Why do people vote no? (I am just curious, is it because you already bought it and finished it, and don't want any new players?
Because if all of the olds contents become free, I'll ask for a full refund. Hundred of euros. And I won't be the only one. This is nonsense.
Why? You wouldn't be losing anything.
No, but I would have PAID for something that is now FREE. I'm mainly a Wild player, so yes, I'm paying to have the best cards/decks.
And you would still have those. Indeed, unless you've managed to build the entire wild catalogue, you would have even more cards... for free. Which seems like a good thing imo.
It is funny how concept of working, investing your time, to earn money to buy something just flies over the heads of the poor and jobless.
Yes, why not have us invest our time and money not just to keep the game f2p for the rest of you but also make that same spending seems pointless by giving what we worked for for free.
I like the idea, and I can understand those people who paid for all those cards, adventures etc, but it's just simply ignorant and stupid to not want your money be "lost" because it now becomes free.
The same happens nearly everyday in other sections. Even blizzard did it. Do you think, I should go to a lawyer and let Blizzard know, I want' my money back for the expansions of all previous WoW addons? They are all free for now, but I paid for them! So what? I enjoyed playing them at the time they were the current content, and now I can still enjoy them with twinks and visit old locations/raids.
Sure, in HS there is the wild format, but making any cards become free won't break the meta. It's more custom oriented and it provides an easy entry. (HS is going on a rampage against customer and new player with its 3 expansions+adventures per year!) I don't say, you should get all the cards, but the argument "I have already paid for them, you didn't, is not working in todays world.

We would lose our investment. We bought a product which later had its value strippen away and was handed out for free. Imagine buying 100 packs today and tmrw finding out that all of the cards were given out for free. Nice way of losing money, isn't it?
Sugar, you don't have an investment. You have pieces of a digital toy. The cards have no value. I've purchased over 100 packs of ROS cards, and if tomorrow the entire series was made free... I'd be thrilled, because I would only have gained more pieces for the toy I like to play with.
I haven't voted but I want to ask the OP a question. Let's say that 1st of August, all classic cards become free and are added to each and everyone's card collection. Cool, who would deny it. But this comes without a notice. So, I, go in 31st of July and buy 40packs to obtain cards that I am missing. Will you refund me? Will Blizzard give me back my 50 euros? This is not gonna happen, ever.
So instead of putting UNREALISTIC situations in poll, let's discuss about the dust refund from the cards. If the value of dusting a card, becomes half of the value to craft it(right now it's about 20-25% depending on card rarity) and if the golden cards were giving away double the amount of dust(at least from common to epic) , then this would allow people to disenchant/recycle between cards far more easily

Ah, the joys of the poor.
Investment, as in investing money to purchase something.
Let's see. Blizzard is doing a similiar thing with WoW were you can get most "old" expansions within the starter pack for a couple of bucks. Maybe it is not the time yet but I would not be suprised to see something alike in the future of HS.
that's different though because firstly most old expansions are obsolete content, it doesnt matter if you get it because a lvl 60 epic is worse than a level 65 green so you dont have to do content and actually get nothing for doing it and dont really miss anything if you dont do it, secondly because of reasons stated above, pre-level 100 content is ignored by the majority of the playerbase thus has been watered down so that players can solo it, it isnt the same experience that was sold as the expansion, while many of the old cards in the classic set still hold value and are playable, if it wasn't the case then this suggestion wouldnt even be made, thus the guys that spent hundreds of bucks in classic would effectively have been cheated, i went as far away from a business centered major as i could and even i know that pissing of your whales is a really bad move because you can lose the guys that essentially keep your game afloat.

Well if you want to say something, get your terminology right. Investment implies the option of reselling at a future date with value creation. This is not true here. Somebody with money should appreciate the difference.

The term investment anticipates future value. It's called a return. Land is an investment because it appreciates. Hearthstone cards have no value, because they cannot be resold or traded. All that you can do with them is turn them back into the company that sold them to you at a severely reduced value. I should correct, you can technically "invest" in them, but to do so is patently silly. You will never see an ROI.
Also, unless you're a Koch or a DeVoss, your performative classism is super weird.

Talking about unrealistic situations: Yes, i think announcing something like this and implementing it within a day is unrealistic. On the other hand I think that an announcement today for changes after the next rotation in 2020 could be a realistic scenario.

People here keep saying that those who already have all cards are not losing anything. Are they right? Probably. Is this topic unfair for those who put time and effort to get the cards? Yes. Is this topic extremely unfair for people who buy packs with money? Yes! If not for people who fund this game with their purchases, Hearthstone wouldn't even exist.
Building up your collection and using every resourse at your disposal to stay competitive or simply have fun is a major aspect of this game which makes it so appealing. The best thing Blizzard could do about the economy of Hearthstone is increasing the disenchantment value for cards
I think this would be a great idea for new accounts. They would have a huge amount of decent resources to experiment and learn, and would be able to focus on grinding/buying the other expansions. A great way of getting new players.
I'd be both pissed and grateful. Pissed because I've invested plenty of time and money into the game since Beta, grateful because no matter how many Classic Packs I buy with money or gold I can't seem to get the final 9 cards I need for the complete collection.
Let's see. Blizzard is doing a similiar thing with WoW were you can get most "old" expansions within the starter pack for a couple of bucks. Maybe it is not the time yet but I would not be suprised to see something alike in the future of HS.
Because old WoW content isnt played at all. If you level, you just need to pass the content (leveling content, nothing else). But since you now always get a free level up anyways, you dont need it at all. You cant compare it to HS.

Asking for votes - not the wanted result - turns against voters. David Cameron hearthstone player confirmed.

So you're basically saying that you can afford to spent hundreds of euros in digital cards, but can't stop being an asshole.

I have everything from classic set. If I will get refunds, I'm ok with the idea then.
the real solution would be to increase te size of classic packs, something like 10-15 cards per classic pack
