At 3 years in, I don't think much can help you if you are still struggling to break rank 19. At that point you are still struggling with even the basics. I don't think watching videos is going to help you either. You need to work on learning how to trade minions correctly, how to manage resources and how basic interactions work. Videos can help you refine your play when you are consistently able to reach rank 5, but even the most helpful streamers don't talk about the fundamentals. That knowledge should come to you naturally from experience.
I don't want to sound mean but I think accepting rank 19 or finding a new hobby would be in your best interest right now. Honestly you should be able to reach rank 15 even with a tier 4 deck or mediocre home brew. It's pretty much all player skill until rank 10 or so. In other words, I don't think it's your decks holding you back right now. Eventually you will need a competitive deck to reach legend, but to get rank 15, it shouldn't be that difficult if your play is competent. That much is on you to figure out.

The thing is I can hit rank 15 in wild rn but can’t do it in standard which is what is confusing me.
PS. The zoolock deck is a budget deck so it has no keleseth and I can’t make a kelseth. Malygos Druid DOES NOT have arcane tyrants, Lich King, and Alextrasa.
There are cards that you can cut from a deck and some cards you just can't, Keleseth is not needed but it does make the deck extremely stronger so I would definitely save for that one. Lich king is not a must on maly druid but it does help a lot, Alex on the other hand I would say is core, it allows you to need less combo pieces to burst the opponent and it's crucial against armor classes, also Tyrants are pretty key as well, the deck doesn't run many minions (nor it has time to really do so) so having solid bodies to "cheat out" is pretty nice.
The thing is people understimate how important some cards are and how refined the tier 1 decks are, usually those super top tier meta decks have like 27-30 must have core cards and then some flexible spots so if you can't build those decks card by card is almost better to run something else or brew your own stuff cause maybe you're not experienced enough to see how 1 card is not good enough anymore if you don't run that other card you don't have or that package of cards.
Also I would say the #1 problem I can see with players that can't climb is the fact that they just don't know how to play the different match-ups, they think their deck can only be played one way and has to always win like that, that's specially true for MALY DRUID, people think they always have to win by playing Malygos on 10 and breaking the twig and then swipe swipe moon moon but that's only true in some cases, a lot of games you need alex and others you win by pressure with minions, against aggro you win by running them out of resources with plagues and board clears, so you need to identify the different scenarios and what you could do to win every different game, that's the key to climbing the ladder. Also you need to read the meta, if you play zoo and all you play against is controlock and big spell mage then that's not the correct deck to be laddering with, you are getting hard countered by the stuff you find so you might need to switch things up a bit.

Why is that confusing? Standard has ten times as many players.
I have been playing hearthstone for 3 years and have been bad that entire time. I have made Malygos Druid, Zoolock, cubelock, and midrange hunter. I made the first 2 once booms day came out. Hunter was from the beginning and cubelock was when cube came out. I need help finding out why I can’t climb above rank 19 ever in standard. I tried wild 2 weeks ago and am already rank 17 there. Any tips on how I can get above rank 19 in standard? I can’t make any more decks since well I am a f2p and it takes time to get dust. I could make a few changes to my current decks though.
PS. The zoolock deck is a budget deck so it has no keleseth and I can’t make a kelseth. Malygos Druid DOES NOT have arcane tyrants, Lich King, and Alextrasa.
Sure, u may want to take out Malygos too and see where it goes =)
Don't beat yourself up! I only have time for 30-40 games each month so go from 19 to 15 quickly and comfortably (with full meta decks) and then return. Hearthstone is old enough that there'll be lots of people you once played a lot and still have the decks/dust but don't have the time for higher ranks.
The game it's not about playing metadecks... It's about finding which type of deck better suits you. (eg: I'm really bad playing aggro and I don't like it, so I'll never play it even if it's the worst).
I would start understanding which way to play is better for you, then looking up some deck that might fit, and even creating your own deck that has a similar concept.
im frequently a Rank 5 or higher Rank every season and reached Legend before.
I would say if you cant get past 19 it means you lack knowledge how to trade/play around/control the most efficient way.
And its also about researching decks the meta and specially knowing which deck you play against. If you know all these to mulligan right gets easier and you should rank up pretty quickly.

