That's exactly why the should nerf warrior. A faster meta would be more enjoyable. At least I will be able to play 1-2 games in the subway which I can't right now with the current speed of the game
Hearthstone was hell from 2014 to 2018 because it was an aggro face race fiesta, should aggro exist? yes, should it be uncounterable?, no fucking hell; and the reason for this is that removal from basic and classic Suuuuucks, specially AoE, so if CW gets nerfed we're back to face race fiesta and noooooo thanks, Aggro should have counters as any other deck and CW is the only counter we have left to stop aggro.
The problem with CW isn't that it counters aggro, that it's what it is supposed to do in the first place, the problem is its matchup with heavier decks that aren't conjurer mage, if you made a 9 or 10 mana card that melted armor (like reverting the nerf to Alexstrasza) then control and mid-range decks that are pushed out of the game because of that one deck would get a new breather of life, ie you give handlock access to an Alexstrasza that melts armor and suddenly you get handlock back in the meta by having a fighting chance against CW.
No they shouldn't. I play alot of control warrior, armagedillo was my first craft with dust when the new expac came out. Been playing this deck on and off since day 1 of SoU. I also am a wild player, currently rank 10 wild, rank 11 standard. I've also been playing since early 2015, always been a control player ever since being introduced to hand lock all those years ago.
Now, heres what I think about nerfing warrior. I think right now, warrior is in a good place, warrior is a control class and it should stay that way (cough pirate warrior cough). When I first made the deck, my very first game, I kept raving about that new reborn rush card!!! I couldnt get over how good it is especially with town criers on turn 1. Wow, I love that card! It's so good, but maybe a little too good. Dr Boom Hero card maybe could use some tweaking also but other than that, the rush reborn is the issue. 4 mana deal 6 damage to minions.. yea.. op. I played maybe 20 games so far with the deck, and I had my fair share of losses. But, It doesnt warrant a nerf to the class. The deck is mainly a time waster. If your going to win with this deck it's going to be after turn 20, at that pace it will take all month just to get to rank 1 lol.
Warrior should not be nerfed because this is what warriors do. They are control and in my eyes will always be. Maybe, I can see a small nerf to the rush reborn minion, but other than that they are in a good place.
If all hope is lost and you cant beat warrior, just play pally, it's an even matchup. If not, play warrior haha.

I think you're missing the point. We're not saying "nerf CW because warrior shouldn't be control", we're saying "nerf CW because CW is too strong and is warping the meta in a terrible way IMO". The following aren't good arguments against nerfs, either:
- "It takes a long time to win with CW." This has no bearing on the power level of the deck. In fact, at least OP aggro decks would kill you quick and you can move on to play someone else.
- Restless Mummy is completely new, and while good, is probably the only good warrior card I'm strongly opposed to nerf. Literally, consider any other strong warrior card. You say "4 mana deal 6 is powerful"? How about 4 mana and something inbetween 14 damage and/or a 4/5 body? Also, if rush is a problem in CW, it's Dr.Boom rushing all the mechs in, not this poor guy...
- The deck is not mainly a time waster. The deck is far and above the strongest deck in Hearthstone right now, and it loses to just a handful of viable decks on ladder. It needs a nerf, and it needs one soon, if only so that more new SoU-decks can flourish.
ResidentSleeper Warrior does deserve nerfs but only to the cards that truly deserve it.
Devastator and Mad Genius are a bit out of line. Devastator should cost 5 like Warlock's Agent, and Mad Genius should only give the first mechs summoned in a turn rush, not literally every single mech they pull out of their ass.
Just HoF Dr.Boom. Control warrior will still be very viable, especially with the taunt package. Every game, as soon as Dr. Boom is played, might as well quit. 6 different hero powers that are far more powerful than a card costed the same as the HP is crazy. Not to mention the rush mechanics. Blizzard tried again with the hero cards, but the power levels are just too much to balance. HoF hero cards and don’t make any new ones... or give the other six classes hero cards that are stupid powerful too.
This is my personal favorite fix, because Mad Genius is just. too. strong. Even after this nerf I think CW would still be advantaged against board based decks. Or they could just increase mana cost of Mad Genius, but Blizzard seems more obsessed with the aesthetics of 7/7/7 than with balanced gameplay. The original post is right, though, that changing only Warrior would not make balanced gameplay.
I don’t actually care if control warrior is the best deck, I just think is shitty design by the devs to have the same exact mech control warrior from over a year ago still on top cause that means they missed an opportunity to counter balance or bring up the power level of another warrior deck 3 times.
Well, they SHOULDN'T have needed to, they should have been able to design Saviors of Uldum to contain tools to combat the number one deck from the previous meta.
Since they DIDN'T do that, unfortunately another 4 months of this is not going to work.

I was just laughing reading this post because control warrior is an awesome deck that needs to be in the game and then i just played against two straight control warriors and yeah it needs some changes. Probably just needs some mana cost changes to certain cards like brawl and plague and maybe make Dr. Boom 9 mana so they cant use hero power until turn 10, not sure if that's even that big of a deal. I don't want to see Dr. Booms hero powers change because it's very unique.
edit: to the scum who play control warrior at the onset of a new expansion where finding new combos and synergies is very fun and you play the most boring deck in the game i say you must have very sad lives.
Control Warrior definitely needs nerfed. So does Mage Conjurer's Calling. They have too many tools to deal with aggro and its ruining the game. Climbing with an aggro deck for me has been near impossible the last couple days of the expansion. These control decks just laugh at me and its almost always an auto loss that I wish i wouldve conceded earlier to save time.
Control being too strong is not good for the game. This whole rock/paper/scissors meta they've tried to create is preeeeeetty bad.
If you don't think Control Warrior needs nerf, I'd like you to remember how the meta was one year ago. They did the very same with Cubelock, after the rotation, they even gave them tools like Lord Godfrey.
And then they waited until the "meta settle" which was dominated by Cubelock for 3 months already. After more than one month of The Witchwood release they've managed to nerf it finally, together with Twilight Summoner and Call to Arms.
This expansion gave so much power to token and aggro decks again, it is pathetic that people are begging for Warrior to get nerfed when it is one of the, if not the only pure control decks still left. Warrior has way too much removal, that is true but it has almost no win condition other than outlasting you in fatigue.
The only reason why Control Warrior as we know it has no other win conditions is because players have opted to not include them. There's no reason why they couldn't run the bomb package, or Mecha'thun, or Frothing Berserkers, or even Nomi, but there's no incentive when they can just run even more control cards instead to guarantee stabilization and win the long game. Everybody gets exactly 30 cards, and the popular Control Warrior builds devote 27 of them to control and only 3 (Armagedillo, Dr Boom, and Archivist Elysiana) towards even the semblance of actually defeating their opponent.

Hall of fame Brawl... have had to "play around brawl" for too long.
nerf control warrior? no way in hell.

Remove mechs have rush from Dr. Boom, Mad Genius and remove mech tag from Omega Devastator

We need priest to control control warrior
They should nerf this crap, playing against deck full of removal is not fun. I would prefer playing against aggro instead.

Warrior is not the only Control deck keeping aggro in check.
It's just the stupidest.

I am 3-1 with tempo rogue against the cancer known as control warrior. Also 4-0 vs cancer CC mage.
Congratulations. Let's alert Blizzard to these eight games you played so that they know everything is OK.
