When the expansion was announced, I was sooooooooo hyped. I love dragons, and seeing that every class was getting at least some of them, I imagined dragon decks being pretty much everywhere. Hoping to crush people with a 12/12 Deathwing or summon massive boards with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza, I waited for the expansion to finally launch.
My worries started after the final stream. I saw these obnoxiously powerful Pirate Warrior cards, Faceless Corruptor, the Shaman Galakrond... Dragons don't like aggro decks because they can't be played when you're dead by T7, I thought. Although my final conclusion was that there would be like Pirate Warrior and aggressive Galakrond Shaman builds and that was perfectly fine.
And I was so wrong. There are no dragon decks in the meta. Not really a single dragon deck. In Descent of Dragons.
But the top meta list is: Face Hunter (typical uninteractive aggro, it doesn't even play minions really), Galakrond Shaman (I'm not gonna talk about this one), Pirate Warrior (hard aggro), Highlander Hunter (wow, a more midrange-y build that sometimes even runs Dragons! But as a highlander deck, it is very expensive and you don't really face it that much), Zoo Warlock (aggro), Token Druid (aggressive midrange), Deathrattle Rogue (dying to multiple 10/10s with Charge on T6 is soooooo fun), Overload Shaman (aggro).
Highlander Mage is good against like Zoolock or Token Druid because these decks are minion-based and you just need AoE to keep them in check. Pirate Warrior and Face Hunter, however, are based on Charge minions/weapon damage/direct face damage and Mages just lack the needed healing to beat them.
The only thing really wrong and unbalanced is the warrior legendary weapon because remove the weakness of aggro decks, never run out of steam even if you survive the early agression.
Blizzard printed a bunch of crazy cards and no control tools. We're still expected to work old school spells, which when compared with hte stats on the new mininos, are waaaay overcosted - you have to highroll flamestrike from new malygos to get a 8dmg version of the spell that is actually playable...and even then, at 7 mana, you are thinking...if i clear here for 7 mana/8dmg and play virtually nothing, and this guy refloods the board, then what? Fucked aren't I?
They are now printing neutal 2/2s for 1 mana, yet we still have 30hp, still the same old systems and board management tools. You should require no further evidence than the revival of face hunter, and also pirate warrior. If face hunter is back on the menu, then you know that cheap powerful overly aggressive shit is out of hand in this game once again.
I also think most ppl play aggro decks because they are ALWAYS Cheaper. I mean look at the current Face hunter the T1 deck costs about 1600 dust if you have not a single card or the deck. Control decks are always way more expensive and many ppl dont have that much dust to craft like a Handlock or something.
I am not a fan of aggro decks at all i think face hunter is realy unhealty its just more braindead then every other aggro deck Pirate warrior yeah its good but dont think its overpowered Further you have zoolock but thats always in the meta But i think that you have good dragon deck ou there HS replays just proofed there is so the Topic opener aggument its just no true

Where are my Dragons? :(((
there are dragon decks viable
Higlander rogue plays dragons
Higlander Mage plays dragons
Handlock plays dragons
dragon priest Plays dragons
Quest druid plays dragons
Cheap aggro will always rule, time is money.
This os actually true. There are no above 50% winrate dragon deck right now in legend. I mean highlander rogue runs alex though...
Yeah, they are 'viable'... Getting crushed by the 25th aggro deck in a row and not even having a chance to play your dragons is not fun.
Dont know why you complaining. Aggro was nearly unplayable for a very long time now. Glad its back so i dont have to play 30 Minute Matches anymore.
whut you makin a joke right combo priest ,evolve shamaan, murlock shamaan, murlock palla it was meta always gggro is always crushing metas
then you are just bad because higlander mage counter aggros deck very well my friend
agains not true come with facts https://hsreplay.net/meta/ see at tier 2 deck please a lopt above 50% winrate even a higlander DRAGON palla

Greedy shit that gets hyped in pre-release almost always dies to aggro when the expansion releases. Nothing new happened.
LOL? When was it unplayable ? WTF are you talking about?

Anything else is ok.
Miss mistress of mixtures .

nice, looking for more decks with a winrate at slightly above 40% that gets destroyed by all the aggro stuff
... and Video Killed the Radio Star.
