So I had some time on my hands today and wanted to experiment a bit with my new personal Flavorite card (pun intended) Hakkar, the Soulflayer. Obviously im playing a rather slow deck. Got exactly 30 Games played through the day and 14 of those against hunters.
Even though It's being a bit annoying I don't want to complain, since i managed to adapt my playstyle to them better. Much more it brings me to my intend to post.
In my opinion it has valid power play options in any stage of the game. Hunter has always been strong in the early game, thx to DK Rexxar they have a decent way to keep up in mid to endgame. And the "If-All-Else-Fail-Move" as a last hail mary is a simply amazing new Hero card which gives you an insane amount of value and it doesn't even take much cards to build around those two cards either.
Is Hunter that easy to play? Or is it so strong? I'm aware that Pally is on the top of the list on the front page right now, still makes me wonder why so many people play hunter.
Hunter is just a really strong class right now. Spell hunter is strong, deathrattle hunter is still pretty strong, Zul'jin is a great finisher and DK rexxar literally beats any control decks by itself. These decks also aren't the most difficult to play and have been around for a while so iti's not like people need to learn a whole new deck just to be good with it.

I don't have something witty about this deck, I just like it because Malygos is fun.
I meet loads of hunters too. Teched in anti secret and considering Bring it on! since it screws spell hunter. My dragon warrior is performing reasonably against em though
Hunters from rank 20 to high legend. Literally everywhere. This is probably the worst meta right now as it consists of one class. (Of course there are others, but hunter is played over 50% in all matches right now)
Not worth playing ranked right now. even when playing hunter yourself. Mirror matches like 80% of the time. Not fun.
Worst thing is You can't play around anything, most of their cards are discover so there's no point in counting # of cards they played. DK is too cheap and it has one of the strongest battlecries since at t6 it's almost always a full board clear.
Wandering Monster is overstatted and infuriating to play against too, not enough bad 3 drops in game and stupid RNG can lost game on turn 2 instantly when it rolls blademaster or mukla.

This is what I was about to respond with. Counterplay is just really low. Rexar discovers are all discovers so WHO KNOWS. Zuljin will almost always wreck you (and there is no downside). They even have way too many ways to activate deathrattles -- which historically have always been balanced around the fact that you can counter them (compared to battlecries).
It has a very simple reason, you can play the deck with only 1 addition from rastakhan. That's why I play it. Until the meta shapes and I know which decks I'm gonna craft. Not everyone has the money to buy card packs you know?
Let's stay a bit objective at least. Without setting it up Rexxar's battlecry is almost never a full boardclear. Turn 6 or later on nearly everything has more than 2 health. Even the paladin dudes are buffed by that time.

No it is not and while I can see how Rexxar is infinite value, you also have to pay full mana. If you play DK on curve, T6, you hero power next turn, and then the turn after that, you can play your zombeast.
DK+Zuljin+Rhokdelar is infinite value, hand refill AND full board+Secrets.
As a Hunter main, I feel my opponents pain. However, I also think nerfing Zuljin will hurt Hunter after rotation when Hunter loses DK Rexxar and Rhokdelar. I also believe a lot of core pieces to DR/Egg Hunter will be rotated.
Depending on what next xpacs bring, Hunters prevalence might die down a bit. It isn't fair that one or two classes should dominate. All classes AND archetypes should have their place in the metagame.
You don't see as much above rank 5. There are more Odd / Even decks and Kingsbane. Hunter is not that hard to beat with any of those decks either. Odd rogue is my pick. I used Muzzy's list from Esports Superstars and went about 78% winrate to Legend.

Piloted Shredder, Knife Juggler, Mad Scientist, Dr. Boom
Need to be removed from this game

you'll be one of them, sooner or later...
