He's such an iconic character, too iconic to simply be put aside for Wild and be forgotten in my opinion, while at the same time he's simply do a really good card, but now overpowered by any means.

Or ... you could play wild, and enjoy his status as a permanently playable card.

No card should stay in Standard. That's the whole point. Besides, he's too OP to let any 8 drops see any play without serious powercreep.

Not a good idea, there is one legendary I feel can go into classic, and that is Wizzbang. 

Sylvanas Windrunner is just as iconic.

He's too much of a staple to stay evergreen.

Just join Wild! It's much cheaper than you think. F2P Wild player here. 

Rather see him go. Yes he's an excellent taunt option for almost any deck but ragnaros and sylvanas were great consistent options and we all know what blizzard did to them. He also generates one random card out of a pool of 8 where some cards are really good and others are completely useless for the remainder of the match. don't really like the heavy RNG aspect.

Sorry OP, what was sarcastic about that post? The Lich King has been an ubiquitous card since KoFT and, although I'll miss him in Standard, he needs to go.

 Edit: Unless you were referring to your original Post. In which case, yes. Sarcasm is hard to define in print.

Its a no go here...........then you might as well do that with most GREAT expansion cards!!!!!

They should abandon the classic set, and make a new set, where from every set a couple of cards are put in that stay standard forever...

Or they do like MTG and make a changing classic set, where cards from past expansions make a comeback...

I think THIS version of him is fine to let go. But Blizzard can easily create another card with him much like they did with Elise, Deathwing and Hemet.

Bad idea. You should just let go. I know it's hard and, at the beginning, you can feel alone, but it's for the best, to just have one last Hoorah! with him and let it go. There always will be the beautiful memories, as well as wild, to return to, if the pain, the suffering of not being able to see him gets too high. We all have been there, knowing the answer, before even asking the question, and that's why I am sure that after you eat the cookie and open your first guaranteed legendary from the new expansion, you will realise, that you don't miss him anymore and you can believe in whatever you want.

That's why this community is so important, so you can talk about and share your problems, biggest fears and some salt. And then get all that positive feedback and think about it. Isn't it just perfect?

This is actually incorrect. In most Wild decks, it is a very close call between the 2 (Even shaman) and many just run both (big priest.)

And of course let TLK rotate. I want to see whatever good 8-drops they come up with played, or even let exsting cards see more play (Ysera??)

Why did Rag or Sylvanas have to go then? 

If LK wouldn't rotate out it would be the new Ragnaros: 8 drop that won't let new 8 drops see play unless they're crazy overpowered.
