The deck is a normal controlock but runs bloodbloom and voidcontract so u can early on destroy a combo deck.
Ooze and Gnomeferatu kills kingsbane. Doomsayers dreadlords voidlords kills aggro along with AOEs and ziliax and stonehill defenders etc.Skull might even be usefull.
Demonic project also kills combos
Rin wins u the control matchups Dk guldan does the same etc
U can even run another tech card like chief inspector ir skulking geist.
So why isnt this more played? I saw Thjis playing it without Rin i think which i think is a mistake.
Is it early in the meta? Will it see play in the near future?
it doesn't have a real win condition or way to close the game, yes you play void contract but the rest of your cards are removal and not finishers and if you add finishers you are at the whim of wether contract destroys them or not, CUbelock is more popular because you conrol the game until you can cube doomguards (or voidlords in case you are playing against aggro)

This seems to be the reason why. Thing is cubelock is more likely to be killed by aggro and same thing vs all the kingsbane rogues. And theres a lot of them now mainly cause of hunter
Because Void Contract is shit and Bloodbloom doesn't make this card good. It just dilutes your deck. (you can combine it with twisting nether, siphon - 4 spells in your deck).
The rest is control warlock, which is kinda weak to druid (taunt, big etc). I would gladly play it, but I am tired of druid's BS in standard.
Consistency is a big problem too. You have a lot of cards for specific match-ups (such as Demonic Project) as well as quite a few expensive cards. The more you try to have an answer to every deck to more reliant you become on getting a good draw.
For the same reason control warlock wasn't played before, nothing changed. It is bad against aggro, other control decks and right now there aren't enough combo decks to justify playing it.
Against control we have Rin and Bloodreaver gul'dan. The only issue we have are druid decks, which can puke minions after minions and which can exhaust our removals (Twisting Nethers) like Taunt Druid.

And then you pay 8 life to destroy half of someone's deck, only to get destroyed by the 5 minions in their hand while you tap desperately for enough removal.
Too many match-ups rely on RNG. Even your Mulligan is basically random, needing to assume what they are playing before you see the first card.
Why would u want finisher ? The point with the decks is to destroyer your oppenent finisher.
my point exactly. Combo decks are left dead in the water while u can still have some minions that make u survive and deal enough damage to prolong the match. if u end up with DK guldan than its gg.
vs control ur win con IS Rin as long as u kill it on the same turn.
vs control killer aka Kingsbane you just ooze on fatigue and Gnomeferatu for the win con
aggro u dont need win con cause removal is what u want so u find enough time for ur Voidlords dreadlords and DK.
I havent tried this deck, specially cause i dont have some of the cards tho i was thinking about crafting it. it seems to be teched against most popular decks including Hunters. i mean sure deathrattle hunter and probably midrange beast hunter should win against us but it seems like it has a balanced matchups in THEORY.
of course Even Warlock might just do the same job but better and faster but i find myself losing to combo decks if i dont have giant on opening. specially now Priests have Mass Hysteria on APM and Ressurect OTKs variants

Are you defending the OP? Opposing him? Or just trying to be contrary with everyone?
And for every clever answer to everyone's combo that people are trying to silver bullet, there is always counteraction.
Whoops. looks like I got Shirvalla Cannon instead instead of Odd Pally. Punt.Darn, Void Contract Didn't hit a combo Piece. Whiff. Uh, my opponent knows how to keep his Kingsbane in hand when I can threaten Gnomferatu. feelsbadman. And my favorite... Crap, Contract just destroyed all the removal I needed for the rest of his deck.
You need win conditions, if you are going to win games once you start playing people who know how to play it out instead of concede on the spot. And Contract can actually rob you of your own win-cons.
It is known as Thanoslock? Because it can counter stuffs?
"Given how destroying half of something is now equated solely with Thanos since that was his entire goal in Avengers: Infinity War as he sought to wipe out half the universe, it didn’t take long before the Thanos comparisons made their way to the Hearthstone community" i found this explanation on this web site https://comicbook.com/gaming/2018/11/05/hearthstone-void-contract-thanos-card-avengers-infinity-war/
Plus its rarity is epic (purple colour) and the card art is mostly purple as well just like Thanos colour

