It was always going to be popular. You must be pretty naive or ignorant if you didn't see bomb warrior being played a fair amount, particularly in the days following the release. Lots of reasons for this
It's fun
It's fairly cheap, particularly if you had a mech warrior deck going
It's an interesting concept and a different way of playing
It's strong, at least for now
I'm sure there is a good counter to it. Cards like Rafaam, the warlock card that destroys half of ecah players deck, plot twist and elek. There must be a deck there somewhere. I'm messing about with a sort of zoo/heal/deck disruption at the moment. There's loads of time and experimenting to be done. Obviously peolle will play the stand out choices, bomb warrior, burgle rogue, murloc shaman etc
These have been theory crafted for a while now and some people want to jump in and play something decent/strong off the bat. Not everyone has fun with experimenting with decks. Just because YOU do, doesn't mean everyone has the same concept and neither is right or wrong. Some people are terrible at deck building and rely on better builders to help form decks they can compete with. Plenty of people would likely turn away from the game all together if this wasn't an option.
As much as people will claim otherwise, deck building is tricky and can be a really frustrating process. Constantly tweaking a deck and not really being able to build anything strong, causing you to get stomped all over isn't an issue for some, it is for others.
Instead of being butt hurt and complaining, go and home brew some weird experimental deck that counters it. I can appreciate both mindsets in terms of 'net decking' and people who like to come up with wierd and wonderful decks but there's a real sense of entitlement and elitism about the latter. Unless you're doing something wayyyy out of left field, you may not 'net deck' but you will tweak and tweak based on what you come up against, what is strong etc and if you're trying for a competitive deck, iwll likely come up with a very similar deck anyway. So it isn't all that original, you just took a bit longer to get there and figured it out yourself.
On the flip side, not everyone running a similar deck will have net decked. There will be plenty of people who can assess the cards and come up with similar, strong versions of a deck or archetype.
When I first started playing, I played against people using things like cube lock and it quite obviously shaped my thought process going forward. I built a deck that ended up similar but not as good as a refined version and eventually, ended up looking it up and changing the 5 or 6 cards needed to make it really competitive. It isn't unusual for people to want to skip that process. As I said above, it isn't fun for everyone.
Yeah but people are completely dumb, especially on this game. They go on hs replay, take the higher winrate and rush at the ladder. No matter if the deck is fun or not, no matter if they're going to play mirrors from morning to night.
I suspect in this case it's more about Bomb Warrior being a cheap deck to build if you already had a Mech Warrior. There is only one new legendary card to add and just a few others.
But it's easy to exploit a situation like this by building a deck that counters the popular one, so complaining is silly. Smart players celebrate when this happens.
Cheap ? Not really. Even if you already had mech warrior, you still have to add 2 epics and 1 legendary minimum. But most of the current versions run augmented elekk sometimes x2, seaforium bomber and elysiana. Which means a ton of dusts. Plus, we're not even 24h after the release of the expansion. Most of people just act like children and spend half of their dusts into decks that will maybe be obsolete next week.
If you'd just take the easy wins, people would change decks.
There are at least 6 separate threads rehashing this topic. Just go beat it. 12-2 so far against bomb warrior. I wish it was 80% of the meta.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.

Am just going off what i saw on Kripp's stream, all i do is Arena only exception is for upgrading my monthly chest. This is why i do Arena only in the first place to ignore such garbage. Just finding it comical how quickly all the lemmings copied each other and it's already stale in the first 12 hours.
It's an interesting concept and a different way of playing
lol fucking bullshit. It's basically the same mech control warrior that we know for many months with some uninteractive cards to fill the deck. Tell me again that the deck is interesting

I just can't undersand, how can be this many stupid people in one place... First of all, use the Salt topic for stupid posts like this... Secondly, Boom Warior is not OP... Pretty easy to out-heal, pretty easy to rush down, it's not actually a problem.
People enjoy playing it, because it is fun, it's that simple...
Please stop making these stupid posts.
Ps: i can't wait to see the next braindead topic in the next few days, when someone finds another fun deck...

Except the deck is fun, but not good.
You have the right to find it fun, but it's still nothing more than the same mech control warrior that everyone plays for many months. The only addition is these uninteractive cards that put bombs in your deck. And everyone is playing it so playing mirrors all the day is quickly boring

Yeah, I know man, I wasn't talking to anyone specific.
Remember Witchwood, when everyone played the terrible version of Shudderwock with Fire Plume and Murmuring Ele on Day one?
Remember Boomsday, when everyone played Topsy Turvey priest, even though most people hadn't even figured out the sequence yet?
The only thing that gets things changing is when the decks that are popular get annihilated. In this case, it's not difficult. Just address the tech needed to beat the Bomb Warrior and you'lll enjoy an obscenely high win rate.

Playing against Bomb Warrior feels no different than playing Odd Warrior, wasting 30 mins per game only to lose in the end because nothing competes with it. GG Blizz another job well done.

i open boom and wrenchcalibur and craft the rest of the deck and i played bomb warrior but the deck is not for me
i didnt have any fun at all
u rely on bombs and drawing boom
maybe i dont like warrior class at all
i find zoo rafaam deck or plot twist hakkar rafaam deck really intresnting and fun though i having a blast playing Arch-Villain Rafaam
I think the hero card is the real problem. They should nerf it to 10 mana or do something about generating infinite mechs.
Except the deck is fun, but not good.
Farming them with control shaman so far
Bomb Warriors don't play nice with my Chef Nomi deck (God dammit i will use my legendary i packed first)
OTK players suck.

That hsreplay netdeckers are sitting on lower ranks. On rank3-2 today I mostly faced minion heavy dragon warriors, not that bomb-rush crap. :)
Only warriors today. Only the same deck. Such an INSANE NO SKILL netdeck community, haha.
I hope you love playing mirror matches all the time. BAN MODE BLIZZ, FAST!
Is the murloc legendary worth crafting? Also the war leaders?
List?
Try out the deck in my signature against those pesky Bomb Warriors. I have also posted Wild and Tavern Brawl versions as well.
