I'm starting to get back in to Hearthstone after a couple-year break. I last peaked at around Rank 2 or 3. Due to all the new cards, I didn't have a whole lot to really craft for Standard, but was able to scrounge together a zoolock deck:
I seem to be struggling a bit with it though. I went from 25 up to 15 really damn quick, and now can't seem to get past that. I'll drop down to ~17, back up to 16, down to 18, up to 15, etc. Not really sure what it is that I'm doing, considering I've seen multiple people that have gotten to ~5 and beyond with this exact deck.
I'd remove the egg package, it's too slow. I'd go for demon synergy and the neutral package. Egg is your only 3 drop so cut that, reveler and ratcatcher and put in duskbats and vicious fledglings. If you have the sea giants those are great since you flood the board. Add Doomguard as a finisher or board control and finally Bloodreaver Gul'dan would be the best upgrade to revive your demons.
I question Duskbat. You dont seem to have any easy way to take damage during your turn other than your hero power. That would have to be on turn 5 or later. The 2/4 and two 1/1's on turn 6 will be pretty useless against most decks.
Your card collection is private or you dont have innkeeper installed. You should make your collection public so people can look at it when discussing deck questions. Install Innkeeper if you havent, then click on My Collection is your Hearthpwn settings. Then click Edit Collection, slide the toggle from private to public, and then click the Save Collection button. This will help others give good advice based on what cards you have.
There are 'ranked floors' on 20/15/10/5. From there you can't drop lower.
Ehm, yes you can drop. Those floors r only for the end of the month treasure chest reward, that you cannot lose, even if you lose rank, but you can most certainly drop from R5 back to R20.
Nvm, apparently i was wrong and you were right. I apologize. Damn i havent play ranked in a long time then.
Zoo is pretty simple most times, but you need to know when to fight for board and when to go face. Like against Cube or Control Warlock you jam face and try to piece together enough damage where you can use a Spellbreaker to get through taunts and kill them and against Paladin you are fighting for board most of the game and relying on chip damage to eventually beat them out.

how are you going from 15 to 18? :|
Thanks for the tips. So something like this perhaps?
That's my point. Not sure what I'm doing wrong lol. I should be able to sleep through these ranks, but am going backwards.
looks much better, if your 5 drop slot gets too clunky you can replace 1 fungal for a tar creeper. good luck laddering :)

Oh, just noticed my typo. I've peaked at 16, not 15. Still on my first cup of coffee :D

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
Oh cool, didn't even know that existed. Lots has changed since I played last!

I hit legend last season with this variant of Zoo.
