The only thing that doesn't feel right in this meta is deck playing Zephrys the Great with duplicates but heavy draw. Zephrys is just that good that you can afford to include it even in a non-highlander deck.
I feel like it wasn't intended by the developers, and people abuse this mechanic when they have very few cards left. Quest Druid is starting to abuse it and it feel very unfair. Like you can have the benefits without having the downside because your deck want to draw card anyway.
Just change Zephrys to "If your deck start with no duplicates" and it should be fine. Call it a hotfix if you want.
Mage might not have a presence in standard, but Wild is overran with them right now.
Also, how did Rogue not get a "does this class even exist?" ... I can't remember the last time I saw a Rogue.... I mean, a serious Rogue, not the troll lackey/theif rogue ... ... Baku? maybe?
The craziest thing isn't hearthSTONE meta, but the HearthPWN meta RN:
" 75% of players are between ranks 25 and 15 17.5% of players are between ranks 15 and 10 5.5% of players are between ranks 10 and 5 2% of players are between ranks 5 and Legend 0.5% of players are at Legend "
Yet, literally everybody on this forum claims to be legend, despite click-bait deck titles called "Easy Legend" always making their way to the top of the decks list...

Lackey Rogue was like 30%+ of the ranked ladder before nerfs and you call it a troll deck ? sure dude.
There is a lot of variety in the meta, which makes it hard to plan for. The only one I really do not like is the combo Priest that utilizes Divine Spirit. I was facing a priest that had Northshire Cleric buffed to a 1/5 with Power Word: Shield from a previous turn. It was turn 5 and I was at 29 HP and had a taunt minion on the board. My opponent played two Divine Spirit on the Northshire Cleric after adding another 2 HP to its life total using Beaming Sidekick. This made the Northshire Cleric a 1/28 minion. They then used Silence on my taunt minion and then Topsy Turvy to make the Northshire Cleric a 28/1 and proceeded to kill me with their Northshire Cleric and other 1 attack minion they had on the board. It sucks to have such a huge swing like that on turn 5. I think it is about time that Divine Spirit gets moved to the HoF. I don't mind cards like Topsy Turvy or Inner Fire. It is Divine Spirit that makes those cards broken.
Dude, quest rogue is trash, u didn't even tought about Tempo Rogue/Deathrattle rogue . I reached legend with those 2 decks days ago, and they are really strong, even against their counterpart, Quest rogue. Next time do a better research, not only on HS replay.
Then in the class discussions, "This feels really unfair to play against" several times with several classes.
Which is it?
Thank you. I thought maybe i was the only one who noticed.
OP, get back to us when you've made up your mind, because right now you sound like just another salty Rogue player who refuses to branch out and try another class when the meta doesn't favor Rogue.

I think you're right, and this is coming from a guy who enjoys the rogue class more than any other. I've had to branch out and invest in hunter, paladin, and warrior cards in this meta, and it's been a healthy (though at times painful) growth for me as a player.

You couldn't be wronger. I play all classes, last season reached legend with highlander hunter, the previous one with duel paladin (not meta deck). Last time i gone for legend with rogue was in Rastakhan with recruit rogue (not meta deck). I have all 9 golden heroes and +1000 wins with 3 classes. Didn't played any single game with tempo rogue back in Rise of shadows when it was t1, so no, I dont cry if the meta does not favor rogue.
And yes, a meta could be balanced if stats says that, but all decks can have unfair plays too, or flipcoins/highroll plays. Combo priest does not feel fair, shaman sometimes neither. Just before nerfs mage felt like a sh*t to play against. Dr boom too.

If you do that, you can't counter it with shuffles. I think it would be even worse.

This is quite true.
Incoming “but players here are more serious than average thus it’s totally possible that a ton of people on this site are legend” comments. Doesn’t mean it’s true though. Just saying.

Dafuq, i'm on 2%? it can't be true...this forum has majority of legend and proplayers in the world. ain't u see all those sick answers from pro players of this site? Worse are the decks, guess lots of trash streamer has gone from this site like Kiwin bacon, jelenyo and other deck thieves.
This meta sucks like every other one, netdecking kills the game , gives people the illusion they are good at the game by playing a deck someone else thought up, hearthstone is a lot of rng and copying others always will be and will never change, just enjoy it as a game and dont stress about the 'meta'

This would only be true if higher tier decks were inherently easier to pilot than lower tier decks, which is simply not the case. A deck being good doesn't make it easy to use, similarly a deck being bad doesn't make it hard to use (Combo Priest is a good example of a powerful deck that is difficult to play optimally, evidenced by its high play rate and win rate in Legend, and low play rate and win rate below rank 5). So called "net-decking" is simply a refinement process by which a collective of players gradually weed out the sub-optimal card choices in their decks and replace them with more logical options. Refining and optimising decks is a playfield leveler that creates a competitive atmosphere, it is not some kind of evil that must be stopped. We have a finite pool of cards and have to select the 30 that work best, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that there aren't enough combinations for everyone to have original ideas that work well, so refinement and emulation of successful strategies is inevitable. Using simple logic, playing 30 cards that have some degree of synergy and can win games of Hearthstone makes more sense than gimping your progress by running sub-optimal cards for the sake of being "original."
I find this concept bizarre that a community refining card choices within decks and making their findings available to a wider base of players is somehow toxic to the game. What I find even more bizarre is this attitude some people have that what other people choose to play is any of their business. If someone wants to copy and paste a list off of Vicious Syndicate because it is backed by data, that's completely their call and no one else's business. Same if they want to make a minor adjustment to a proven deck to better fit meta the meta trends they are experiencing, or if they want to completely scratch build a relatively untested concept.

People who complain about netdecking don't understand CCGs. At all.
If you want a fresh experience every time and a format where your deckbuilding matters as much as your play, try Arena. That's literally the whole point of that game mode.

they need to nerf the shaman quest to like 8 battle cries. the deck is so dumb and like 6 of 10 games is against that brain dead sh##.
zephrys is easily the dumbest card ever printed. it's is so broken, it's put in murloc paladin for fugg sakes.
after all, the meta is boring after 2 weeks, like it is every other expansion. sad.
I play rogue lol I can tell u it’s still a class
