I dont think that there will ever be a meta that is not "toxic" because anything that beats you is "toxic" in the eye of the person that loses to it. The difference is that mondern decks take longer than pirate warrior.
For me...I stoped to use RL money when they turned the game into "hey, lets release 3 bigs sets a year (with 90% trashcards that you cant use) and remove the cheep PvE Addon that gives you 1-3 legendarys per wing". I still have problems to understand why people defend blizzard here.
Gone) 700g wing gave you 1-2 legendarys (finished the whole set with all legendarys for 25$)
New) Blizzard does give you 1 guaranteed legendary in the first 10 packs and the next one is to be guaranteed in the next 40 packs. To get the full set you need to buy packs for about 300-400$ (that is what streamers do)
I've big problems to find the words to explain what i think about people that say " well, they give you some free packs, a free legendary and gold before the release.... mkay....", because this is STILL far worse than what we had before

I think there is just a general animosity towards the game's meta constantly boiling down to 1-2 control decks that have impossible amounts of value and always win the long game and then 2-3 aggro decks that make it completely unfun to play any constructed gametype because 80% of your opponents just smorc and refuse to acknowledge you're even playing cards.
There's just so many cards that are just plain bad and as much as Blizzard likes to make it seem like they're promoting the memes it's really about generating a meta that is disgustingly stale as soon as possible so that players don't rage when their obscenely expensive deck crafting costs are laid to waste because people with real deck making skill shift the meta before they can cash in on their hard-paid-for win.

You people just need to chill. We're at the end of set rotation. Unless K&C actually gave us a full set of moronically broken cards like MSOG did(it wasn't even too far off), it would obviously have the least impact on the meta of any set so far, as it needs to compete with 5(FIVE) other sets that were released before it. So obviously the emta is going to get stale faster than it did before. If they overdid it more than they did, you would still see people complaining about K&C cards still rulling the meta, kind of what they do with patches and jades right now.
But yeah, I agree the game has become a bit too polarized in the control vs aggro argument. As much as I dislike midrange decks conceptually(playing stuff on curve and making obvious trades is easily the most boring way of playing this game) I think it's time they get a slight resurgence.
To be clear, currently raza is not scheduled to rotate out until at least november of 2018 (if not later)
Standard retains the last 2 years of expansions. Raza was released November 2016.
I'm saying November (or later) is too long to wait!
Seems weird to boycott spending money on the game when you have no clue how it works.
Although with an ignorant post like this im not surprised. Raza has been in the game for quite a while, and Anduin is the main offender. People were't complaining about reno priest.
Maybe look into how rotations work before you complain about them needing to change them? Hilarious that you're petitioning blizzard to do something they are already doing.

Both cards are fine in isolation(Anduin is powerful enough to see play in decks even without raza, but I don't think he will be a must include by any means, and certainly not a fucking win condition), it's the combination of the two that is broken, similar to the old force of nature+savage roar combo.

well, they are somehow there to "balance" the game.
You somehow need your high mana 1/1 with battlecry to balance evolve, just like you somehow need the 4 mana 7/7. I would say that there are better ways to do it and that they could do a better job... but in the end it all comes down to the RNG cards. Keywords like Discover are good... and if any card you get would be good as well, then people would only play Discover cards.
But i really dont think that the way they do it is right, because HS has become to expensive in my eyes. It is not that i cant pay... i just refuse to pay over 1200€ per year for a card game (at that point i wouldnt even have all cards... not to speak about the gold versions).
Srsly..even the pro players (that play this game like it is their life) cant afford to play 100% golden decks.... that is what realy concerns me, because when i see people play only gold cards it makes me wonder why they took the HS cards over a porsche

And we had that combo for quite a while. We also had reno+kazakus in the same deck. That's the beauty of a rotation, we don't have to deal with these things forever.
Now if you want to talk about wild that's completely different, but it's actually fun to have broken combination of cards once in a while.
My main point was that this thread is all about raza, when raza is only part of the deck and shouldn't really get blamed for it. Anduin is a much stronger standalone card than raza. Doesn't really matter, this thread is a joke anyhow.
Did they change the rotation parameters at some point?
**EDIT BELOW**
Ok.. apparently they did change the parameters at some point, I was sure I'd heard it explained how I wrote it above and so I looked it up: Ben Brode explains Standard
Sure enough: "last 2 years of expansion + basic + classic"

Nov. 2016 to April 2018 does NOT equal 2 years.
Ok show us some matches in which the way you said the rotation works was in place.
He means last 2 full years from when they do the rotation. We only have rotations at the first expansion of the year, in which only the last 2 full years of expansions are contained.
But if you want to make more petitions go for it. I'll get my popcorn ready.

ya... and there was a discrepancy between what he actually said (words out of his mouth) and what he *apparently* meant.

Apparently raza is rotating out first thing this year
sweet
So, 3 months then?
I was probably just gonna live off my dust and gold reserves anyway, so sure. . . why not make it an empty gesture?

I'm just not spending a penny more. No point really.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Nobody cares bro.

I haven't spent a cent on this game since they announced the rotation, you should have done the same.
peace

Wierd.. I could have sworn standard was:
Basic + Classic + Previous 2 years of expansions

I wish you could trade in old sets for more gold/dust. I guess I could dust all the old sets if I reallly wanted too
