quest warrior is easy to counter, add some more value in your decks, but then you are worse vs aggro decks... think of that and try to hit the sweet balance spot and then you got a good deck, but right now, you need to put some more value in your deck
If you seek the hard counter to quest warrior, as someone previously said (although a tad flippantly), Miracle Plant Rouge is what you want. The one with Sherazin, Corpse Flower and Arcane Giants.
You still have to play well as the rogue, utilizing Hallucination skillfully and knowing when to go all in with your board/drawing through your deck; but if you do, you should win 9 times out of 10, no exaggeration.
Played Miracle down to 5 this month, can confirm win rate. Mine was 92% vs Taunt Warrior.
It's not broken but it's one of the most monotonous, idiotic decks to play right now. Should I play this taunt minion... or this taunt minion. Should I brawl? Oh wait, I have sulfuras, I'll just 50-50 this shit.
Doesn't that basically confirm what I was saying originally? It basically only matches poorly against Jade Druid, which is hardly played any more because it's hard countered by a number of popular decks and lost key cards for standard rotation. It also performs some what poorly against the tier one deck midrange paladin, but I'm not really sold on the data for that. Look at the rest, positive or even win rates against almost every other deck, not being hard countered by priest, miracle rogue etc. There isn't a single dark red square in the chart for it.
OP, one question to you - Have you played at least 20 games with Quest Warrior?
I started this season with Quest Warrior - This deck like many others suffers when you do not get a good opening hand.
I quickly rotated though Beast Hunter, Mid Range hunter, Quest Rogue, Miracle Rogue and finally Murloc Paladin decks. By turn 2/3, I knew if I was gonna win or not. Initial game play of quest warrior is weak and if you play around their first brawl, you are golden.
I find Quest Warrior is pretty consistent. It's a solid deck, but nowhere near OP. Across the different decks I play I probably have a 65% WR against Q Warrior. The only times I struggle is if I get a terrible start, or they curve out and find thir answers.
All you have to do is pressure them. Midrange Hunter eats them alive.
Quest Warrior only loses to Control Paladin and Jade decks really, I just face rolled my way to Legend with it yesterday. Sometimes having to give up a card for the Quest lets aggressive midrange deck's nut draws get there, but as long as you play smart vs obvious archetypes like Hunter and mulligan the Quest away or don't play Sulfuras unless you're going to win that turn then they're not that big deal of a deal.
Jade druid.... and ramp druid and Midrange Paladin and freeze mage and quest rogue and miracle rogue...
But yeah sure it clearly, CLEARLY, doesn't have enough bad matchups.
Jade Druid and Ramp Druid are extinct. Most of the rest you mentioned aren't really all that bad of match ups, nothing like these 90% wr hard counters other archetypes have.

So to answer, no it is not over powerful.
I don't have the quest, so I haven't played it. Frankly, I agree with a lot of the posters here and view the play style as a bit one dimensional, so I haven't really wanted to craft it either. I have played way more than 20 games against Quest Warrior with all sorts of decks. If anything, quest warrior seems like the most resilient deck to bad early draws/weak early game, as they have so many taunts and armor cards to stall the game until they can brawl and comeback, plus they have Fiery Win Axe- one of the best early game cards there is.
The only time I feel favored is with the Miracle Flower Rogue, and even that is not a slam dunk with the Ragnaros hero power RNG. It's really an absurd quest design.
It rocks aggro. Which is good, we had a long time of aggro dominance (and I say that as someone who doesn't dislike aggro, although pirate warrior doesn't fit my personal taste).
It has tools to deal with midrange and combo, while also having chances against other control decks, sure. But here is the thing, answers are not always adequate for the questions your opponent presents. As the midrange player you need to figure out what the warrior has in his hand and play around it. Sometimes he has all the answers, that's life (or variance). As the combo player, keep other minions in your hand and hope that dirty rat doesn't screw you. You might think it's unfair when it does, but I'd argue that OTKs that can't be countered are unfair.
I guess I was lucky enough to get Warrior Quest. (Opened ~70 packs, it is the only quest I got from packs)
Frankly, I do not feel as confident in winning with Quest Warrior as I still do with Aggro decks. It is really good that we have Quest Warrior else, the meta would be swarming with Pirate Warriors or Face hunters.

One thing quest warrior is bad is u lose the ability to gain armor once u play the weapon and make u vulnerable to spell eventhough u have many taunt minions on board. Shaman and mage can slap ur face with damaging spell..then u dead

Are we looking in same place? Look at bottom of matchup table. You should see 7 bad matchups, 2 very bad.
Have played more Quest Warrior than anything else in this meta.... It is far from overpowered. Aside from being vulnerable to getting run over (decks fast enough to beat Quest Rogue consistently are definitely a threat to kill you before you get on your feet), there is now also another control deck in the meta geared specifically to beat it (discover/burn), and two other classes with control decks (pally, priest) that are capable of outvaluing it.
The deck is fun, and it's good, but it certainly has vulnerabilities. Also, I like that this rendition of CW doesn't run away with games the way they once did with Tank Up. This version has a lot more board interaction and seldom leaves you feeling that you have no chance 47 turns before it actually kills you.
the embodiment of HS ... a true 50/50 deck

Taunt warrior is one of the few decks keeping the meta from being an all out aggro fest. Leave it as it is.
speed, momentum, violence
All i read was waaaaaaaaaahmublance for screwing my winstreak when i play a face deck
it is not broken but it is the most boring and one dimensional deck ever existed.
Dead but dreaming

Quest Rogue is now gone, Warrior is the new lamb?
