I don't really make threads unless I feel frustrated about the game and I'd like to share what I feel. The game is really boring now. It's been like this for the past 3 seasons. It gets worse and worse every season. I don't like any of the decks we have now and it seems that this meta now is for midrange archetypes. Although, there are some cards that can create other archetypes like control or combo decks like Malygos or Hakkar, but will they ever work?
So what’s missing from the meta in your opinion? You listed that there are lots of midrange decks, and two potential combo decks (both of which see some play). Then you’ve got Control Warrior and Control Shama.
Are you looking for more of an aggrieved dominant meta?
If you don't like any decks available, seems easy to see you should find another game. Pure and simple, for your sake to avoid something obviously not making you happy. This forum won't make you feel better.

If you thought you knew what you think I know, then you'd know I knew you knew I know.
It was much fun for me a year ago when there were more powerful cards such as Raza and the game was more diverse you get to see aggro, midrange, control, and combo decks, but now mostly I see midrange decks and one control warrior deck
I just made this forum to collect more information, maybe rumors about future projects/decks, idk. But I really don't like the way the direction of the meta has been going to recently for at least 2 seasons, the one way midrange meta
The worst meta I experienced was during Ungoro probably, due to quest Rogue, secret tempo mage, pirate warrior and other craps.
What I did was switching to arena until KFT came out. If you don't like arena, you could try wild. If that is not an option too, new adventure will come soon.
So you think modern is better then standard hearthstone. Hahahha you must like dealing with thing in the ice and phoneixes on turn 2. Or do you like losing to tron, with a timely karn on 3. Maybe primetime was your flavor, or do you enjoy your opponent milling their deck and putting 12 power on turn 1. Hearthstone is the game you wanna play modern would eat a player like you alive. And good luck buying fetches, and snaps. Need at least 1000$ to even get started there

Since he specifically mentioned Raza, it seems pretty obvious that he likes to play in a meta with strong decks. So I guess his answer would be that he is okay with the mentioned mechanics but would rather win with them than seeing his opponents pull them off...
@OP: You could try wild. There are some overpowered decks you might find funny to play (and to meet). Maybe not Raza, but Reno warlock or mage (don't know how good that is). BIG Priest is allegedly strong. I guess Odd Paladin as well. Or maybe still Jade Druid (which was also strong during Raza's time...

Omg, that wasn't meant as an attack, don't get your knickers in a twist. I assumed that you like strong cards because Raza was the OP deck at its time. And i generally think it is just natural that people like winning more than losing. And the post I quoted just mentioned you getting obliterated by strong combos. But I I withdraw my response and replace it with "of course he would love to get pounded by these decks". Better?
problem is they are making too strong cards because they are desperate to "wow" the one playing all for the sake of money but forgetting about the quality of the game overall. If Blizzard would actually try to balance around the wild format and not the standart this would never happen, unfortunately they dont have the insight on how to go about balancing a cardgame.

Wild is the Eternal format, like it or not, in every card game it is the garbage bin of the game.
This thread is not useful. And the original poster keeps acting surprised and offended when anyone makes reasonable inferences based on what he has said. Move along folks, nothing useful here.

Or is it something specific to the sets?

Yeah I'm actually thinking to go back to MTG modern format. I haven't played it for 2 years.

dude, just take a break or quit this boring af game. haven't been playing for 2 weeks now and i'm just fine

I do like this meta so far tho.

Like me? why you talk like you know the universe
You complaining about hearthstone standard. That's how I know. Plus what would you even play in modern

The game is shit. HS will never be balanced.
