Well,I wasnt sure about if there was a issue with ladder until I lost 7 games in a row.Maybe its just me going on a losing streak, bad luck and stuff but I feel something just isnt right.I play at rank 5,trying to push to legend and got 4 but after the maleficent 7 I am back to 5.I will gladly accept some advice for former legends or those who managed to climb this month.Suggestions for decks will also be welcome.I mainly play Keleseth rogue and zoo.(I dont want to join the Priest clown manifest)
From the Priest clowns point of view, keleseth rogue and zoo is the new pirate warrior cancer decks.Just full aggro going face nothing else.
But i have been bouncing to 1 and 2 and then 1 again for hte past week, just untilt and you will do it eventually. And try to counter the meta, play around decks etc.
Oh i guess braindead decks only need t go face nvm Kappa
This may come as a shocker but it's called a balanced meta... As crazy as that seems.
When things are balanced crazy winrates are reduced and become more balanced as well. Your previous 57% is now 51% and that's 100+ more games to reach legend, so the grind feels way way bigger.
Winstreak still happen but there's a lot more back and fourth the last 2 seasons than imho there ever was before. Before KFT I had a 15 game winstreak to legend on my final push. Now I'm lucky to get a 5 game winstreak.
We've got a balanced meta right now, but not based on good card design, it's based on high-rolls. It's the easiest way for blizzard to balance this game, it allows them to chase statistics very easily "Look, nearly 50% winrate, that's balance"....bollocks. Of course there is 'technical balance' if the decks going head to head are either going to mulligan for raza or keleseth, and win or lose based on that. I'll take it over endless pirate warriors, but this meta is long way from perfect. I think needs to revisit their card design from Old Gods and think about why that set was so good. Bouncing from discover RNG to high-rolls based on card draw isn't the answer at all.
And the meta keeps shifting, because people are trying to optimize win rates based on the current meta... This is a good thing, but it doesn't look that way from the skilled player who is not a skilled deck builder and just net decks.
I would almost rather have 7 losses in a row than my current; Win 1, Lose 2, Win 1, Lose 1, Win 3, Lose > Win for next 8 games, then lose 2. Im not exactly sure, but pretty sure that almost 3 hours playing, and I am right where I started.

I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky I wanna free fall, out into nothin' Gonna leave this, world for awhile
You must have the skill to get legend if not you just stagnate at your rank BUT if you don't grind you have no chance however good you are.
With a 55% winrate getting legend is 500 games. even with a 60% win rate (which is very good) you need to play 250 game to reach legend.
don't get hopeless, analyses you match up/play , change deck and/or add the relevant tech and hit the road because no one gets legend without the grind.
30% skill ?:D. I hit legend this months with a winrate over 75% with stats 25-8 from rank 4 and this has nothing to do with a grind. of course you can have a lucky day but I got several similar results over this year which makes me guess that it is a lot more than 30% about skill.
You can be the most skilled player in the world. It doesn't matter if your opponent is playin kalseth on turn 2 in shadowstep ,kalaseth. As well as Barnes on turn 4 in to ysera.
MrPinguin is right what he's sayin. There are just very few matches were skill really matters.
believe it or not: you can beat keleseth shadowstep turn 2 with a lot of decks. The winrate of this deck just goes up a small procentage (not even 5) if Keleseth is played on curve. I heard that there are noobs who directly concede in this scenario, I hope you are not one of them. T4 Barnes into Ysera is btw the worst possible outcome if we are talking about Big Priest :D skill begins with meta knowledge and it matters a lot.
Cancer priest, cancer jade and cancer rogue. All these decks want to highroll in one way or another, are unbeatable when they manage to do it and are braindead as fuck. That's why the climb to legend is harder if you were a good player and easier if you are a scrub.Basically just now i am facing a roping priest who spamms like an imbecile because i dirty rat his raza.I faced the same spamming douchebag in last game and he still spammed because he stole my mediv and nether from a spell he got from lyra.He doesn't find the game so fun now doesnt he?Still i suspect the game to last least 15 minutes more because of his roping.
Basically only bming cancer players defend this shity trinity meta.
In addition to all that other said above, I can say that Highlander Priests matches are also a problem for you grinding, as every match lasts for about 20 minutes. That almost makes me miss the old pirate warrior days.
same, i climb to 3 with 1 start then lost all the way back down to 5 with no stars. and i clawed my way back to 4 with 3 starts. its crazy the grind it takes to get there this month.
at i beat turn 2 kele shadow step because they will be top decking a lot more quickly. what i fee is a turn 5 dragon that gives a stupid elemtental +3 atk and no way to remove it. lol

Well, it looks like a lose streak.
And if in fact it is not, then you should take note of the micrometa, and start adjusting against it.

Legend is like 30% skill and 70% grind.

I don't think so. Did you saw HCT games these days ? It proofs that skill actually matters a lot and that bad plays get finally punished in this meta.
It;s called Balance.
Currently all decks are having roughly the same win percentage ~50% that means you will need a lot more games in order to climb.
