decks.
As I mentioned earlier, I think the only reasonable solution to this, would be a game mode where players can ban certain cards and/or classes. If Blizzard were smart, they would do a Brawlisium style mode. Constructed, cash or gold to enter, and players can ban a class.
fuck magnetic paladins, honestly full of lowcost cards that summon another mech when killed, and the 4/4 drop with rush early game is just unreal, cant keep up with clearing the board cause everything drops a mech and everything is magnetic, this deck will be nerfed soon but for now its canc erous
I love Galakrond Rogue. Fun to play, doesn't have the flaws that DR Rogue did, is not invincible and requires a brain to plan and play.
I lost the mirror this morning to a fellow Rogue that pulled a 6/6 Edwin on turn 2 (who runs Preparation these days?!?) but was basically running a Gala Rogue deck. Sucks to get highrolled, but the rolls tend to go your way most of the time as a GR.
Quest mage and Aggro mage are probably the least fun and interactive decks to play against. Against quest, it doesn't matter what you play, if you're control. They will just stall and then get extra turn and even a rat won't do much against them now that they're not using the fire ball version anymore. And aggro is just awfully unfun to play against. In general I have a good winrate against it with my control decks but it's one of those brainless aggro decks where the game is decided by how lucky or unlucky you get with your draws turn 1-3.
I'll give a special mention to aggro mech paladin as well, where if you're unlucky enough not to draw any silence or single target removal, you just lose. Not to mention they can get rid of a doomsayer on turn 2 or 3 with only a 1/2 on board
Big Priest is hot garbage but the only times I get upset at facing it is when I poly or frog or devolve a bunch of their stuff but their resses still perfectly hit their big stuff. If you want to stop facing big priests, just put 1 Zul'Drak Ritualist in your deck as a tech card. I put one in my singleton wild shaman and I haven't faced a big priest in like 2 or 3 days lmao. I even faced the original version of the original quest deck but not Big priest. Be ware though that the card is garbage pretty much every other game
Highlander Control Warrior. Yep, it's back. Just wait until it starts trickling down from Legend and people will beg to face Ress Priest over and over, specially since Ress Priest is actually easy to beat and only low ranks lose to it.
Galakrond Rogue. It just has everything. Has high tempo, bizarre value generation to go to fatigue and it's mostly a shitty RNG fiesta with all the lackey generation. And let's not forget Leeroy + Shadowstep (or double if you get him from Wand/Gala) to bail people out from zero board and near 20 health. Probably sucks more that is everything you face depending where you are on ladder, so it's either endless mirrors or the same matchups over and over.
Face Hunter. I guess it doesn't need any explanation at this point, but it's saving grace is that it actually keeps Rogue in some check as it usually steamrolls them. Buf if they think Ress Priest is bad just wait until Control Warrior starts replacing them.
If I’m playing a slower deck, its face hunter but mostly res priest IF they draw well OR any Rogue... but mainly my most hated deck is the RNG one that gets every counter they need to put me on tilt.
Face Hunter. If you don't draw your healing in time, you're dead by turn 5 or 6, because the damage doesn't even come from playing minions, so removal alone doesn't help.
Runner-up: Galakrond (Highlander) Rogue. The amount of card generation and playing cards for 0 mana is just broken. Yay, thx lackeys.
Complaining about rogue least rogue let’s u play hunter ur dead by 5
Quest Priest and Face Hunter, in this order.
2 things:
Mill decks and Resurrect/Deathrattle Priest (basically the same thing since they both use res effects)
Mill is dumb because it basically forces you to not play
Res/Deathrattle Priest because it's just a 40-minute game where you can't do much.
Link rank lol.
We'll wait and I'm sure it'll be forever.
100% Ress priest. Whenever i play agains it i feel like iam playing vs now extinct Big priest from Wild.
This.
Disliked playing against priest the priest class since i started playing. I even auto concede when I draw priest in casual. Not worth the irritation.
EDIT: I mean priest in any meta, not specifically this meta.
Any current Galakrond/lackey/highlander deck. What's the point of deck building if you just get your answers from other cards?
Greetings, traveler.
Let's make Hunter great.

Shame on you Heartpwn in these digital days!!