Yeah thats the only thing im seeing against this kind of deck and why i guess many dont want to run it.
And with all honesty i think thats balanced cause if u would still have a clear win con after using Void Contract than man that deck would be busted and it would break the game as u literally could win against all kinds of archetypes.
I don't understand why you are carpeting at my posts.
In my first one I wanted to tell OP, that this combo (Void Contract + Bloodbloom) is really weak and definitely not worth the inclusion. The first card is expensive, unreliable and garbage outside of combo MUs. This doesn't impact the board or heal our face and will only hurt our deck, if we were to run it. The second card has a very fringe usage with the rest of the spells (only 3-4 are a good combination with it, the rest of the deck doesn't benefit from it). This is why I said, that if we exclude this particular combo, we will have a clean version of control warlock - the one we know from back in WW. And the reason why this isn't played anymore is because of the existence of some decks (Taunt Druid), which are just resistent to our removals.
However BennyTheMiller stated something, which didn't fit the reality of things. And I don't "try to be contrary with everyone" but I won't close my eyes to false statements. I wanted to explain to him that minion-based decks were never a hard MU for control warlock and I supported my argument by giving a long list of defensive tools (starting with the best cheap* AoE in the game Defile). I know this, because this is the deck I played since KoFT and for me those MUs were almost never an issue. Neither was control (Odd warrior, BSM mage), only druid and some burn decks.
Whoops. looks like I got Shirvalla Cannon instead instead of Odd Pally. Punt.Darn, Void Contract Didn't hit a combo Piece. Whiff. Uh, my opponent knows how to keep his Kingsbane in hand when I can threaten Gnomferatu. feelsbadman. And my favorite... This is why I never saw Void Contract being a useful counter. But players can outplay their opponents in some situations:
Against Canon Paladin I would save my Gnomeferatus for the very end and I would try to have more than 25 health, in order to survive the 25 damage blast. Against OTK paladin I would hold onto my Demonic Project(s), until the the right time comes. It's still RNG, but this is better than nothing (other classes don't have hand disruption tools). Against Kingsbane rogue I would try to Ooze the weapon before I destroy it. You said that the rogue will keep it in their hand, but they won't hold onto it forever, will they?
You need win conditions
However this is true. This is why Cubelock is doing really well according to hsreplay. And knowing jainaishot, I can imagine how his explosive builds reward him atm.
you are just sacrificing 2 cards and 8 hp to Gamble for destroying your opponent finishers, is that good?? Maybe.., but that is best case, you might have the void contract too late or without the bloodbloom, too bad for a "best case"
For the same reason control warlock wasn't played before, nothing changed. It is bad against aggro, other control decks and right now there aren't enough combo decks to justify playing it.
Control warlock became a niche deck in knights of the frozen throne, has been meta in various forms in every meta since, and is ridiculously strong against aggro.
Don't confuse control warlock with gnomeferatu burn your opponent's deck memes. The actual core of control warlock right now is spellstone/defile.
It's just not consistent. Void Contract can just win you the game, but it can also just bring the opponent closer to pulling off their combo. Decks like APM priest and Kingsbane are made to streamline assembling the deck as fast as possible. While getting off a t2 Void Contract can be useful, most combo decks either run duplicates of cards (such as in APM priest) or just don't have that many cards needed for the combo (like for Maly druid, the only necessary card is just Malygos, there are three other enablers in the deck and the chance to burn either Malygos or the three enablers still isn't that likely).
The inconsistency also appears in terms of drawing it in the proper match ups. Either you want both of them or neither since neither are strong by themselves. If you run 2 copies of both, then it means that 4 of the 30 cards in your deck are essentially worthless draws. On the flip side, you need both Bloodbloom and Void Contract in order for it to be useful. Compare this to another card, such as Skulking Geist, which consistently slows down combo decks if not completely ruin the combo or Rin, the First Disciple, which not only is it useful against combo decks if you can get it fast enough, but it's also useful in control decks.
Burning combo pieces isn't even great sometimes as since you are a warlock, chances are you will be drawing more and bringing yourself closer to fatigue faster. Control warlock still needs a way to close out games other than just burning the opponent's win conditions and unfortunately, due to Void Contract not showing what it burned, you can't even get your opponents to be dumb and concede when a combo piece is burned instead of playing it out.
There is just better, more reliable options that don't rely on multiple cards to be useful.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
The reason demonic project warlock was played so much at first was because Mecha'thun was running rampant and people were still having Shudderwock pangs. It overall just fit the meta at the time.
It's very rare you'll run into a combo deck now. I've played around with Void Contract, in fact toyed with TWO Void Contracts. It's not bad, but you are left with the feeling that you could be playing a much more different, and better deck. It also doesn't help that the void contract animation isn't particularly thrilling, and it doesn't straight up tell you what you killed the moment you use it.

cause Void Contract is garbage
Defile, Doomsayer, Hellfire, Stonehill Defender, Despicable Dreadlord, Lesser Amethyst Spellstone, Shadow Bolt, Skull of the Man'ari+ Voidlord, Lord Godfrey, Rotten Applebaum, Shroom Brewer.
Ok then.

Look at my first post. I never said I would use it. I was one of those people, who downgraded it in the reveal thread.
