Well last season i managed to hit rank 4 by 13 may and i never had any big problems reaching rank 5 in the past but this season something is going on i cant move pass rank 18 playing the last 4 days is so many players started playing again or what?
It happens to pretty much every player. Sometimes you have a season in which you dominate your opponents at the first few days of the month but get a little stuck later on, and the other times you get stuck earlier and manage to climb out of it a lil bit later on.
If I may remind you, Savjz for example climbed to legend at the second or the third day of the month, and this season he was stuck at rank 15 for a day straight. A player of his caliber should be able to consistantly climb fast right? welp, not every month is the same
Just keep on playing or take a break for a day and start with a fresh mind. Sometimes, it's just your bad mood that makes you play worse.

Sticks and Stones may break my bones, but words will send me spiralling into crippling depression.
15-10 is often chancy in the first week or two of a season. Sometimes you hit a pocket where your deck is a good counter-pick to the local meta, and you shoot up. Usually there's some point in there, though, when you flail around even when switching decks, and it feels like all you face are hard counters and god draws.
I feel the meta has gotta much more concentrated, the "let's give this deck a try.." in the expansion is basically over IMO. Quest Rogue, Burn Mage, Pirate Warrior, Aggro Druid, Secret Mage, Murloc Paly are flooding ranks basically clogging progress.

Time has passed since the release of Un'goro. By now almost everyone has knowledge of what archetype can work and what cannot do that good aswell, so there are much less "random decks" than before and lots more of netdecks around. It's just normal afterall.

For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
April I was rank 5 by the 5th of the month. Then stalled out and couldn't get past rank 4. Last month I was kinda burned out from playing so much in April that I didn't play as much and only got to 9. Not playing too terribly much so far this month but today I'm 5-1 with elemental shaman!
Might be that there are just all types of players there at the moment pros and all?
"Pros"? In a card game based on draw and matchup luck? Huh?
like "formula one" drivers in the race based on start position and collision luck\
Not even remotely close to being a good comparison. Retry.
Pro poker players?
Nope - another fail. Poker is completely different than HS. Everyone uses the same deck. There are millions of dollars at stake. You can bluff. Theres table position, the blinds amount, implied odds, being pot committed, and a zillion other thngs that dont come up in draw-stone. Nice try though. Not even in the samge league. There is WAAAAAAY more luck in HS than high-stakes poker. Cmon man.

So people who consistently make legend and who make all of their income from Hearthstone don't count as pros?
Both Tournament regulars (firebat, pavel) and streamer personalities (kripp, day9) are considered pros.

Fine, theyre pros but its kind of silly. Its a digital card game with wonky effects and crazy randomness. You play a LOT and use a tier 1 deck and youll get to legend too. Its a time committment more than anything. You only need a 50.1% or higher win rate. The game aint THAT hard. C'mon. Many players are content with Rank 5 or somewhere in there. With more "grind" most Rank 5 players would get it easily. Not a big difference at all between Rank 5 and Rank 1 players. Those are the facts.

If you're argument held ANY water, everyone would at least be rank 5. Guess what, that's not how it works.
Not true. Someone has to win the coinflip and get the right cards. Whomever does, wins. That is NOT gauranteed to be split 50/50 so some guy will eek out a few more wins with better draws and matchup luck. It's really that simple. But go ahead, keep believing you control anything in this fucking casino game. That's fine.

I don't wanna start a fight, but your argument is just straight up insane. Please refer to the salt thread, as I really don't wanna start a fight or get into explanations. Everyone is entitled to an opinion I guess.

Not fighting - the game is setup this way. Its fine. People have to accept that its a dice roll. Rocks, paper, scissors. So be it.

im stuck at 15... win/lose/win/win/lose/lose..... I keep changing decks, cards, ideas, classes.... just hard in the start of season I guess.
Early in the season, all legend players and high ranked players drop to that level, so season gets easier towards the end.
