We got our picture for the expansion in the following year.
What are you expexting by seeing this?
So the first one came to my Mind was Dalaran/Kirin Tor, but then I noticed it's the same colors and design Paladin Tier 4 and 14 used in WoW, and those were designed after Shattrath and the Draenei.
The second one perfectly fits to the Sethrak Race from current Battle for Azeroth. We also get a shaman hero from those in the new PvE adventure as you can see in the mid in the hero screen.
1st expansion is going to around pandaren imho. If you go to this pic, you will see 2 pandaren and a sethrak* being depicted, which are part of a Pve set (which will take place in May):
[edit] I see you already pasted the pic. I guess I was too slow.
1st x-pack will be Shattrath themed. The cardbacks all look themed around its colors. 2nd Looks Kirin-Tor. 3rd is a shot in the dark. Maybe an alt-draenor lightforged theme?
Definitely something connected with Dragons (idk what, i don't play wow). With the year of the mamooth we had Un'goro as a first expansion, year of the raven introduced Witchwood as a first exp. So we can expect to see something with dragons as a theme.
Not two Pandaren and a Saurok. They are a Pandaren, a Sethrak and a Vulpera from Battle for Azeroth.
Pretty sure they are Captain Eudora for the Rogue and the Avatar of Sethralis for the Shaman.
Ok, thx for the correction.
I agree with you, that I could be wrong on the pandaren thing, but as you can see, the next expansion is definitely not centered around Dalaran/Kirin Tor. You know more about the warcraft lore than me, so in your opinion what's the connection between those three characters? This info will reveal the theme of the next expansion.

I've played WoW for 11 years, and so I consider myself an expert of lore and images in game.
The first expansion with out a doubt is Dalaran themed. The adventure mode will take us into the sewers, and into the Violet Hold where many terrible creatures are jailed. The card backs are all purple with white which is the symbol of the Kirin Tor.
The second is more tricky as there aren't as many clues, but my educated guess would be The Golden Lotus and Sha themed. I don't know if this is where we will finally see Monk class cards, but my fingers are crossed! This would be a perfect time to do it!
Third and final expansion looks striking like The Iron Horde with some Bronze Dragonflight in the middle, so I'm guessing it's War Lords of Draenor themed with each Orc chief being a hero card like how each class got a hero card in Frozen throne. Those cards are so strong it only makes sense to make them last in the year so their time in standard rotation doesn't last very long.

