Just played 4 games in casual cause i need to finish a quest. dont have a decent deck to run on ladder for priest. 3 out of 4 had legend card backs. and played meta decks. Whats their point?
bunch of bozos. spending 30 mins for 4 losses when im just looking for a win to fullfil quest is infuriating
Legend card back is nothing special these days. Just cause someone has it doesnt mean he is a pro that makes a living playing this game and went to casual to harass the plebs. He might be about as casual as you, just made a push for legend once or something. You rly shouldnt be bothered by a silly thing like this.
PS: not sure what game mode you play, but if you mostly play Standard, goin Wild casual for a quick win might be more forgiving, since you have shitty mmr there :)
those are official blizzard bots to give you the ultimate experience. by any chance, did they have funny names like SleepyDragon or GrumpyGoose? (mind the capital letters)

You must be one hell of a casual player to face that kind of opponent. Why not just concede for easier match?
No they had regular gamer names.
Im not a great player. I play casually on ladder. only this month i grinded the wild ladder from rank 25 to 5. i reckon my wr on casual most be around 65 to 70% cause i only play there to do quests when i have a decent deck for it, like Tier 2. seeing legend players there seems overkill as shit but whatever.
today i didnt have that much time to play being New Years Eve so i just wanted to get this quest done quickly but i dont think i ever spent 30mins on casual just to complete a single win for a quest and i blame that to the fact that im facing legend players.
true that it doesnt mean much but you are not a xmas noob or a random casual if u have a legend card back, quite the contrary.
If I'm looking to get a quest done, I'll often go to wild ranked and do something as casual as possible (did a divine shield deck for the divine shield quest today.) I've found that wild low rank is very forgiving and full of meme/casual decks. So, I'd try that if you haven't already.

65%-70% wr in casual is why you're matched with people who also have 65%-70% ... I thought this would have been a no brainer. It would have been really unfair to match you with people who are playing real meme or f2p decks.
Casual has it's own MMR so who you find there will always reflect your history perfectly. For example, I once watched a video of the first HS world champ, Firebat, trying to fix a really, really bad decklist in casual. He never played on casual ever so his MMR was noob tier and he matched with people playing frostwolf grunts and frostbolting face turn 2
Also, casual farming in this game without botting is a real joke... 3 wins for 1/10 of a pack is horrible. Unless you live in a country in the middle of a economic collapse, you'd get 20x more done working minimum wage then buying packs with the money you make. Those people are likely trying to quest like you or testing new netdecks without hurting their rank. Just because the deck is tier 1 doesn't mean people are confident to pilot them perfectly on their first game
Op does have a point in people using top tier decks in casual though, remember msg? casual was full of fucking pirate warriors who were broken at that time, it's no different right now the top deck isn't PW anymore but people use the current top tier decks to farm people in casual, it's always been a problem, if they want to use top tier decks and tryhard then ranked is the place to do that, what you can do Op is have a secondary account in your phone, set up a suicidelock deck with tons of self damage cards or even genn if you own it and complete the "win games" quests with yourself using the borrow decks feature while not wasting time with the toxic playerbase, a lot of us dont even bother trying to play casual anymore because almost everyone uses it to farm players trying to play different stuff

Many times I've played a meta deck in casual to complete a quest because I'm currently ranking up with a different deck and don't want to fuck my rank up, so maybe those people you encountered were doing the same.
I used to get to legend monthly 2 years ago. After returning to the game, I don`t have the cards/knowledge/skill anymore to be very successful in ranked play after rank 10. When I need to do the quests I take a 2-3 year old deck and try to get some wins in casual..

You havn´t considered they might be doing just what you were trying to...completing a few quest quickly since they know on ladder they will be facing tryhards with tier 1 decks.

I don't need to anymore as I have a big enough collection but I used to have an account set up just so I could log in to it on my phone and play against it using my main account on PC. That way I can always complete quests for classes I didn't have cards for.
All quests can be completed in VS mode as well as play.

I actually do this all the time. Take a break to get knocked down to low ranks, then just play a bunch of top tier Standard decks to have an 80-90% winrate for a week or two! It's great fun!

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
