So I queued up a handful of games playing Whizbang in casual since I opened this card a while ago and hadn't played it yet and noticed that I was being matched against other Whizbang decks. Has it always been this way or is this a recent change. I couldn't find anything stating specifically that this is the case, just some reddit posts suggesting this very thing.
I'm pretty positive that I was playing others playing Whizbang because why else would you play discard warlock without the quest, and I played against a dragon warrior that was playing the same deck I got the match before.
Kind of cool if this is the case as it would keep it pretty fair as far as power level goes for new players rocking the Whizbang.
No, because remember, Blizzard is a very small indie game company that can't afford to spend resources coding things like a modified matchup system based on experience and collection instead of just rank.
Jokes aside, that's probably not the case. It's more likely that Whizbang is just really common among almost all communities of F2Ps, because it allows them to experience decks that they probably won't be able to before the expansion rotates. And that's not to diss F2Ps, I am an F2P myself and I insta-crafted a golden Whizbang the moment Boomsday released. I'm just saying that the reason is probably that the only people that play casual are either veterans that haven't played in a long time or people that play Whizbang. Also, petition to make Whizbang a classic card.
Whats interesting about it is, I have rarely, if at all faced a whizbang deck when playing casual with a meme or experimental deck. I mostly play ranked but queue up casual when playing a fun garbage deck and then like 3 in a row when playing whizbang. Could be coincidence IDK it made me wonder.