So why don’t you play Wild then? It is much more friendly for f2p players and is much more comfortable to climb, at least till ranks 15-10. Has wider variety of decks and cards to choose from. Ofc there are cancer cards, which can drive you crazy, but standard has them as well. I’ve been playing hs for a year and tried wild at the end of the last season with even shaman and could easily beat my own standard record. And now I’m thinking to move completely to the wild and craft some local tier 1 decks.
I want to echo what wurstvirtuos and ColinthePyro said. I started playing 7 months ago, I'm no longer F2P but I was until just a couple months ago. I'm currently reaching rank 5 every month (going to legend is not worth the time commitment IMO), here is how my progression went:
I was able to reach rank 20 with basic cards + the cards I got from Karazan (when it was still in standard).
I was able to reach rank 15 with a hybrid secret/midrange hunter I put together myself through experimentation and watching other streamers, Emerald Spellstone + Highmane package should be able to carry you to rank 15 (midrange hunter is probably the cheapest way to climb ladder, it's never tier 1 but consistently decent regardless of meta).
Past rank 15 you probably want something resembling tier 1-2 decks. I'm still missing some core cards for both of the decks I use to climb, I improvise what I have and see how it works, changing it depending on the meta.
Most-important thing for climbing is you have to know your deck really well, and you have to know the opponent's deck well (comes from playing against them enough times). At every turn you have to ask yourself these 2 questions:
What's the ugliest board state I can create for my opponent (making him overuse his resources for dealing with it or misplay)?
Is there a trap he's waiting for me to play into (defile, spreading plague, silence, etc.)? Can I lure him into using it prematurely so he has no resources to take care of my real threat?
I used to have a friend whom we climbed ladder together with, which helped a lot. You can point out these traps to each other more easily and your deck knowledge is likely to be complimentary. For example, he used to play Priest a lot and would warn me in advance when I'd be playing into Duskbreaker, something I was oblivious to myself. Likewise, I was similarly able to see when he'd open himself up to something like Unleash the Hounds + Scavenging Hyena play. However, this advice isn't yet relevant at rank 19, where you still see a lot of homebrew decks and even players with netdecks don't know how to play them yet. At rank 15 or below, however, it will start to become useful.
Rank 19 in standard is like trash-tier legend, but you need to figure out what breaks the rank meta. I put together a home-made odd big mage and made it out past rank 15 because no one had any idea what they were playing against, and it beat zoo.
I have been playing hearthstone for 3 years and have been bad that entire time.
Hi Arjun. Do not listen to the jerks in here that are saying wow, you must be bad, just quit the game. The best way to get better at ANYTHING in life is to acknowledge your shortcomings and ask for help.
If you are stuck at rank 19, then chances are that you are simply approaching the game wrong. You need to sit with someone who can explain how to properly think about each turn. I know another kind soul in here did the same, but I will send you a private message. I get to rank 5 every month and have gotten to legend before. I would be happy to take a few hours and work with you help you better understand how to approach and analyze each turn.
You should posterino your decklists, battletag and server. We can help you make sure your decklists are the best they can be with your limited collection and contact you for coaching. If you're on EU, I'm more than happy to add my name to the pile who are volunteering :P
Its simple, you are bad at the game. Playing for 3 years doesnt automatically make you better or maybe you are not that smart.
I hit rank5 40 days after I installed HS for the first time. You play 3 years, rank19? Wow.
AmnesiaSC hit legend f2p 1 week after he installed HS for the first time. You play 40 days, only rank 5? Wow, you're bad. Newsflash: tons of people have reached higher ranks in shorter times. You're not special. We're just not bragging about it in bold text and putting down others for it because it's unbecoming to act like 12 year olds, even on the internet

If you are interested I could coach you!:)
Let me know!
I think it should be noted it can go the other way as well, I was excellent at control, my learning curve was when to be the aggressor. I'm also 5-L

I disagree with this, I was great at control, but my floor (under the old system mind you) was rank 8. I got to legend when I learned when and how to be the aggro, and also have even more finesse with control (like holding board clears extra turns). I think you can get to legend with just being good at "aggro" or just being good at "control" but it's a grind. You need excellent ability on both sides to not waste a bunch of time grinding to legend.

would this even be remotely possible by a top gamer today?
Disenchant some garbage cards you have and try to build a complete tier 1 deck, which you like to play over months. I would go for the druid deck. You need the Arcane Tyrant, but you can play other cards instead of The Lich King and Alexstrasza. Maybe you have toggwaggle and azalina - so you can swap them.
Is that beneficial though? My advice would honestly be to either craft a strong aggro deck (slow decks don't work at lower ranks) or to play an average deck and learn to master it. In my honest opinion, building the strongest Tier 1 deck doesn't really help people improve, it genuinely allows for mistakes and your sloppy plays never improve. I've seen a whole bunch of streamers climb with non-existent awful F2P decks just to prove this point.

Midrange Hunter w/ the spellstone should be more than enough to carry you to at least 15, I would just fully commit to it

What do you mean by "trash-tier legend"?
People Netdecking in rank 20-15 ?
wow I didn't know that ...
Malygos Druid is slow for climbing the ladder but very powerful so you have to be patient ..
you need Arcane tyrent , Alextraza and maybe twig of tree .
Dont craft Lich king this deck performs better without him I got Legend in the last 4 seasons now I'm in rank 3 i can post my deck if you want ..
It depends on u and your mindgames with ur opponent, i reached from r20 to 15 with only whizbang decks