1. I think the prevailing wisdom places the first one either in Dalaran or Shattrath. I would be fine with either! Dalaran makes a lot of sense if the story's "character" is a Mage, since they could start there as a trainee or Kirin Tor member/
2. I think something in Mists makes a lot of sense here, but I disagree that this would be a good time to add Monk: the most logical time to me would be a the beginning of a rotation year, rather than a second expansion. Monk would then be basically playable in Standard but would be light on cards for Wild for a little while. But, I kinda doubt they'll add any new classes at all at this point, as much as it pains me to say.
3. Based on the charring I do think Iron Horde or maybe something vaguely Cataclysm related makes sense. Generals as hero cards makes sense but they're just as likely to do the Loa thing and have them be class legendaries. There's a lot of different formats for them to play with here.
OP is the only one that got the 2nd one right: it's definitely Sethrak from BfA (no one's playing that shite so no one knows Sethrak...). They have those kind of glyphs everywhere and also the runes, so it's that. They'll prolly try to bring some tiny bit of curiosity into BfA with that.
One of the card backs in the preview images reminds me so much of the "Dalaran Flame" TeSPA card back, so definitely something with Dalaran first expansion.
Second, I have no clue.
Third, something dragon themed... I doubt it'll be around Deathwing as we have him already as a card, and a second Deathwing card in Wild. But since we know they aren't opposed to printing cards using characters that already have cards. Some people have said Caverns of Time, so what if an alternate timeline Deathwing comes through the Caverns of Time, leading the corrupted aspects under his control to dominate our timeline in Azeroth?!
Since all three will have a combined story, intertwined story could play out... Exp1: Mages of Dalaran/Kirin Tor are investigating some mysterious plot. Exp2: Major player of the scheme is revealed. Kirin Tor continues quest to stop this villain from obtaining their goal Exp3: Villain achieves his mysterious goal, summoning alt versions of Deathwing and the other aspects to our timeline. Chaos ensues!
Image 1: Dalaran (Purple, cement). I can see it being alternate universe Shattrath too.
Image 2: Ulduar/TItans theme (stars, runes)
Image 3: Here Be Dragons (fire, fire, fire). Btw, is there an Ouroboros at the edge of the circe? And that it looks quite earthy? Maybe we learn how Blackwing got corrupted -- dragons vs. the Old Gods, anyone? Or maybe it's Chromie and the Bronze Dragonflight, with Hearthstone doing a time-travel thing (perfect good-bye to a then certain outgoing Mage legendary).
Next year image I noticed: Year of the Dinosaur/Tyranosaur
Next year image I noticed: Year of the Dinosaur/Tyranosaur
Looking at past Images for Year of the Raven and Mammoth, that same "dragon" and raptor images have appeared to the left so I wouldn't put much stock in that. They just reuse the same art and replace the official year symbol and updates symbols to the right.
I would love to see them introduce Offline mode for Solo content. Would be great to be able to play whilst on an international flight or whilst camping etc.
I have no idea why people seem to think first one is Dalaran/Kirin Tor when it's clearly not.
Look closely. There's white-golden-purple color theme with purple being crystals/runes. What's also white-golden-purple? Draenei architecture. And their robots. So my guess would be something related to Auchindoun/Shattrath. And by the way, Dalaran purple is of a different shade.
About second one I currently have no idea, but maybe something will come up later when I look through places and pieces with naval theme.
Third one is most likely something related to Iron Horde. You can see tusk in the bottom part and fiery strips in the top one.
Core: look closely and you see it's a star illuminating runes with a blur effect (And it's the only core that's not copy pasted.)
Colors: Fits well with Draenei, more old school Exodar style but still very Draenei.
Art: Agen, feels Draenei with the "royal" lines on top and familiar rune on bottom, as well as the artist have purposely changed the bottom wood art to something more solid.
Card Pack: Well there is one clear giveaway here, don't that cracked worn out art remind you of something? (Argus Map)
Relevance: Non really, but it's a untapped source of assets. I hear everyone is assuming Dalaran and/or Arcane, my question to you is how will you create 150 ish unique cards based on those assets?
Expantion 2:
Area: Nasjatar
Core: Nothing special, it's actually copy pasted to Expansion 3, But it fits with the water/fire theme. (will get back to that)
Colors; Fits a watery theme/ancient ruins.
Art: Lots of small hints here, the trident behind the core most obvious, Yeah i know it looks like a cross for consistency, but take note the artist ever so slightly lifted the cross from the center. Other hints are the tiny bit of corrosion on the frame around the core, the watery "hidden" runes on the left side of the frame And runes in general signalizing that this is something very old.
Relevance: Well HUGE, as this will clearly release fairly close to WOW patch 8.2.
PS: Odd thing i noticed, the outer frame on Ex1 and 2 is clearly copy pasted as well as the top half of the outer circle, but the bottom half is edited. Problem is i cant figure out what it illustrates, a bone? Driftwood?
Expansion 3:
Area: Blackwing Lair / Blacrock Dephts.
Core: Same as Expansion 2, but now represent Fire.
Colors: well you cant really get closer to BWL/BRD.
Art: Major here is the tooth, we already done dinosaurs so beasts are pretty much out of the picture so it makes sense to expect it's a dragon tooth. And that exudes a lot of other thing making BWL/BRD a pretty safe bet. Other things to notice is the lava on top and what clearly is handcrafted iron on bottom.
Relevance: Fits well with WOW's Classic stage 2 release "Stage 2: Blackwing Lair, Battlegrounds and PvP rewards, Zul'Gurub", but i don't think it's enough assets we can use in BWL we already haven't used, alas why i added BRD.
It's actually hard to tell what they will do with this one, as we already did Black Rock Mountain. Maybe it it simply will be a dragon Theme all in all. (This is really the most confusing one to me, the art Absolutely screams Dark iron and Black Dragon Flight, but we already used the best assets in the Blackrock Mountain solo expansion)

The third one fits to the Iron Horde. Also to mention all heroes from the PvE screen there are from Battle for Azeroth.
I believe first one is Kirin tor

Ironic. It could recycle others, but not itself.
