Comparing a coin toss probability with decks that might come up against thousand ones on the ladder isn't any smart. I'm just comparing the fact that people kept complaining about Spell Hunter and now Odd Mage (imo) has taken it's place. Just you wait.
The Coin Toss part was the first probability comparison that came to my mind to make the joke. The joke being that I should just report my conclusions based on data that is so limited it is nearly irrelevant.
You are comparing the fact that people kept complaining about Spell Hunter which could be seen in the extremely large sample size of data gathering sites, which your 10 game sample size. You made the assumption that Odd Mage took it's place from the 10 game sample size, and the reason wrote what I wrote is that you shouldn't take conclusions from such a limited sample size.
The point is not to prevent you from getting your point across, it's to prevent you from doing it in a way that is unnecessary and just outright rude. Sarcasm isn't necessarily a bad thing but it is very hostile to use it in this way.
Interesting, I don't see Sarcasm as rude, nor do I see what I write as rude. I made a joke, wasn't trying to be hostile. I do believe there is a difference between hostility and dismissal. I am not hostile towards the OP, I was dismissing his conclusion based on the evidence he presented, and I did so sarcastically because I felt like I could word it in a way that I, personally, found fun.
Regardless of how wrong the OP is, you're making a very dismissive direct comparison between the OP and something that is quite obviously extremely stupid. How would you expect that to be interpreted, if not as hostile and rude?
Text posts leave a lot of room for interpretation, and sarcasm will almost always come off as rude, even if the intention was lighthearted. You might want to try using some emojis in your posts to convey that you're just having fun.
If making fun of others and their opinions is what you consider "fun", perhaps 4chan or r/roastme are more for you.
Depends on what you mean by "the secret version". There's currently three iterations of the deck running around -
1. Odd with "Big Spell" package
2. Odd with assorted secrets
3. SMOrk Odd
Big Spell odd thrives in the late game like any control deck, and they save their Jan'alai for once they've popped Jaina. Assorted secrets odd can be shut down like you shut down any other secret deck, just don't trigger them. SMOrk odd loses steam by turn 10. I do not think any of them are evenly matched against the three main priest archetypes in the meta, except for Big Spell Odd vs. Dragon Control priest, that would depend on who pops Alexstraza first.

Well, I'm going by the hsreplay definition, I guess you'd say it's the more aggressive version which runs secrets, burn spells, etc. It has a pretty good win rate Vs clone priest (69%), and 49% winrate Vs control priest. Wall is a bit worse, at 47%. Hardly bad stats.
The new Ragnaros is really broken in that deck because you always get the effect on curve, but that is it, only one card don't make the deck broken, far from it.
Mage is one of the classes I play most and I think the BSM is much more consistent than odd, giving up Poly/Fireball/Meteor is a very big deal and the upgraded hero power is not even close to the rogue one for tempo.

The deck aims to win in 7-8 turns, so it's a totally different mindset. You don't card about meteor and poly if you're playing it, and you target different matchups.
I too noticed an increase in off mages since the nerds. I think it's a solid deck and also fun to play, so why shouldn't people play it? I still prefer this to opponents trying to "hunt me down"
I guess a lot of people play whatever gets attention on forums/streams etc. Last few days it is a lot of wall priest again..I dont mind, I have been farming them with my hunter...
My match-ups this week at ranks 5-3(a scary lot I noticed, but I had some time off haha):
Priest: 19
Mage: 9
Hunter: 7
Warlock: 6
Rogue: 6
Paladin: 3
Druid: 3
Warrior: 2
Shaman: 1 An elemental shaman. I had no clue what he was playing as I had not seen one in a long time. I lost, but I dont mind. I like seeing something new/different
Its about 6-7% (~9% if you include the awful control builds) representation on ladder across all ranks. So nowhere near Spell Hunter's old level of popularity but yeah quite popular. Its a reasonable aggro deck with a low skill ceiling so people will jump on board with it.
