It does seem weird that Warrior's "class mechanic" (if you can call it that) is so under-represented, when Druids have however many Choose Ones and Rogues with their Combos. They even gave Warrior a dk that should make enrage playable or even tier 1, but they never printed any cards to support it. Maybe we'll see more of it in the next year. I'd be quite surprised if they didn't add to that, actually.

It's probably not good in this meta, but I made a cheap Enrage deck a while back that was seeing surprising success. You could add Grommash or Leeroy or something of a finisher, but I didn't feel like it helped the deck since they sat in your hand for so long.
What I find the weirdest is that there's still an enrage daily quest even though so few enrage cards exist at all. The quest is especially bothersome for beginners as 3/9 enrage cards are in Wild, will be going to wild shortly or are of legendary rarity.

On the third day before Witchwood, Blizzard gave to me,
Well they synergize with enrage, but they also synergize with the cards that activate when they take damage (acolyte of Pain, Rotface, ect.), which is mostly where Blizzard has taken the enrage mechanic because it allows for more value and generally more interesting design.
The only thing stopping a warrior enrage deck is Blizzard not printing them quality minions with enrage. Most enrage minions are understatted by itself, or at least statted the same as a vanilla minion. You usually then have to spend another card or some mana to have them lose at least one health on top of that to even trigger the enrage effect, meaning they are even weaker in stats. By this point you are so far behind in mana and/or cards, you were better off just playing a vanilla minion instead.
Also, with the exception of Rotface and Grommash, most enrage minions are low-cost minions, meaning they generally have low health, which in turn means it's more difficult to pull off the enrage. Get some more high-health-for-mana-cost minions like Bloodhoof Brave and enrage will work.

There's more. They scrapped the keyword though a long time ago, probably because it limits the mechanic a little. Go to your collection and search "damaged" or "survives" and you'll find a lot more cards like RotfaceFrothing Berserker and Grim Patron
The "whenever this minion takes/survives damage" mechanic fills mostly the same role, but I agree that a few more decent Enrage cards would be really cool
Bloodhoof was played on its release and it's still a pretty good card. Other than that the Enrage mechanic is just boring and hasn't been innovated in years. It's just bonus stats when damaged. Can't really do much with that.
"Enrage effects become active whenever the minion's current Health is below their current maximum Health. Restoring a minion to full Health will cancel the Enrage. This can occur through healing the minion, or by reducing their maximum Health so that they are no longer considered 'damaged'.
Enrage effects may be active or inactive. While active, their effects are constant, and will not be re-applied by further damaging the minion. De-activating an Enrage effect will immediately cancel its effects.
Enrage effects are sometimes confused with triggered effects which activate on damage, such as that of Gurubashi Berserker or Frothing Berserker. Unlike Enrage effects, these effects can be triggered repeatedly, and will not be removed by healing the minion."

You are correct. Also do not forget cards like like Tar Creeper and Tar Lurker. They act like enrage minions but better as they don't require any activation and are taking the place of enrage minions.

Thank you for the Hearthstone lesson Captain Obvious.
I think most of us knew what you just posted, and pretty sure all but one of us understood why the two effects tend to get lumped together as one.

Enrage mostly disappeared as a key word long ago, but as others have already mentioned it more or less still exists in minions that activate upon taking damage.
There are, what, 9 enrage cards in this game? Three of them - Grommash Hellscream, Bloodhoof Brave, Amani Berserker - see play. A few others are draftable in arena.
The entire Warrior classic kit and many of his newer cards are built to synergize with enrage minions. Why are there so few of them?
It was never a thing
Does Amani Berserker even see play? Haha.

On the third day before Witchwood, Blizzard gave to me,
three Handlock decks,
two Molten Giants
and a winstreak to Legend Rank #3
Disclaimer: This is a fictional poem and this didn't actually happen to me.

Why does Vicious Fledgling exist
But it is entirely ridiculous that more Lifesteal cards exist than Enrage cards.

Depending on the severity of my losing streak, I can very much assure you that nerd-rage is very much alive...
Golden Hero Collections thus far; -
Europe: Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior (9/9)
Americas: Druid, Mage, Paladin Shaman (4/9)

I tried having fun once. It was awful.
Guys, please, the "whenever this minion takes/survives damage" mechanic (from cards like Grim Patron and Rotface) works notably different than enrage:

I love that enrage quest. One of the few that involves putting together a complete trash deck and losing 2 games in casual just to get it done.
