It is worse for them, really! A long, suffocating loss feels way worse than an grindy win.
Players are very different in this regard! I actually lost as Control Warrior vs old school freeze mage once. I guess that win was worth a lot to him, considered I was a ~95% favourite! Some players go to great lengths to experience those moments!
There is no 100% sure lost in HS. Same pro got pwn at rank 25 from newbie with basic card deck before, so...... If you play any meta decks your worse matchup maybe at worse you have like 10-20% chance to win. It still better than 0% chance to win if you hit that Concede button
I play all sorts of decks, first , I want to know them inside out when I play them or against them. I rotate 3 to 4 decks when on the meta. It's...less boring and climbing is not an objective anymore it all about analysis, strategy and deck tweaking. Now what is really confusing lately is the strange behaviour of many players. Example: When I encounter too many druids and warriors I pull out my Mecha'thun priest deck. Against them it's auto-win apart some of the few matches (out of dozens) I lost. They can do whatever they want, I win. ALL of them know this priest deck and they all know it's a guaranteed loss. So why do they keep going on? In the dozens I encounter only one conceded. Seriously? Concede guys!! That's what I do and I move on to the next match...JEEEZ!!!
People playing competitively in a competitive enviroment, what a twist
I wish there were more mecha'thun players on ladder with such a confidence about their 100% wr against control decks. Feels so damn good to watch their bm and roping, and before their last turn show them a counter card you had in hand all this time.

i think its more like you know that you expect they know exactly what you are playing, and you know that you think they know the chances of winning. and even so, why should you be angry about them wanting to play a game?

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Never insta-concede because there's always a fair chance that your opponent is gonna make several missplays...
I had 2 games like that this morning :
1. I was playing token Druid and met a Priest, i already knew it was a bad matchup because of the Psychic screams, then realized on turn 3 it was an APM priest after he played Dead Ringer into Loot Hoarder. I've been pretty unlucky on my draws and everytime i managed to get a board, he dealt with it with his AOEs. I knew my only chance to not die was to build a wall the turn before he goes for his combo... In the end, he pulled out his combo while i had only 2 taunts on my side, missed the order, and wasn't finally able to kill me... I won 2 turns later with a Savage Roar on a former Spreading Plague.
2. This time, i was playing a Bomb Huntard and encountered a Baku Rogue. This rogue, omg, this rogue... He had no minions on turn 1, then immediatly started to go face on turn 2 with his weapon while he had Hench-Clan Thug in his hand. He played it the next turn and totally ignored the Whirliglider on my side... From this point, he never traded any of my minions even when it was obviously valuable for him and always went face, he made sooooo much missplays, i can't list them all. I was seriously wondering if he was a bot for playing so badly (added him after the game, but nope, just a regular player). No need to tell who won that game...
I would never concede just because I go up against unfavorable matchups. I've had it in the past where i'm favored in the game but I mulligan like garbage and my opponent has a decent curve. Anything can happen over the course of the game, it's not rock, paper, scissors at the start to see who wins. It's stupid to get mad at someone who actually wants to play the game.
I will play on even in the turn when I know I cannot win. I make my opponent play out her win condition. Every once in awhile you get a disconnect or a screw up or they’re faking and don’t have it. But in any case, I like to play out my win conditions and I appreciate when others let me do so. So I let/make them play out theirs. I’m not climbing to legend or anything, he extra 30 seconds of my time is not a premium.
