Fairly new player & just looking for some advice on what to do moving forward. I want dust to make a few decks but I'm not sure if I should finish trying to get classic cards first or if I should concentrate on getting more cards from the most recent expansion? Or get cards from an older expansion because they will cycle out soon? Any advice would be appreciated!

Dont buy or craft anything at all until the next expansion. ALL THE DECKS you might see now and like will possibly vanish at that time. Just make your daily quests and chill irl
Make one cheap deck To grind and learn to play this deck perfectly. Look Fungalmancer Warlock, its around 1700 dust, very Good to start with. Grind much ad possible in rank to get awards at The end of month. Focus clasics>kobolds>frozen, cause classic stays, others will rotate every 2 years. Watch pro's on YT and just play as much as u can. Hope so id help u a bit. See you in game!
he is new to the game i mean i dont play wild but isnt it theoretically better to play standard
It's a long run/short run question but it's a decision better made early.
Getting into Wild is harder and takes longer/more investment but it saves investment in the long run: You need more older stuff that can't be opened anymore but your cards will never be outdated and lose 3/4th of their worth for you.
Getting into Standard is easier early as you can get all the cards from packs and are not forced to craft so many cards. But in the long run, there is a constant loss of value by cards rotating out of Standard and you can't as easily stick to a deck.
So Standard= lower upfront investment, higher long term maintaining, Wild= higher upfront investment, lower long term maintaining.
Wild is especially nice, if you like to stick to a single/few decks/classes, Standard is better if you like to switch a lot and play different stuff.
If you want to go Standard, crafting and opening Classic is a good start as those cards will always be the foundation of Standard. For Wild you can get basically whatever you want as everything has equal value as it's meant to stay legal forever(and you probably get refunded if they change that one)
Cause thats how he see other good decks and choose which one want to craft. I make rank 5 every month since i playd First time nad get a lot of dust from golden epics.
Mainly go for the classic set for the most part. But, I'd also recommend first getting up to 10 K&C packs - For the most recent expansion, you're guaranteed at least 1 legendary within your first 10 packs

It's also a decision, whether you want many, drastic meta changes (standard) or whether you want a rather slowly evolving meta (wild).

In this game, the meta is constantly shifting. A deck that is good today may not be so good a month from now; something else may emerge to take its place. This especially holds true after a new expansions is released (or nerfs, or Hall of Fame).
I would focus on Classic card sets. Or you could open one of the newer expansions for every four or five Classic packs you open. But until you have most of your commons, rares, and epics and a few legendaries from Classic, I would focus mostly or entirely on Classic. You could also set aside 100 gold for every few packs you open to be used toward the next expansion.
As for which decks and legendaries to craft, that will change over time. As you play, you may develop a preference for certain classes or certain decks. Focus on Standard for now. Trying to tackle every set of cards (including Wild) as a new player would be overwhelming.
At first, the game can seem daunting You don't have to make any decisions now. Start with the Classics; that will take you awhile to collect, and they will serve you well in both Standard and Wild while you play. Sometimes in the weekly Tavern Brawl, they will throw in Wild cards and you'll get to play with cards that are not in your usual decks. Just have fun with it and see what you enjoy playing. I play all of the classes myself. And I play both Standard and Wild (but that takes awhile, to collect all of those cards).
Good luck, take your time, and have fun.
