Mad Genius is indeed not as strong as the Death Knights, obviously, but we no longer have those, meaning without competition he still beats everyone else who doesn't have a hero card because that's just how good hero cards are and the fact that one of his hero powers allows him to gather ressources indefinitely doesn't help
I brought this up before the rotation, and everyone was all, "nah."
So good luck on your journey. Even the oppressive days of Justicar Trueheart couldn't convince people there was a problem with Warrior, so I don't know what it's actually going to take.
I mean...I don't really have to convince people...I just have to be proven right when Blizzard takes action, which they are way more willing to do nowadays.
At the end of the day, this really is a good thing to happen because it finally highlights some obvious problems that jsut flew under the radar before
OP, a lot of things are broken in this expansion, and Hearthstone has many complex problems which can't be solved with a nerf or two. You can go ahead and name as many as you want, in the end, it's Blizzard who descides what gets nerfed and what doesn't for whatever reason they want. So, my advice to you is: don't bother. It's really not worth the time and energy to debate about how broken and unfair deck X is yada yada, and deep down, I'm sure you know it.
Blizzard is not doing anything wrong, they are just doing business, that's all. And they make decisions based on how profitable that decision is. All the past nerfs didn't happen because players were right about certain cards. Oh no, they happened because of money reasons. Let's take Undertaker for example. Do you think that card would have been nerfed if people kept buying future expansions with real money but continued to play Undertaker Hunter? I assure you, it wouldn't.
So, be a dear, and put a stop to this thread, right here, right now, in front of all these wonderful wonderful people who, I'm more than 100% sure, always wanted to see a wise person. And I think it would be a shame not to show them you're the one.
what even is this comment?
"Blizzard makes the money, therefore nothing will ever change and we need to just accept everything an shouuldn't even bother"
To be honest.. New expansion is out for how many days ? 3 ? And you made an article where you are crying for nerfs ? Only because u do not know how to play against it and how to counter it, it doesnt matter it should be nerfed. There is a ton of new archetypes with new cards and synergies which just has not been revealed yet. Even now, 3 days after expansion went life there are minimal 3 veery simple waays how to counter all kind of warriors including the ones with bombs. Evertyhing you need to do is just think about it. Just think and make some changes in your own deck and dont just copy net decks created by pro players... Or just try to play that decks which you are struggling against to get to know its weaknesses and mulligan and according to that make some changes in your own deck.

Nerfs happen about two weeks into every expansion. This is totally the time to talk about nerfs.
All new players, and I assume most people here are new because of the constant whining about cards being over powered.
Its like people have never played this game before, hopefully blizzard doesn’t listen to the new gen snowflakes.
all this talk about “omfg I can’t wait for cancer to rotate out meta will be so fresh fuck wild”
and look at where all of you fucking hypocrites are, sitting here complaining about a meta that’s less than a week old. Nobody even try’s to counter anything anymore unless someone else made it easy to copy pasta the soulution.
this is pathetic, the entire community that facilitates and encourages this idiotic behavior.
Just sent Dr. Boom, Mad Genius to wild and everyone will see that warrior will pass from this temporary "tier 1" to "tier 3-4".
I can say this because i tried to remove that card from the deck and played 4-5 games, i manage to win only one of these thanks to an insane opening hand, all the rest you will just run out of steam, and without that hero card your chance of winning a long match will become too much low.

Much more eloquent than I put it - it puts any other control deck to shame. Which is ridiculous considering how good control shaman is right now. Where MtG has "dies to bolt" Hearthstone has "loses to warrior," and it leaves us with very few options lol. Right now from rank 5-1 you're fighting Control/Bomb Warrior and Token Druid. And that's about it, because they're directly competing - token druid seems like the only thing that can kill them fast enough.
I am playing deck X. My Deck with that exact 30 cards must beat every other deck.
If you cant beat deck Y stop crying and change your deck or adapt it instead of playing a netdeck that might not fit in the current "meta".
In other words:
Get gut!
That isn't what's happening here. I'm one of the first people to call out that behavior when I see, and this isn't it.
The complaints about Warrior are being brought both by people who play as Warrior and by those who play against it. I do both, and it's really obvious to me that the infinite value of Dr. Boom is unfair, even when I'm the one gaining the benefit.

"Why, you never expected justice from a company, did you? They have neither a soul to lose nor a body to kick." -- Lady Saba Holland
"They have Execute and Shield Slam which are the two most efficent single target removals after Naturalize, a card they had to take away from Druid to enforce their weakpoints"
Probably the only reason Naturalize got taken away was because it excels more than just destroying minions, the fact that it can kill of your own minions/overdraw your opponent is what got it moved to HoF.
And Bomb Warrior won't be a problem (yes it will arguably be Tier 1, but it isn't as overpowered as Odd Paladin ever was and Dr. Boom Mad Genius doesn't come remotely close to what Rexxar ever was.
