Play a strong aggro deck, like Mech Hunter, and just outpace them.
or play control warrior.
I've been playing some control shaman recently and it beats all the aggro. mine is a bit more aggressive in turn than the norm though, so it's very good at out valuing the aggressive stuff in the early game and just completely kill their tempo. It works Vs. mech paladin as well.
I know control warrior is technically the better control deck, but I find control shaman more fun.
@OP with token druid the main thing is to just not let them achieve a wide board state. if you can keep them down at one or 2 minions, then their deathrattle buff is not as good.
The carpet zoo decks are also very good at beating token druid. I've not played enough carpet zoo to really have a finger on why exactly this is, but token druid sucks against this deck (it's why carpets has had a 65% winrate for over a week now, it can farm token druid very well)
I was playing token druid on day one so I learned how to beat it that way.

I agree. I've also played some controlshammy - and it's very fun!

My brother and I both got legend - and he climbed to 316 with it. Check out our guide!
Yeah, I probably should have stated it differently. Not so much knowing how to play control versus aggro, but having the deck built to face aggro. These were more like midrange control Warrior decks. Get on the board early, and fight for the board. If things get out of hand use Warpath, Dyn-o-Matic, or Brawl to get control back. Probably does not have all the greedy late game cards to face other control decks, but does good against aggro.
this is exactly how my first iteration of control shaman was. I have added a fatigue package now just because it looks awesome, but my deck is still very aggressive for a control deck. it has a great mid elemental/overload package for just completely shutting down aggressive decks (when combined with the removal) only thing is I don't have the haunting visions and frog totem that a lot of people use to draw into their spells. I am running a more minion heavy version with thunderheads and stuff which is awesome for aggro decks.
just 1 copy of witches brew for healing. You often get access to a lot of spells with hagatha anyway I find as well in those games where you will need them.
It's definitely a great meta right now with all the different ways decks can be built. I think the removal off the death knights and the odd and even, as well as the abundance of AoE was a good thing. It's allowed for some of the other archetypes to shine, and new ones to form.

yeah dude. it's amazing like how all the most recent shaman legendaries are valid in some way right now. also ala'kir is seeing play in big decks with muck morpher and stuff.
but even stuff like kragwa, zentimo and elektra all work a long with the hagatha's, too. I don't think I've known a class be able to use so many of their class legndaries in a single deck before, and it turn out not only bonkers, but quite strong as well.
i win against the token druids regulary with my control shaman ;-). Yes they are scary and i also thought OMG but control works. Though you need top one´s not some fun testing decks ...
As somebody who has played Druid for a long time, I will tell you how to beat token druid in the current meta. Play Warrior with Dr. Boom - in matchups vs Warrior, I can only win if they don't get Dr. Boom in play. Infinite value, every mech has rush... easy to clear the token board over and over at little cost. Alternately, the current Rogue waggle-pick decks are faster than token druid.

Shaman has a lot of removal. But Token has infinite reload so you really have to draw perfectly.
Zoo is not a hard matchup for Shaman.
