It's actually really good, but it's sooooooooooooooooooooooo boring to play. Just another Midrange play-on-curve deck that doesn't require a lot of decisions or brain to play...
Says the guy with a year and a half old Face Hunter OTK deck in his sig...
I actually think it's kind of fun now. The games where you can't get there against control and have to switch to a Hagatha value plan are pretty interesting. And then there's Arcane Dynamo intrigue: I had a game yesterday where I drew an extra copy of it with Elementary Reaction and ended up with three copies of The Storm Bringer! I mean, who doesn't wanna roll a bunch of tokens and 2-cost minions into random legendaries over and over again?
No idea, I think it's a really solid deck. 75% win rate vs zoo for me. Maybe not many people have Kalimos and Al'akir...
I remember people advising to DE Al'akir on this very site because he wasn't played at the time. The response that he was bound to return at some point was dismissed, that wouldn't happen and people should just DE him.
Guess many followed that wonderfull advise to DE a decent classic legendary.
Even shaman tries to flood the board with tokens, something odd paladin does better. Doesn't mean even shaman is bad, there are just easier ways to accomplish the same goal.

I was still trying to make him work pre-Genn when Shaman was in the dumpster! The Corpsetaker synergy was evident the moment the card came out; it was just a matter of finding enough support. Genn and Earthen Might have certainly helped a great deal.
I love Even shaman. It's what i've been using to ladder recently. For some reason it isn't used that much but it's really good in the meta right now. It has a good win rate against almost every aggro deck too (Zoolock, tempo mage, and now since boomsday it has a positive WR against Odd pally).
As for how it plays, it is a pretty simple deck but I have fun with it. the positional board building is fun, flametongue totem.
Surprised Cryostasis doesn't see more play. 3/5 with taunt, spell damage or boardwide heals by turn 2. That would spice the deck up I assume.
I've played around with it, it can be really nice turn 2 play but the +2/2 spell lets you attack on the same turn so it is much better later on for trades or a charge minion.
Lol I guess the deck really is unpopular even if I don't get why.
Even this thread is not popular at all. Noone cares about poor even shaman xD
WTF? I care dude, I've posted yesterday smth about Even shaman, a list I made it far ranked now (from 5 to rank 2) and I will keep playin with this deck I made it for fun but now I'm seein that is strong in ladder now. Even against big treats like Big Mage and Druids in general.
I'm no legend player, but I crafted Al'Akir the Windlord late last night because I've always wanted to play the deck but didn't due to not having that legendary. Only played one game so far, but it was against a MalyFloop combo druid. He had to spend so many of his damage spells to keep me from going off with the Bloodlust I discovered from Arcane Dynamo that he couldn't kill me when he finally got both Maly and the Floop copy on board.
The funniest thing is... even though there are only four five 5+ mana spells in Shaman, I didn't get Bloodlust off the Dynamo discover. I think I picked The Storm Bringer. I just never played it and tried building a wide board to give the threat of Bloodlust. Not quite as lethal, but perhaps still worth keeping the board clear even if he knew it was the legendary spell.
Maybe my opponent didn't know to just leave the board alone and save his Swipe and Moonfire spells, but bottom line: if I can beat combo Druid decks with Even Shaman, I'll be playing a lot more of it.
Odd is the Shaman deck that gets to pick their totems (and usually racks up lots of spell power) Even just gets a discount to 1 mana totems.

Dusting classic (or any set, really) legendaries is so stupid.

I "even" made a post about the subject - https://www.hearthpwn.com/forums/innkeeper-feedback-forums/innkeeper-feedback-support/222441-giant-shaman-sharing-a-list

Nice to see that some people actually play the deck, but still I don't find those people on ladder xD
I played around with the deck (at rank 5) but I don't have the sea giants and kalimos... They seem pretty important to me :/
Top deck is cheat