Considering I have way too much time on my hands and I like to actively fight whining crybabies, I actually read what you said and oh boy, was it fun.
Oh noes, Warrior is tier 1 for the first time in ages! Oh noes, how dare Blizzard do that!
It won't matter if you counter the bombs with Archivist Elysiana or Arch-Villain Rafaam, an army of infinite Mechs will just run you out of ressources to the point where you wish for Deathstalker Rexxar to come back
Wrong. Elysiana is extremely effective when you are not running Elysiana yourself. Arch-Villain Rafaam does, in fact, counter the everliving shit out of Bomb Warrior - not only because he transforms the bombs into minions, but also because these minions are mostly powerful, as they are legendaries. "An army of infinite mechs", as you put it, is bullshit. Delivery Drone is one of the FIVE available hero powers, which gives you a 20% chance to draw a SINGLE mech that might or might not help you.
Amongst all classes in the game, Warrior is arguably the best at removal.
Shocking! One class is good at something while another one is good at something else! Tell me, is Warrior good at direct burst damage? Or flooding the board with minions and buffing them? No? Well, point made.
any time Control Warrior has even a remotely viable win condition it completely dominates any deck that isn't
a) able to kill them quickly and without mercy
or
b) outvalue them in the long run
Wrong. Control Warrior has had a viable win condition in Grommash Hellscream for the past five years and hasn't seen much play for a long ass time. Why? Because this card alone can't win him the game, he needs cards that support it to actually win games against aggro bullshit and other, more powerful Control decks that actually DO have the cards to be decent. Also, being not able to outvalue a deck in the long run is how all Control decks operate since the dawn of time. And by the way, countering decks that "can kill him quickly and without mercy" is actually a good thing, unless you like aggro, in which case you shouldn't even be speaking on the subject.
even if they nerfed Brawl up to 7-mana, it would still see regular play
Wrong. Not only that, but Control Warrior wouldn't even be a thing if they did that.
Warrior's tendency to keep getting better and better removal tools each expansion
Oh wow, another shocker. They keep giving Warrior better and better removal tools to actually make the deck work. Do you even realize how long it took them to make Control Warrior viable again?
We have a class with access to the best defense boost, with the best removal tools and consistent draw.
Defense is basically the hallmark of Warrior and has been ever since the game was released. It shouldn't be any other way.
I already explained removals, I'm not gonna repeat myself.
And what consistent draw are you exactly talking about? Two Shield Blocks? Or maybe some neutral cards like Loot Hoarder which ANY class can run? And please, don't even mention Battle Rage because it hasn't seen play since fucking Grim Patron Warrior.
And this class now has access to the best late game value engine + the best instant refill tempo play...
This "best late game value engine" has been in the game for almost a year now and it wasn't until now that it started seeing any kind of play. "The best instant refill tempo play"? Are you talking about Omega Assembly which gives you three RANDOM mechs which might turn out to be 3xEternium Rover? Oh yeah, that's a strong ass late game play.
and it's doing exceptionally well with a barely optimized deck.
Wrenchcalibur could be nerfed by either making it's effect a single Battlecry or bumping it's mana cost way up.
Making its effect a single battlecry would effectively kill the card. Elaborate on "way up".
One approach would be to reduce the amount of summoned bots per bomb to 1, meaning you'd need six bombs shuffled for a full board.
Yeah, it wouldn't be that bad... except your opponent needs to notdraw the bombs before you are even able to draw and then playBlastmaster Boom, which might be pretty tricky if it is stuck at the bottom of your deck. Shuffling six bombs into your opponent's deck and having them stay there before you play Blastmaster Boom would be absolutely impossible if Wrenchcalibur got nerfed to a single battlecry and even without the nerf it takes a long ass time and is hard enough.
that being the ability to highroll into certai powers every 2nd turn.
Do you think there might be a certain implication in the name Random Number Generator, or is it just me?
Less Bullshit
Then think before you post.
I'd also suggest changing your favorite class on your profile to something else, since having it be Hunter basically invalidates all of your arguments against Control decks in general.
To the above, how exactly did you count 6 Hero Powers?
And generally, I would say the problem with the current Bomb Warrior is that it cuts out entire playstyles, not just archetypes, similar to Quest Mage which was hated for this very reason. And someone might have mentioned it before, but there is another insane removal tool: Omega Devastator. And Warrior pays no price for this removal. They have Eternium Rover which they always seem to draw by turn 1, Vicious Scraphound, Militia Commander, Rabid Worgen, Darius Crowley to cope with any early tempo plays and gain some armor. It's ridiculous how a deck which is extremely greedy and value oriented can also beat you in the first 7-8 turns. Deathstalker Rexxar, is that you?
