Long control fatigue games are great at times but I don't think it's a "healthy meta" if there's nothing but control decks and no viable aggro decks. And vice versa. A healthy meta in my opinion (plz don't get triggered) is when there are several different types of decks that have close to a 50-50 match up. *NOT different decks* bc you can have 6 different aggro decks- not a healthy meta. But different types of decks (aggro, midrange, zoo, secrets, control, etc.)
Don't think CW is the savior of ranked by any means though.

True. Actually in meta there are several aggro decks, and only 1 control deck. So, we need more control, right? I am following your arguments.
I watched a game on twitch earlier - warrior vs warrior. I was very tired, fell asleep after some time had passed, woke up well rested and was still able to watch the ending :D
Just going to list off the tier one decks off hsreplay to prove a point here:
Murloc Paladin - Aggro. Yes, it depletes its deck quickly and has some value cards like Sir Finley of the Sands. No, that doesn't somehow make it defensive. It's aggro. Any deck that can consistently win the game on turn 5 is aggro.
Control Warrior - Control. This shouldn't need explaining.
Highlander Hunter - Midrange/Tempo. Runs lots of cards that gain value and a few late game cards, so it's certainly not aggro. However, its curve is shifting towards the left, so it's not control. I would classify it as tempo, since it has great card synergies and doesn't do the best on curve.
Murloc Shaman - Aggro. Despite Underbelly Angler being a value card, this deck is certainly aggro. It looks to curve out fast and drop a Bloodlust to win the game.
Secret Hunter - Midrange. Despite accusations that this is somehow an aggresive deck, I have to disagree. It has only a single 1 drop and runs multiple value-generating late game cards like Unleash the Beast and Zul'jin.
Combo Priest - Tempo. Its curve is way too lopsided to be a midrange deck, but cards like Wild Pyromancer and Acolyte of Pain make me seriously doubt that anyone could justify calling it aggro.
Results:
Aggro - 2
Tempo - 1.5
Midrange - 2
Control - 1
Combo - 0
Attrition - 0
Tier two decks consist of primarily value-based control decks and very aggressive decks that flood that board.
Conclusion: The meta is very diverse. Control warrior is neither needed nor unwanted in this meta, but is notable in that it is the only tier one control deck. There are many aggro decks, but no face decks that run cards like Kobold Sandtrooper and Wolfrider. There are many control decks, but few/no combo decks with cards like Malygos or King Krush. The lack of these two archetypes is not a problem, as they are the most polarizing. Therefore, much of the complaint in the community is unfounded and misleading.
Boring doctor Bam is the only control deck that is viable. Control shaman is weak, and other classes only have aggro bs. The whole meta isn't healthy. It was fun until 2 days after the Uldum release, when the meta was 90% settled already..
I have absolutely no problem with control decks. I've played many across various metas. My problem with CW is, at the end of the day, it's just a boring deck to play and even more boring to play against.
I take control meta everyday over aggro & face..... If you can't have strategy thinking in your mind and just wanna rush mindlessly then maybe Hearthstone is not the game for you?
Go play Fortnite instead and rush the enemy over and over again.

This current version of control warrior proves that control does not automatically mean "strategy" or "thinking".
This is the most brainless deck out there at the moment.

You were fortunate that the game was delayed. Both of the players fell asleep. As well as the casters.
Surprisingly, "combo priest" is not a combo deck. The deck runs many cards that synergize with each other, such as Power Word: Shield and Divine Spirit, but it lacks the lategame power that a "combo" deck has. For example, compare it to the mecha'thun archetypes. Mecha'thun decks are combo decks. They fit under this definition because they have a few combo pieces that they absolutely need to win the game, and spend the rest of the time in the game stalling the board and drawing cards. "Combo Priest" clearly doesn't do that. Its main win condition is not an OTK, and it spends its time playing minions with the intent of out-tempoing the opponent. It has synergistic cards, but that doesn't make it a combo deck. That makes it a tempo deck instead of an aggro deck.
guys that say we need more control decks should understand that CW is the deck that kills other controls decks since it can keep up or even outvalue while being better against aggro decks, strong aggro decks dont make it so theres is only 1 control deck, a control deck that is at the same time the ultmate anti aggro and value generator decks does.
The Boom nerf seemed fine for me as did the galaxy nerf, you really should not want to keep a 5 or 7 mana card in your hand in most matchups
i was playing a non cw deck then 10 games in a row i've found Murloc paladins and aggro rogues.
I thank god that control warrior exists. Imagine without it what a clown fiesta in standard.
There are plenty of control decks that can keep aggro in check without resorting to the lazy dumpster-fire that is Dr. Boom.

Where are the combos?
I like the cheese and cracker combos the most. The pretzel pizza one is pretty good too though.

Control is healthy for the meta.
Control warrior as it exists now is not.
You can also ad Highlander Mage as a controlish T1 deck for now untill the nerfs.

I'm OK with what Control Warrior does... but Blizzard needs to find a way for Warrior to have it's cake while not taking so damn long to eat it!
