The deck is a bit hit or miss, but my version is still very crude and i can only be scared of what can happen if someone with more time and/or skill builds a refined version.
What i want to get to is... after so many OtK decks having been nerfed, they keep giving us tools for new ones, what's the plan here?
I too realized this boost, but Rogue struggles way too hard to survive to make it worth it in my opinion. I don't expect a refined list to be higher than top of tier 3.
Back to the topic - I didn't mean drawing the minions, but rather the other important cards (the burst), the Elven Minstrel himself. It won't hurt if you add more cycle.
I also edited the post for a third time. I asked you if there is a need for the DK and the rogue equivalent of ice block.

Well, there is plenty of burn in the deck and you need any 3 spells so that's rarely a problem. Evasion was... mediocre when i tried it. Unless you follow it up specifically with Vanish it leads to boards you cannot recover from.
As for the DK, i am not 100% certain, but i fear it can lead to the Kobold summoning it's copy instead of Malygos.
Regarding the burn - true, but this still requires a lot of cards. Let's say you already have the kobold, maly and weapon combo in hand. In order to burn the opponent, you need 4 cards (3 from burst and another one to kill the illusionist). So 7 cards in general and attacking with the weapon beforehand. I don't play any combo decks, yet alone Maly Rogue (I might give it a try though), but imho it won't hurt if you add a bit more cycle into the deck.
Because you have to survive until you find all the pieces. Against control or combo you won't have a bad time. You just need to cycle faster before they do. But against aggro and mid-range and since you don't have another win-condition, I personally think that teching at least one Evasion wouldn't be that bad.
As for Valeera the Hollow - yeah, I forgot that she can screw you over. Honestly I have been thinking about this before, but yesterday I wrote this comment in the small hours and don't expect from me thinking wisely at this time of the night.
I was messing with a rogue OtK deck before TBP, and thought i'd see if this set made it any better, and boy did it!
The idea is to get 2 Malygoses (maligi?) off of a Kobold Illusionist and go off, which used to require Spiritsinger Umbra, making it an 8 mana combo, but now with Necrium Blade... things can get out of hand too fast.

I think it's time to finally craft the goose. Deck list?

This space is intentionally blank.
Can't edit for some reason

Cool deck.
[edit] I knew that Kobold Illusionist was going to be used with Malygos some day. We just needed to wait 2 expansions.
Stupid questions - have you considered adding more draws into the deck like Sprint or Myra's Unstable Element? Valeera the Hollow? The rogue Ice Block secrets?
I tried that when i wanted to play more minions. As it is, drawing one minstrel leads to getting the full combo.
Edit: love your signature!
Thanks. <3

only missing the goose... hmm, might have to craft her. looks like she may see a lot of play.

Or at least adding Evasion instead of the second Shadowstep.
