I appreciate the effort in making a tech card. I just wish it costed less and with lower stats to account for that.
Not reduced enough where Druid can't get a few Jades out, but enough where they aren't huge by the time you can use it.
Still a decent card though. And I will continue to run it.
For me the major problem is the lack of others targets than jade druid, a lot of good 1 mana spells rotates out, for example, the better secret used by MC, raven idol, arcane blast, PO, etc...
If you have a good chance for remove a least one card from opponent hand this card don't see so much the lost of a slot.

Well even still, jade druid got some really strong tempo cards it seems. I never had a problem running them to fatigue with a control deck and now I can't seem to make it. Ultimate Infestation just shits on me.
Well, i hate this card, it useless in all other matchup I hit the wall when it was topdeck but when i face jade druid, the card always go hiding lolz. I feel like I lost a deckslot just to make sure i dont auto concede vs druid, which is frustrating. The deckslot could be used by much better tech card otherwise.
The issue is not about Skulking Geist being bad... but it's about Druid being super strong right now...
I mean, (Jade) Druid doesn't even need Jade Idol in the deck to win anymore.... They got so many powerful tools it's not funny
Yes... shuffeling jade idol basically only happens from fandral now, and the matchups where shuffeling could make sense, there should be a Geist wating.
However, I could see controldecks live because of this card, but the solution so far seem to be otks, aggro and midrange.
As a control player that often goes to fatigue against jade druid - yes it is an important tech card for that match up and often wins me the game - some jade druid even concede after using it so I don't see where this hade toward skulking geist is coming from? If you play aggro or midrange yes then you should probably not tech this card.
Much better if removed all cost 1 cards, not only spells, this way will work much better because you can play in a midrange deck for tech vs jades and remove the 1 cost drop you don't want to draw anymore in turn 7 or later.
To make things worse, this card was release in the only meta having only 1 deck with crucial 1 cost spells, this card will be much more useful vs freeze mage and Renolock for deal with PO Leeroy combo and Ice lance or secret paladin if you play before MC.
a geist on turn 6 can denay the summons. beside, even if he summons, the geist caps the druid at 6 jades or 7 jades. this alows control decks to deal with the golams and the druid has nothing to do basicly.

priest board clears are like having fun in hearthstone. you think u had enough, and then u get more.
well there are 3 major" faigue brawlers" in the meta or atleast seeing some play: there's control warlock, control/n'zoth paladin and control warrior. control warrior cannot use geist because of shield slams and removing the shield slam makes u vaulnderable in control match ups, but i can deffinitly see paladins and warlocks puting it to use and grinding up our poor jady friend in fatigue.

I play priest & I don't think I've lost to jade druid once since frozen throne released, solely because of geist. They cycle through the deck so fast & just run out of threats. Playing geist essentially starves them of resources late in the game & allows me to out value them. It's definitely made the matchup winnable for me.
i didnt mean that in this way. i meant that puting the geist in your deck with shield slams in it makes a dead card in control match ups. and a dead card is not a something that warriors can afford right now because they can get outvalued easily.

Actually the card turned out better than I expected. I knew jade druid would still be damn strong and Skulking Geist can only help in fatigue matchups. Though I would have never thought that Geist can get wins against jade druid, I have never expected to beat druids with good hands with my control warlock but this card surely helps in beating them.
i know. that means u baicly added a dead card that u can't even play until u found a good shield slam target. this makes the geist as good as a kazakus with 2 of everything in your deck or as close as it gets to that lvl.

Geist is definitely a tool help your matchup against jade druid, but it's also a unique one in relationship to the other tools. Geist forces the druid into an earlier than expected end game, whereas cards like both crawlers and tbk all impact the board immediately. Because of that immediate effect, you made a huge tempo swing. Sometimes to the point the opponent can't overcome it and auto-concedes. Point is, you notice that effect immediately and therefore contribute that win to a specific card.
Geist is probably most similar to any of the secret hate cards. With the secret hate cards, you don't drop it on the first secret but wait until you have lethal to nullify the ice block or a christmas tree of secrets. With geist, you don't drop it turn on turn 6 expecting the jade druid to auto-concede. But in both scenarios, you still have to be able to win the game with your skill and deck. So does geist have an impact, definitely but if you can't get to your end game both secret hate cards and geist won't force auto-concede.

It would beat unguru's jade but now driid doesn't use gadgetzan anymore.

Geist is very situational as a counter.. people who said that Geist is going to counter jades are playing another game

I think the card is much limited.