Also, you have a point at "Warrior needs to be good at something so let that be armor gain", but for some reason I didn't really celebrate that when I had 2 7/7s on a board against a warrior at 1HP, and at the end of the turn I had nothing against him sitting on 1hp and 17 armor (7 armor hero power, Shield Block x2, Shield Slam x2). Warrior itself consists of way too many factors of RNG. Obviously it's not a new discovery that luck plays a major role in Hearthstone, but again, at the end of a 40 minute long mirror match, my dear Bomb Warrior opponent ran out of cards (including the 10 discovered from Elysiana) while I still had 8 left, his hand was almost empty so I was pretty sure there is no way back for him... But 2 Chef Nomis coming from Elysiana thought otherwise, and a Mecha'thun from Omega Assembly isn't more fun to lose to, either. A Control matchup should be about whose build is more optimal and who uses their resources smarter, and giving such a deck access to these "If you lost the game, win the game instead" cards further increases the power of it since you just can't foresee what you need to deal with from all these card generators.
Conclusion, Bomb Warrior has its counters but playing against it is a torture. For the majority of tempo oriented decks, either you go all in and hope that you won't get your entire board/one big minion/usually both removed or you wait until you get slowly or less slowly destroyed. This is my opinion based on what I've seen on the ladder, and please don't call this another salty whine post because I winstreaked my way to rank 5 after beating 6 consecutive Bomb Warriors.
To the above, how exactly did you count 6 Hero Powers?
Whoops, sorry. Thanks for pointing that out.
A Control matchup should be about whose build is more optimal and who uses their resources smarter, and giving such a deck access to these "If you lost the game, win the game instead" cards further increases the power of it since you just can't foresee what you need to deal with from all these card generators.
This is my opinion based on what I've seen on the ladder, and please don't call this another salty whine post because I winstreaked my way to rank 5 after beating 6 consecutive Bomb Warriors.
I have absolutely no reason to call this "another salty whine post". What you said is true and I agree with it to some extent, you actually have the data to back up your opinions and you don't cry about how terrible and unbeatable Warrior is. I am honestly thankful for what you said.
I wouldn't necessarily count the Murmuring/Harbinger version of Shudderwock inferior to Keleseth versions. I ran it a few times pre-Saronite nerf and there were plenty of control matchups where the guaranteed combo version gave you an edge (odd warrior, control priest as examples). Keleseth was a turn 2 highroll, it wasn't consistent.
I think the reason why bomb warrior is so powerful is that it can play the game in a variety of ways, it's pretty catch-all. It has immensely strong control tools, can apply pressure at times and has an inevitable win condition. To this end, bomb warrior VERY MUCH reminds me of Jade Druid on release, before geist was introduced: a control deck with a clearly defined inevitable win condition which also generates pressure at the same time.
I have absolutely no reason to call this "another salty whine post". What you said is true and I agree with it to some extent, you actually have the data to back up your opinions and you don't cry about how terrible and unbeatable Warrior is. I am honestly thankful for what you said.
That part wasn't directed at you but those who like to take care of posts like these by saying "Yeah this is another butthurt aggro *any class* who got owned by control" and I wanted to avoid that.
And to whoever said that you cannot win without Dr. Boom, that is not correct. Obviously if you take the typical netdeck version and you remove it for whatever bomb synergy card, it will become weaker. But with the right cards and right decisions, it's possible, so please, do not complain unneccessarily and instead consider the options and where you can improve yourself and the situation. Such a popular deck should be a great thing for players because anyone can climb easily with the counter deck. Basically if 51% of the ladder is Bomb Warrior, even with a deck that loses to everything but Bomb Warrior you will win more than you lose. And even with all the highroll potential, the deck is relatively consistent, not like a big priest which can be incredibly strong or just that useless dependent on draws.
even if they nerfed Brawl up to 7-mana, it would still see regular play, just because of how good it is
No it wouldnt. Because if you are playing Controll Warrior and you play vs Tempo/Aggro decks and you can't play Brawl at 5 you will be almost dead at turn 7 if you have no decent removal cards or shield blocks in your hand
THIS Post pisses me off. I am a warrior main (won over 1500 games) and i can tell you brawl is essential for the class but not used all the time. Ever thought about wild? WArrior was the worst class in wild for so long. In addition to that you say the classc set of warrior is to strong?! Look at the basic set of warrior - let's se cards never see play: charge, warsongcommander, cleve, commanding shout, rampage, fiery waraxe, arathi weaponsmith and mortalstrike. Even grom witch is my favorite card in the game isnt used like edvin or velen.
In the end my favorite class is at the moment the strongest class since i am playing hearthstone witch i am very happy for so sucked up and use you Brain. You must really hate warrior for some kind of reason and you're a joke.
You spoke way too soon my friend. Bomb warrior wont be a thing. The thing that carries it is warrior ability in control. Soon they will realize pure control is better than bomb warrior as it will sub the bombs for better late game removal to win vs kadhgar mage
