Hey guys!! About myself, I am a budget player, began playing a few months backs and i do own the karazhan adventure. i have enough dust to craft a legendary but i am kinda confused as i have a lot of options.
about my gameplay, i have 4 dks : mage, hunter, paladin and rogue. I push to about rank 14 every season using burn/grind mage and midrange hunter (i like to play for fun and push only in the last week).
Initially i thought of crafting a neutral legendary that would be playable in multiple different decks--------------- such as patches, prince keleseth or n'zoth as these are quite popular. Was kinda leaning towards n'zoth cause i do have the priest quest and i play decks like jade rogue with death rattle cards like jade swarmer etc and it maybe useful in many other decks(atleast thats what i think.)
but then i began thinking about the Dk heros that i don't have which are shaman , warlock, warrior, druid and priest. As i have almost all of the warlock and shaman cards (apart from the legendaries, for shaman i just own white eyes but for warlock i don't own any )
so i am kinda confused as to which legendary i should craft ? should i upgrade my current deck by crafting the neutral ones i mentioned or should i craft the dks and make more decks playable. also it would be nice of u if u guys could mention the specific legendary.
Hi, it depends on which mode you are playing. I don't want to force you playing what you don't like right now, but if you're not playing Wild, you should definitely consider it. It's a lot more fun and from what I cought from your post, you focus mainly on fun. And no, it's not more expensive than Standard. Just consider playing Wild. :)
In that case I would recommend you craftit N'Zoth, because he is just stable legendary with incredible potential and he is also really fun to play. I would definitely not recommend you crafting Shaman and Warrior DKs. They are just not that efficient as for example Druid or Priest DK.
If you're fan of Priest, go for Priest DK, because he is just insane and insanely fun. But you would need Raza too.
If you like playing aggro or tempo decks, Keleseth is safe craft. But he is really unstable, because it highly depends of drawing him early. (but some in Rogue decks it's not that dependant).
Same goes with Patches. If you like playing aggro, Patches is pretty much safe craft, unless you want to play only Standard. Patches is leaving Standard soon and so N'Zoth does. So if you don't want to play Wild, I think you shouldn't craft them, because you're F2P player.
So yeah, I don't even know if I helped at least a little bit, because it's really about what archetype you like to play and what class you play the most..
Anyways good luck with your decisions and have a nice day!
I m currently not playing wild cause i dont have a big collection yet. I mainly play to complete daily quests and get packs... The thing is i wana make decent decks from every class so that i can do quests... Playing the same decks over and over again to grind takes the fun out of the game for me. I do not mind aggro decks.. But i would like to get legendaries that would actually provide value in multiple decks
I am not exactly a f2p player.. I plan on getting the pre release bundle for the next expansion.. I didnt do so for the kft cause i was new and so was not sure if i would like this game enough to continue... Now i am. As for the sets rotating out.. Theres still some time for that. And i'd rather keep the game fun and not worry about that now.
Priest and paladin are kinda too expensive for me as almost every deck requires multiple legendaries in addition to the dk and thats y i dont think ill go for the priest dk as of now. I was leaning on shaman dk cause i have the entire evolve shaman deck.. Just missing the dk. Btw thanks for replying.. I would nt mind playing wild once i have larger collection.
Also i do have some legendaries which i do not use like moroes, ozuruk. Malchazar baron geddon etc... Do you think i should dust them?
Never dust legendaries unless you really hate the cards. I have done it a couple of times and I really regret it. Baron Geddon is a good card in some decks. Really good with frost lich jana. Moroes can be good in token decks. Even ozuruk can be really fun in elemental decks. Safe up your small elementals. Bait out their hard removal then play a huge wall. Not very competitive but good fun. Malchazar is also good fun, but makes you deck slow and clunky. It al depends on what is more important for you. Winning or fun. I prefer fun.
Thank you for replying. Well in my opnion barron geddon is only good if u can draw jaina on time. Also ozruk can be silenced. I have tried them both. These legendaries have found no use in any of my decks since forever and are just lying dead in my collection. Also i dnt have all the cards and i would rather have as many useful cards as possible.
As for the matter of fun, how can i have fun if i cant win? I dnt play ranked much but i do play casuals to win right. As i mentioned i focus on completing quests and getting packs and the quest that provides the max value which is 60 gold has you win with a particular class 5 times. And thats how i can progress in the game and increase my collection. Thats what i wana do.
Hi my advice, don't dust legendary cards, never worth it,unless really shit ones...I am playing since 2015 and I dusted so many leg just make one,and belive me I crafted them back...best tip to get dust is or buying packs or get good at arena....

Well, I think the sooner you'll join Wild, the better it'll be for you. The best cards (such as Sludge Belcher, Piloted Shredder, Azure Drake) are cheap, so you would expand your collection with bunch of commons/rares, which you'd use in variety of decks. But it's of course up to you :)
So I think you're not into control decks, because they are too expensive, that's totally ok, everyone was new in Hearthstone. So I think aggro or some midrange decks are for you. You really won't have Tier 1 decks, but I think it's really about how you play the decks and not what deck you're playing.
But I think most of the ''universal'' cards are commons/rares (such as Bonemare) and Legendaries seem a bit for specific decks. So in Standard you can consider as ''universal'' neutral legendaries Patches the Pirate and Prince Keleseth for aggro, Cairne Bloodhoof, Aya Blackpaw (if you play Jades) and maybe even The Lich King for some Midrange/Control and consider even crafting Leeroy Jenkins as a finishing burst card, because this card will never retire.
And for Wild (if you'd play Wild) there is Sylvanas Windrunner and Dr. Boom. These are really good and can be played absolutely everywhere.
For the dissenchanting. You should be 100% certain you won't play these cards!! Dissenchanting is not good. but... If you don't find yourself playing some heavy elemental decks, you can dissenchant Ozruk, because it's pretty safe dust. I think Moroes is safe for dissenchanting too.. If you don't feel like playing Prince Malchezaar, you probably could dust him too. But definitely don't dissenchant Baron Geddon. He will never rotate out and he can be used in some decks, not to mention he is insane in Elemental Mage with Frost Lich Jaina.
So I hope I helped at least a little bit. Be really careful with dissenchanting cards. Be even more careful with that than with CRAFTING cards, trust me.
Good luck!
thank you so much.. that helped alot. after reading this i am certainly gonna consider giving wild a shot. really helped thanks alot.

Try not to craft any legendaries from the old god set as they are gonna rotate out soon.
most of the powerful legendaries are from mean streets, Aya black paw, patches, raza, and kazakus.
But you should start saving your dust cause next expansion is comin out soon
