I play all sorts of decks, first , I want to know them inside out when I play them or against them. I rotate 3 to 4 decks when on the meta. It's...less boring and climbing is not an objective anymore it all about analysis, strategy and deck tweaking. Now what is really confusing lately is the strange behaviour of many players. Example: When I encounter too many druids and warriors I pull out my Mecha'thun priest deck. Against them it's auto-win apart some of the few matches (out of dozens) I lost. They can do whatever they want, I win. ALL of them know this priest deck and they all know it's a guaranteed loss. So why do they keep going on? In the dozens I encounter only one conceded. Seriously? Concede guys!! That's what I do and I move on to the next match...JEEEZ!!!
Why would anyone ever concede just by seeing their opponents class? First of all it could be any archetype, and there’s no way that any deck from any class has even close to a 100% winrate against every archetype that a class has. Sure, my deck is bad against decks like quest rogue, but I still win a few, and without those stars, I wouldn’t be at my current rank. I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not because there’s so many reasons why this post is retarded. Please say you’re trolling.
I prefer to play my way, even if that means choosing not to concede. There are times when the opponent makes a mistake and I end up winning even in a situation whereby all accounts it was a loss. Had I chosen to concede I would have missed the win.
Seems like the issue here is that you want free wins without playing the game. If you want them to auto concede perhaps you should message them at the start a politely ask them to do so?
Play your way and graciously accept that others will play their way.

Totally agreed. I never concede. And if i loose i will most likely let it happen if it's a cool combo/otk.
What if they play LK and death grip your mechathun? You L O S E. what if they make a board with two branching paths in hand and you have no psychic scream? There are ways to win even if they aren't very likely. You shouldn't play a deck that requires you to play every card in your deck to win if you want quick games.
I take odd warriors to fatigue when i have no way to win all the time. If your win condition is fatigue then we're going to fatigue my friend. Earn that star.
Unfavored is not the same as guaranteed loss. If an opponent wants to fight for a 20% win chance or even a 5% win chance, let them. You signed up for a game of Hearthstone by pressing the Play button, so don't be upset if your opponent expects a game of Hearthstone.
Besides, while a Control Warrior would have a hard time winning, there are several Druid decks that should have a decent chance. Token Druid can create lethal threats from nothing in two turns while Togwaggle, Azalina and Naturalize can mess up your combo.
I win with control warrior vs quest rogue, there is a chance the DK is in the last cards and in this case you can win the value battle if you play your DK in turn 7, it is hard but not impossible.
Won with Big Spell Mage against Shudderwock Shaman multiple times, I play the version with Astromancers and try and tempo them out, literally by playing any and all minions I have...also, you can sometimes get a 5-mana Jaina, that helps quite a bit :D
Won with slow decks against Quest Rogue pretty much the same way, by trying to tempo out whatever minions I had and SMOrc em down. It's tough but it can be done, especially against opponents who are not so good at the deck.
No reason to concede unless I see it's hopeless, and then I sometimes stay just to make the opponent playing those degenerate cards like the rogue quest and shudderwock work for it :P
I faced that deck in casual while playing a meme even hunter deck. I built an Arfus with rush and got death grip out of it which in turn pulled a coffin crasher. Why didn't the priest concede then instead of playing for board when he reached fatigue?
One thing that could be relevant for decks that aren't as easy to pilot is that it's easier for those people to misplay and lose if everyone else concedes at that point and they don't know how to finish the match out. I for one like to try to fight into those matchups and figure out how I can win them just for the challenge of doing it. The biggest example I think would be with Quest Rogue. I remember some video by Firebat where he had a really unfavored matchup against Quest Rogue (even at Legend) but the person didn't play it correctly so Firebat ended up winning.
Si I'm understanding this right. You don't necessarily want to climb (so you don't care about free wins) but you don't want to play some matches that are almost guarantee wins (not fun for you our guess)
So here is the thing, why don't YOU concede and queue a more interesting matchup for you?
Sometimes I just start watching netflix during a game and I take my time with turns. Turns out some people play slow decks and don't have time to play the slow games, so they concede! Free wins for me even though it should have been a free win for them. No remorse.
I was playing Odd Warrior against a Even Mecha'thun Warlock, but I decided to play it out.
He drops his to Galvanizers when he has 1 card left in his deck, so I thought it was over. I play a yolo Azalina Soulthief and it turns out he runs Demonic Project for some reason and Mecha'thun is the only minion left in his hand. So satisfying.
There is a cognitive difference between people who concede early and those who don't. Smarter people are better at predicting their odds of winning or losing.

Cute, ineffective, but cute.
Why don't I just concede? Because you wish it, and it is in my power to deny you.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Always expect the unexpectable!
Because its possible that they mill one of your combo pieces with naturalize while you are trying to draw your entire deck...

Azalina, Togwaggle, Lich King and Warlock can steal/interrupt your combo. And any deck with a minion-healing capacity can mill your important cards.
lol .. stupid a** post

You can't stop the signal.
Well, they probably don't know it's a MechaThun deck. I haven't seen one since Boomsday launch, other than from random generation.

I'd just play for that 5% win chance. If I concede, I have no fun and an actual 0% win chance.
