Currently at rank 5, every other deck seems to be mech hunter, it's getting rather boring now.
I'm not complaining because i'm losing, don't get this confused with a rage rant, i am playing control shaman, which has countless anti mech/magnetic counters.
Anyone else noticed the abundance of mech hunters at rank 5 or is it just my matchups?
I am currently slacking in r15 - r10 bracket and I may confirm 90%! of the games are against hunters (mech and midrange). Couple of warriors here and there, occasional murloc shaman or token druid. I no longer care about ladder ranks because it is painful not only playing against the same decks all over again but also playing them! That is why I pick T3-5 decks and lose ranks like crazy ha ha - its still 90% hunters but at least I can play something else.
Well, what do you expect? Mech Hunter is by far the most popular deck out there, especially when you're on the climb to rank 5. It's easy to pilot, can often afford to go face only, destroys the various Bomb Warriors regularly and has almost no bad match-ups except for Shaman. Only a fool would expect Rexxar to take a step back the next few months unless another round of nerfs is announced.
I just hate the whole manacheatingmechanic. Heureka or recruit your party are fair. But stuff like mechwarper, voidcaller and last but for fukesake definitely not least barnes. I hate these cards so much it makes me rage every single time... yes there should be cards that steamroll out of control but there should still be a limit to it. Take for instance scavanging hyena or frothling bezerker. Great but fair as you play it and they are dangerous when left alone but voidcaller, barnes just prevent you from playing stuff because then they get bigger stuff but if you wait to long you get fucked anyway. I mean that there is a possibility to win as a bigpriestplayer against piratewarrior witch yes is cancer too but one of the most explosive aggro ever is just a fuckin' joke really. Just really hate te cheatingmechanic - everything else is fine...
Mech hunters are easy to farm as they play linear strategy and you can predict what they are going to do. The only thing that can get you out of nowhere is Leeroy, other wise you see the dmg coming and can prepare for it. Flark is nasty for sure. Obviously sometimes they draw perfectly and you draw all your crap. But I had very good matchups against them even BM them with full health sometimes.
I reached rank 5 easily farming them and mages (control warrior was the problem) playing shark rogue, bouncing my lifedrinkers and double healing from them with the Spirit active. Vendetta and Walk the planks are huge tempo swings. If you feel like it you can tech EMP but Sap is just the same for me.
I think the next meta with new xpac desperatly needs priest to be involved in some way, as the game is crying for their board clears like Psychic Scream and silence/Mass Dispel, stalling and running the opponent out of resources, as everyone like Hunter/Mages and Even paladins are being too greedy

It's cheap, easy, and fast. Those are the perfect decks for the R5-Legend grind.
It is a bit boring to see mech hunter after mech hunter, but I run a more combo-based mech hunter (no goblin bombs, Mechanical Welps instead!) that eats mech hunter when it doesn't botch the mulligan. It farms warriors, but mech hunter has to be smart and draw the nuts to beat it.
hopefully enough counters to mech hunter get played to keep it from being 30% of the meta (it's already over 25%, I believe)

Rage quitting: the best way to ensure your opponent knows they beat a giant baby.
The deck is not a problem, it is not broken and insanely OP but see 2 in each 3 or 4 matchs is boring.
Next expansion shoud release a tech like 2 manas 2/3, silence and destroy all enemies mechs, just to keep this deck in check and cut the frequency.
I think the craziest thing is hitting 2 in every 3-4 matches when Blizzard just tweaked ladder to cut down on repeat class matchups. There are so many bomb hunters that they're subverting the new ladder mechanics. I've faced as many as 4 in a row recently, and not with any great gap in time between ending and starting matches.
I think a minion that hard targets mechs like that would be way too easy to auto include. I think something like an ongoing active effect ("No minions can use magnetic," for example) would be a better solution. Like you said, the deck isn't a problem, but without a better counter than "stay ahead of a board flooding nightmare that punishes you for not clearing their mechs every turn" bomb hunter will likely continue its reign well into July if not all the way to the new expansion in August.

It's a reaction to all the Warriors we saw previously, and it's probably always going to be this way until Team 5 stops making Warrior so blatantly OP.

OTK players suck.

2 x Earth Shock and 2 x Hex and the 1000/1000 mech is GG, while his hand is zero at that time. You should be grateful you farm them easy.

Killing them easily with mechatun mage :D
Glad to see everyone is seeing the same, i think i'll stick to Hexing all the mechs with my Control Shaman for the foreseeable then! :D

@gg1989 I am very grateful! Plus out-controlling the occasional Control Warrior gives me immense pleasure.

@uraganas mechatun mage, da fuck ? it is even a standard deck ? all mages decks has bad winrate against mec hunter at least in standard

Odd, they usually Hunt Alone.

40% Hunter, 40% Mage and 20% others at rank 5 for me. Try some meme deck at rank 5 but i guess i shouldn't have done that :(
I am facing like 75% of all ranked games against Warriors in Legend...
Dranzerr#2178
Very diverse indeed.
4 class meta
Mostly hunter and warriors. Both are to stupidly OP and require no more than 2 braincells to play.
