OTK paladin can easily win without OTK. Shudder can also get in some wins without shudder - just hagatha and bunch of pirnced minions. I guess it's good against kingsbane and otk priest. But other than that?
Because the only reason "Thanoslock" exists is for it's cleaver name lol
Void contract is just utterly atrocious. Controlock itself is super low value. Even if you manage to delete the right 50% of the opponent's OTK, you're just going to get outvalued and fatigued ... unless you're also running things like Rin, in which case, you don't need Void contract in the first place

Druid as well I guess but not sure.
I've killed plenty of tappylocks and control decks with Maly druid without drawing Malygos. They just straight up keeled over and died to being punched by Arcane Tyrants and UIs to the face. It's probably even easier if the opponent spends turn 2 dealing 8 damage to themselves and discarding 2 cards from hand ...
Meanwhile, C'thun, Hadronox, Hakkar druids can be much more consistently countered in warlock with a simple skulking giest and spellbreaker. Even demonic project is better
The deck is a normal controlock but runs bloodbloom and voidcontract so u can early on destroy a combo deck.
Ooze and Gnomeferatu kills kingsbane. Doomsayers dreadlords voidlords kills aggro along with AOEs and ziliax and stonehill defenders etc.Skull might even be usefull.
Demonic project also kills combos
Rin wins u the control matchups Dk guldan does the same etc
U can even run another tech card like chief inspector ir skulking geist.
So why isnt this more played? I saw Thjis playing it without Rin i think which i think is a mistake.
Is it early in the meta? Will it see play in the near future?
IMO Rin only wins you like 1 or 2 rare match-ups (Baku Warrior and some sort of control priest running benedictus).
But yeh, the deck is legit. I think it just needs to be refined and further popularized.

because the meta isn't made up of Combo decks
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
