Skulking Geist makes it so much easier. It's also useful against Odd Pally (this cancer) and some Hunters and Warrior.
A 6 mana 4-6 is not the strongest play, but it's not that weak either.
It is a strong play as on top of that minion you also take away win conditions for a good amount of decks out there or at least take away key components.
Gnomeferatu You may not always hit the correct card, but when you do it's glorious. And if you pull the wrong one, you just shorten your agony by a turn which is nice too.
As odd warrior, you can try to pick up a cornered sentry / hungry ettin from stonehill, and then shield slam your minion so that they can’t trade theirs off. Works every damn time.
This comment is kind of dumb though. You can't just not play anything and hope to win. Especially because your not really sure what your opponent is playing the first few turns and even when you figure it out it's not as simple as don't do shit.
I had the most fun with a mecha'thun otk Druid today. He built up his Gnomer Auctioneer so well that he had 9 health on it and as a priest I helped him out with healing it each turn and doubling health on it. He couldn't kill it off. He was in fatigue and up to the 10+ with each draw as he kept drawing each time he did a spell with an empty deck. He finally had to use his last naturalize to kill it off but at that point he was killing himself with each fatigue draw. It was glorious.
The other day I psychic screamed the 2/14 tank (I forget the name right now) into his deck and it was his last card. He couldn't kill it off either and fatigued himself to death.
Another fun OTK Druid - I was also playing as a priest - I psychic screamed my Lich King into his deck when he was almost out of cards in his deck. The fun was that he kept getting more cards at the end of each turn from Lick King till he also finally had to use his last naturalize to kill it off. He played Mechathun which was quickly silenced and he conceded.
It's fun to ruin a one win condition deck. When it all rides on one set of circumstances, failure is easy to accomplish.

For this current meta you can tell in the first 2 cards they play what their deck is. It's all so predictable. With Baku and Glen still around even before they play a card you know what they are going to do. Makes it easy to win as you know just what they are going to do as there is zero variance in any of these decks now. If there is then you have to laugh as it's even easier as they are missing a key component of the deck.

True but this is useful to know and understand, this thread literally won me a game last night. My Togwaggle Druid vs his Mechathun, he drew out faster than me and I was able to freeze him out by removing his minions and playing none

I mostly play control decks and i've never lost to mechacthun druid.
Since i see lot of complains about that deck i wanna share how to beat it.
Ofcourse Geist is instant win but since few decks run it i'll focus on others viable strategies, expecially for odd decks who cannot use tech cards.
The way to beat it is to make them have at least one removal in hand they cannot use.
Let's do math:
They run
2 wrath
2 naturalize
2 spellstone
2 moonfire.
Thats it.
They have a total of six minions.
If they are forced to use removal on their minions you can remove them first.
If you are warrior just tank up and see them losing in fatigue.
If you are priest you can scream them some crap or even use power world shield on their ones.
Ofc you need to keep track of which spells and minions they still have, not hard at all.
just had a game as Priest,
and its not that easy to do 50 dmg without having big dmg on the board, so he cannot kill his own minions. and scream only gives u like 3 more rounds
maybe i just craft Hakkar
Nerubian Unraveler

Why not just run Mojomaster Zihi to slow them down a bit?
Moonfire can go face.
If you play as priest 2x seance (+ more to discover + 5/5 copies for 1 mana from shrine) destroys any mecha tun's dreams
