Like when is blizzard going to learn to stop giving druids so much mana like its ok at the moment but now they are recreating the exact same problems they were just fixing with druid. Lets give druids a turn 3 weapon that goes off on turn 6 gives us 10 mana or that can potentially loop into stupid amounts of mana by refreshing crystals to do some really insane stuff. Medivh into ultimate infestation will basically be turn 6/7 OTK possible. Which will force the meta to be aggro heavy in case of stupid combos going off in order to rush out druid and the worst part is you cant even remove the weapon without triggering it. Then its buff aggro druid more lets give them the option to draw 2 or buff minions or draw and buff. 1 mana more but perminent buffs than savage roar with alternate option to draw cards. Like druid has not been out of tier 1/2 since the opening expansions they really need to lay off giving druids insanely overpowered card options and clearly not thinking through just how detrimental this can be to the game. I have been one to kinda be like its not that bad it doesnt need this many nerfs. This expansion is screaming beat druid senseless with the nerf stick till you break the nerf stick and its not even out. Like there are several very powerful cards but like litterly the stuff they are giving druid is just down right game breaking. Hey lets get 10 mana by turn 6 and play stupid amounts of stuff like its going out of style. Or just medivh into ultimate infestation turn 7 pull ysaarj and have my opponent litterly scoup because recovering from that is almost impossible.
Yes its early but like we dont even need to see the rest of the set and there are so many ways to break druid already.
Druid can play a 7/7, a 5/5 and a random 10 drop all in one turn on turn 7 if they like. They'll still lose to Shadowreaper Anduin's Battlecry.
Yeah that will clear the board but what do you do when they do it again the very next turn. So you dropped anduin killed medivh the 5/5 and the ysaarj and we will even say some other big minion next turn they drop kun into another 20 mana turn so you get a 7/7 and maybe a double deathwing setup because you just have so many threats you can drop from it i think the weapon is extremely powerful. Plus priest doesnt have nearly the draw that druid has. I feel that currently the set is drastically buffing druid existing decks to make them even more threatening when they just finished trying to reduce the over abundance of druids seeing play. Like we litterly just nerfed druid because it was over powered only to bring back more mechanics to reset that threat level back to a 10 after bringing it down to about an 8.
Jades wont be such an issue. Because they are rotating out and the cards not that broken in jade druid its more the big druid getting pushed over the top and the Aggro druid getting buffed to be even more of a hassle when they are already tier 1. Even the aggro druid buff is not that that bad i think that the twig though is a little over the top with the amount of ways you can break the card. Pushing out Medivh and Kun and Jades will reduce this but there is still alot of potential for this to go over the top by like cast ultimate infestation pop twig play whatever. Its a free ultimate infestation. Note FREE. Ultimate infestation is meta defining good this makes it down right broken.
Also dont get me wrong i love the style and concept of big druid and it being a very good deck. But the problem becomes when it goes from tier 1 to tier S potential. My initial throughts when i first saw the twig were meh its ok the longer i through about the applications of the card the more i feel its going to maybe move jades down to the bottom of tier 1 but push big druid into tier S and branching paths may push aggro druid towards the top of tier 1. Generally the hope of the expansion is that it will mix up the top tier of decks slightly for me the ideal situation would be to see 6 decks with at least 5 different classes really rounding out tier 1. With a reasonably close meta between them and even if it does favor 1 deck that the games vs that deck never really get to the point where the game feels completely unwinnable very often much like playing against highlander priest even if anduin gets out and the priest is at 28 health i still dont feel like the game is over. Usually for it to feel like a lock i have to be less than 15 health or with almost no cards in hand and the priest with a nearly full hand before ill consider the game over because the game very rarely feels like i cant win.
And while currently most of the decks i play do play well vs jade druid and decient vs aggro druid there are games where they get an above average hand or i get a below average opening hand and within 2-3 turns it feels like the game has shifted too much to win. Druid ramp to 5 mana by turn 3 still at 27+ health. Its starting to feel like the game is basically over in most cases and the same goes with aggro druid if they get a decient start and get something behind a crypt lord that just roles a bit out of control it can be an extremely disheartening game very quickly with the i cant come back concept.
Exactly. After Medivh, the Guardian is gone, Twig of the World Tree will be an incredibly difficult card to even use in Standard. So we don't need to nerf Druid because of this.

Remember how druids were able to ramp powerfully, but suffered from really bad card draw? Pre-FrozenThrone meta remembers.
u wot.
And you Druids get a nerf ! And you Priests get a nerf ! And you Rogues get a nerf ! And you Mages get a nerf ! And you....
Just wait for the to-be-released weapon-silencer.....
Yes because Wrath, Wild Growth, Innervate, Nourish, Gadgetzan Auctioneer were all poor card draw mechanics. And before that, Druid had Ancient of Lore and Azure Drake. Druid has never had bad card draw.

Its not even twig or ultimate infestation its both cards in the same rotation.

Lolwut. Play Keleseth on turn 2 or Barnes on 4 and roflstomp them. Quit whining.
After rotation, Twig will allow Maly OTK and will be used in meme decks only. Mark my words.
